stac14 · 11/12/2009 14:21

wonderstuff hope your ok hun, think everyone is right its probably just the peaks and troughs of pregnancy, I feel totally different this time compared to the way I felt with DS

tsc lol at bikini hair being burnt off, mine is very stubourn to, had an accident with microwave wax one year where it actually stuck fast to the hair (pure agony) Enjoy your hols

wwsw & summer defo stay, this is were you started this journey so you need to stay

Loving the stories about tit punching and squeezing, I have been doing the same things lol. DP thinks I have lost the plot, when I first found out I was pg I did loads of tests for days after it, still have a clear blue digital in the drawer that I may still use.

Hope everyone feels better for the weekend, thought I was getting a long lie but DS is playing football, hate being a soccer mum in this weather lol.

p.s I got the travel sickness bands and they have been quite good, managing to eat without waiting till I am starving

Take care ladies xoxox

TishTosh21 · 11/12/2009 14:37

Hello everyone, havent been on here in a couple of days, thought id just let you know know that everything is still going ok! got mw appointment on wed

Wonderstuff · 11/12/2009 16:53

Feeling better after sleep, was still asleep when my mum brought dd back from mil's (got everyone on board as at beginning of week couldn't look after her, was just soo sick). Glad WWSW and summer are staying

Going to try to chill out this weekend.

tjtheminx · 11/12/2009 18:42

I just got back from obs.... scan went great and saw a little jellybaby and heartbeat and all!All in all looking good.
I am 8+3 ( was hoping for 9+ but hey..) and EDD now July 20th.( I have personal reasons to believe July 20th is a good sign!)
wonderstuff I have fluctuating symptoms all the time and seem to go between wishing the symptoms were gone and then wanting them back again....

I have been referred for a CVS on 8th January. (last pg ended because of a chromosomal abnormality) I'm in denial about the test ... refuse to even think about it till after Christmas.

TishTosh21 · 11/12/2009 19:29

i feel sooooooooo fat! im only 9+2 but just feel like my stomach has expanded 4 times the size, i look horrid

stac14 · 11/12/2009 20:50

tj great your scan went well hun, try not to think about test. Did you get a pic?

Glad you feel better wonder it's probably just the symptoms coming and going

tishtosh know how you feel and I am only 8+6, dp told me last night I was looking a little plump, which is a cheek from the guy with a beer belly lol

anyone any plans for this weekend? Apart from sleep I plan to get the xmas decorations up, try to bring some festive cheer about the place, hope everyone is well x

kinnies · 11/12/2009 23:10

Hi guys,

Not been on here foe a bit. Had a bit of a scare prob wind and just wanted to keep my head down about my pg iykwim.

Anyway all's fine with it now apart from the all day sickness. If I can just keep my fluids up to stay out of hospital over christmas I will be pleased. Sicknes is just so much worse this time because I have a 22mth Dd to look after this time. Just feel so gulity that I cant be the same fun mummy to her that I was a month ago

wonderstuff I dont know if I'm right, but I always thought that a HPT would show neg or a lot fainter if your pg was over. Maybe try in a few days just to reasure yourself. It is normal for sicknes to go for a bit so dont asume the worst hun, because youve had no bleeding so have every reason to be posative.

kkfairybrains · 12/12/2009 00:31

aw wonderstuff poor u try not to worry! my nausea had disappeared for a week and was standin in the shop 2day and was seconds away from puking all over the shop floor! seems to be completely normal to have the symptoms come and go and u should count urself lucky for the days u feel ok!
im in stitches laughin at the booby punching! thank god im not the only 1! i swear i think im going mad sometimes the way id b hitting them and then when it does hurt im cursing myself!
people are starting 2 notice im pg! my granaunt asked me straight out the other day so i just said yes but keep it quiet and she said well ur not going to be able keep that quiet for much longer while patting my fairly rounded tum! thought it was just bloating but it doesnt go down anymore! this is my first so dont know how im showing so soon! at this rate im going to be an awful size! im hoping that like wwsw they are going to bring forward my edd cos thats the only way i can see that id be showing. 11 weeks yest cant believe its that already!

WinterMadness · 12/12/2009 07:07

Is it just me or does anyone else get annoyed when people act all smug when you tell them you're pregnant cos they reckon they knew? No? Just me then?

