madmissy · 26/11/2009 19:25

Well done annie! Love the name. can't wait to see pics of these bubs!

LittleMonkeysMummy · 26/11/2009 20:45

Congratulations to all the new arrivals. Am actually quite jealous as I still have 5 weeks to go until my due date Seems like ages away!

Am now feeling very uncomfortable as head is almost fully engaged and baby seems to like spinning around on its head - ugh! Anyone else struggling to keep anything down at the moment? The only thing that doesn't make me throw up is ice cream!

Hope everyone is keeping well and lloking forward to hearing about more arrivals!

AmazingBouncingFerret · 26/11/2009 21:11

Im feeling the uncomfortableness (is that even a word?) now.
Baby is doing the resting on a nerve thing and the shooting pains that go down my left leg are unbearable I actually collapsed to the floor with the pain earlier.
I cant walk very far now, so not looking forward to having to walk DS to the childminders in the morning!

Mybox · 26/11/2009 21:50

MAny congratulations Annie xxx

Bluestainsash - thanks for the update and good luck for you xxx

Mybox · 26/11/2009 21:52

Catz - also feeling shivery - think it's supposed to help nerves & calm you.

Have had lots of BH - some just like the real thing but not - never had so many before. Can't sleep at night because of this.

Only want to eat crisps!

With my last postnatal thread we all stayed on antenatal until the last one was born, and moved over together...seems nicer?

OP posts:
Milliemuffin · 26/11/2009 22:53

I agree there should be another thread as some of us potentially still have another 7 wks to go and with all the congratulations there won't be any room for 'pregnancy' talk which is surely what this thread is for? It'll just make it seem so much longer which I'm sure nobody wants/needs.
(Hope that makes sense and doesn't sound horrible, I don't mean it to...)

madmissy · 27/11/2009 08:29

well done kingsroadie!! ouch at her hand on head!

oh how exciting!
perhaps we starts a postnatal when few more have popped?

Claire236 · 27/11/2009 08:41

Congratulations kingsroadie

Last night I was having pretty painful contractions every 5 mins & just as I told dh I thought it was actually the real thing this time they eased off. They're back to every 5 mins this morning but not particularly painful. dh wants me to go to hospital & see if anything is happening but I don't want to particularly as ds is off school today so it would mean getting someone to look after him & having to tell them why. I'm sure everyone's had quite enough of my contractions & I've got no intention of saying anything to anyone until I'm absolutely sure I'm in labour. Think dh is worried I'll end up giving birth on the living room floor. I'm afraid you're all bearing the brunt of my moaning. A friend pointed out yesterday that as I'm not 39 weeks until Monday I could go another 3 weeks before the baby arrives - why would you say that to someone who's been having contractions for 2 weeks already.

madmissy · 27/11/2009 08:48

claire ignore the unhelpful advice!!

i had stop start labour for ages just like you think its called latent labour... the cx would show on the monitor etc and then all would stop.
it was doing something though and then when i did go into labour it was 3hours long and fast

i had a great midwife and i got so fed up with the on/off and the spd i broke down in tears in hospital and refused to move without induction

get checked out when you can. i know what you mean though about childcare its a nightmare

my BH have really started pisking up and this is right when they did it with dd2 (the on and off) got a consultant appt on monday and my spd still sore so thinking of asking if they will induce again, she knows i am possibly wanting it as we have spoken every time i have seen her about it

big hugs and dont give up! is there anything that you can keep busy with today?

not going to say try this that etc as tbh unless your body wants to start or you want to down castor oil we have to sit it out not long tho...

Claire236 · 27/11/2009 08:56

Thanks madmissy. Just knowing someone understands how I feel has made me cry. It feels like I'm always moaning. dh & I had already decided this would be our last baby but this pregnancy would certainly have put me off ever doing it again. I thought the last one was bad enough. I really hope you're not going to go through the same thing again.

madmissy · 27/11/2009 09:14

it got me very down it was awful. have you told midwife how you feel? try and get looked at when you can and dont take no crap or brushing off from them let it all out! best thing i did!

if it helps my dh was against us having another as my pg was awful with dd1 and worse with dd2 when depression kicked in and he was terrified of a repeat of it this has been a miracle pg and has turned everything around for us so don't be down on that if you did want more.

my hubby was scared of 'losing' me again if that makes sense?

here if you want a chat anytime my email is [email protected] x

sparklycheerymummy · 27/11/2009 09:59

let us know if there is a post natal thread set up so i cant watch and chat on that too..... still wnt to know how everyone is getting on and to be honest hearing about the babys that have been born gives me sight of what is at the end of the road for me too!!!! (sort of like us all sticking together???!!!!) I dont mind hearing about the babies and i am sure the new parents dont mind hearing us talk about pregnancy ?????

congrats kingsroadie

madmissy · 27/11/2009 10:01

yeah lets just stick together no?

sparklycheerymummy · 27/11/2009 10:05

i am happy whatever but dont want to feel cut off just cos bubba is comfy and not ready to move!!!! xx

Scorps · 27/11/2009 10:26

Kingsroadie congrats!!!

claire - with dc3 i was the same for 2 weeks, all niggly ad on the day o my nans funeral I swore I was labouring. It's very tiring

OP posts:
sparklycheerymummy · 27/11/2009 10:29

i was having some sort of contractions every 20 - 25 mins last night and was convinced it was happening...... got into bed to rest.....fell asleep and woke up with nothing!!!!! Its annoying...... my waters broke first with dd so i dont know what to expect really!!!

sparklycheerymummy · 27/11/2009 13:08

NOw got to go to the dentist for the second time this week as i cant have a proper filing so he is trying to bodge it till i have had baby. i want to cry so i am!!!! fed up...... baby feels like it is hanging out and i am sitting on its head and it hurts!!!! dp has arranged to keep working next week if i havent had baby BUT his boss has been fab and says he can take some time in loo to take dd to school first...... he normally starts at 7am and wont start till 9.10am. Lovely lovely boss hey!!! Means his paternity leave wont start till baby is here but he can still do the bit i need him to so i can stay in bed and sulk!!!!!! sorry ladies am not happy today..... have even avoided coffee with a nice friend cos i cant face anything!!!

Scorps - thanks for the reply on the jab. I know you can't actually get flu from it because it's a dead vaccine but apparently it can give you flu like symptoms for about 48 hrs according to the NHS leaflet. A few friends who've had it (not pg) have said they felt really rough for a couple of days, feaverish at night, couldn't sleep etc. I know lots of people are fine but don't really want to risk that and then go into labour. Ideally I'd have it soon after delivery and hope to pass something on via breastmilk. Also not a great time to feel rubbish but I'm guessing I'll be feeling rubbish and in bed a lot anyway! Not sure if they'll let me do that though, waiting for the nurse to ring me back about it.