I told two of my work colleagues yesterday and one of them practically said 'I told you so'. So annoying. NO YOU FOOKING DIDN'T!!! She reckons she's as accurate as a pregnancy test...it was the main reason I didn't want her to know to be honest. It's just a way of turning it round so it's all about her instead!

Sorry, rant over! Only thing I'm suffering with at the min is terrible skin Got a terrible outbreak in the hormonal area around my mouth/chin. The type that's really sore - it's bad enough having spots but it's so much worse when they're throbby ones isn't it

Wonderstuff, I have every confidence that things will be fine, hopefully an appointment with the GP or mw will put your mind at rest.

I've been a 'one pregnancy test is enough girl' in the past but I've just remembered I had a dream I did a clear blue dig last night at it came up 3months+ Must be reading about you lot doing all your tests. Hopefully everything's still going ok inside my chubby tummy, will feel better after Wednesday's scan.

See you all later

Firerise · 12/12/2009 08:16

Morning,

Been catching up on the last couple of days and pmsl at disolving bikini lines!

wonderstuff in the nicest possible way I hope you feel just a tad sicky today just so it can put your mind at rest. X

I had my scan on Wednesday at the epau and jelly bean is doing well! 13mm and an amazing heartbeat! Still have a cystic area in there too but it hasn't grown so they are going to ignore it and hope is goes away of it's own volition. They also have diagnosed me as having a bicornulate uterus which is a bit of a worry but they think due to where the implantation site is the baby should have enough room to grow to term in there. Nothing can be done so we just have to wait and see! I'm sure it will be fine.

Also had my booking in apt yesterday which went really well! Should have my next scan before new year but as we have seen the heartbeat already will tell everyone at Xmas! Can't wait!

Going out with my mum now to buy some bigger clothes as I am busting out of everything that was loose only 2 weeks ago! Plus gone from a b cup to a d cup!

Hope you're all having lovely weekends! X

Firerise · 12/12/2009 08:18

winter that would have annoyed the crap our of me too! Very hormonal at the mo so hoping people don't say stupid stuff when we tell them!

WestYorkshireGirl · 12/12/2009 09:36

Hi Ladies

No offence, but I can't keep up with some of you as I work full time and am home late and then have to go to bed early! It's hard to keep up with everything when there's 20/30 posts to get through. So I have started a slower thread for anyone who wants to join me in posting less often, but still sharing about our pregnancies! The thread is
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/876978-July-2010-a-quieter-thread-for-those-who-can-39?rnd=1260 609884771 and I hope this works!!

TishTosh21 · 12/12/2009 10:26

morning everyone! Hope everyone is well, feeling a little nervous about my mw meeting on wed. really want to know when ill get my first scan, thats all i can think about right now.

Feeling so tired as am gettin up every single night to go to the loo, also people who live above us make noise morning, noon and night, feel like throttling them sometimes. Might have to go and shout at them when my angry hormones come into force!

stac14 · 12/12/2009 21:23

tishtosh how many weeks are you? Is this your booking in? The scan is included in my booking in appointment, i got an early scan but booking in is 6th jan. Know what you mean about going to the loo a lot. I feel as if i am sleep walking lol. I seem to get angry v easily at the mo puting up the tree was a nightmare, dp was driving me mad. Has anyone else felt like this? X

beckyg123 · 13/12/2009 08:35

Morning! Yes I was up 4 times for toilet last night. I think its got something to do with holding water all day (hence the huge tummy at night time) and then peeing all night (almost flat tummy in morning!).

Stac I am also getting angry or tearful very easily! DH and I had chat yesterday, he was really upset as feels i'm pushing him away- asked if it would be better for me if he stayed away from me for a few days! Of course i got angry and cried but then managed to explain how i was feeling... think we both cried (or maybe my tears got on him?) made up and feel much closer now.

My scan is also included in booking in - must be the way in glasgow! I'm in on 31st dec, so will make hogmanay all the more special!

I'm not feeling sick this morning and we are going to my mums tonight for my birthday tea! its not til 17th but can't see her during the week! she's making sticky toffee pudding...mmm... so glad i feel well today!

Chulita · 13/12/2009 09:20

stac14 I've got no patience at the moment and I feel like I'm living in a fog - so tired!
After being up for sex big style a couple of months ago, DH said last night that he'd like some and I really am not ready for it Grr!

stac14 · 13/12/2009 09:57

think dp feels the same becky he is going to see a friend today and i'm looking forward to peace lol. Just cant wait till emotions calm down.
chulita dp has been talking about it as it was all the time as ttc but now i'm too tired, think he understands though
How are you feeling today? I am v.grumpy at the mo xx

Chulita · 13/12/2009 13:19

I hope dh understands, I just feel sick...how can I feel remotely sexy when I want to throw up?! I'm not too grumpy today, spent most of it playing xbox though thanks to DD's mega long nap

TishTosh21 · 13/12/2009 17:59

Hi stac im 9+4 today, I dont know if its my booking in appointment Ive been to the docs and they took my details, then the mw called and we set up a date for me to and see her at the sure start childrens centre on wed. I thought it was just the paperwork side of things, its not in a hospital so wouldn't of thought a scan would be included which is why i want to ask her when i will get one.

Im getting really angry at things too, its not just you stac!

stac14 · 13/12/2009 18:56

tishtosh I knew I wasn't the only one getting angry at things hun, I was just curious to see if anyone has any good ideas on how to calm do or do we just grin and bear it lol. They may have a scanning machine at the centre you are going to, heres hoping eh? I'm not getting my actual booking scan until I am 12 weeks but think it depends on area.

chulita know what you mean, dp keeps mentioning it but I can't be bothered lol was so lazy today though, managed to stay in bed for ages and can't wait to get back in and much to dp's dismay its not for that

Emster30 · 13/12/2009 19:47

Hello all!

I thought I had a bug on Thursday/Friday as I was a bit headachy but the main symptom was total lack of energy - I could barely get out of bed. It slowly dawned on me on Saturday that actually it was more likely to be normal pregnancy tiredness than anything else. I have felt gradually better but am very weak still and having to take it easy. I had a long day Christmas shopping on Tuesday followed by a late party in the evening, then a trek home across London on public transport followed by an early start and a long day at work on Wednesday, and I think I just overdid it. I'm going to have to take it a bit easier!

On another note I had a little sherry last night, my first drink since my BFP, and it was sooooo good! It tasted amazing and really relaxed me and made me feel fab. I think I might start having a little drink once a week, it won't do any harm and it was so nice.

WinterMadness · 13/12/2009 20:04

It's funny Emster, last time I was up the duff I really missed a drink. But this time I'm really not bothered at all. Don't even feel gutted I can't drink at Christmas (there's time for that to change tho!)

Stac, can't remember your stats from the list but I'm guessing this is number one? Make the most of your lazy weekends in bed because trust me, they'll be a distant memory before you know it. My DS is up at 6am every day. Unfortunately, I have to get up with him every time so haven't had a lie in since he was 3 mnths old...he's now one! Ah well it's a good job I love him

Only two more full days till I get my second scan. I'm about 90% sure things are ok, and I've had no further bleeds or pains, but can't wait to be 100% and then I can get on with enjoying Christmas! Will be 11weeks tomorrow...

Emster30 · 13/12/2009 20:21

I have to say I am struggling a bit with the not drinking at this time of year! It's the anticipation of it, especially when I'm going to be out with people who don't know, but when I'm actually out it doesn't seem to matter so much and I am enjoying not having hangovers. Am missing mulled wine though.

Good luck for the second scan WinterMadness! I've still got 17 days to wait for my first scan. I am pretty paranoid that there will be no heartbeat but I have no reason to think anything is wrong (touch wood) and I have plenty of pg symptoms so I guess I have to think positively.

WinterMadness · 13/12/2009 20:33

I had no symptoms last time (very few this time too) so I know how you feel. I SO didn't feel pregnant, so much so I thought they'd tell me there was nothing there at all at my 12 week scan, nevermind no heartbeat, lol. I'd no doubt have felt the same if Mother Nature hadn't intervened this time!

Maybe it's cos I have zero social life that I don't miss a drink. Although I do like a glass of red in the house normally but like I said, not bothered at the moment. Give me another 20 weeks I'll probs think differently
