Well done to all new mummys Especially missy as we are same due date Am getting increasingly annoyed and bummed with being pregnant. I just wish I hadn't become nocturnal...sat up most of the night in bed watching snow fall...which was nice really, unlike the other nights where I just can't sleep or think about anything else but giving birth and waiting for waters to break at any second. Had another couple of bloody spots and been getting awful period pains, but then NOTHING...ARGGHHH!! Bloody body playing tricks on me and baby doesn't seem in a hurry

No need to be jealous stig, these lovely painful every 15 minute contractions have lasted through the night and not got any nicer or closer together. So im still here. Annoyed. Had more of a show when I went the loo this morning though.

Hi Guys, Just got back from hospital and thought I would say Hi.

Catherine Emily was delivered by Elective section at 12.15 on the 17th December weighing exactly 7lbs (so that sonographer was very wrong!!) She's doing really well, feeding well and very alert. She looks just like DS, I have to keep reminding myself that I'm not just reminiscing!!

Am feeling so good after the section that I wanted to come home yesterday but couldn't get discharged. Haven't needed any other pain relief than a few paracetamol and was up having a shower the next morning!

Good luck to those who are still waiting and congratulations to those who delivered while I was away.

My lovely baby arrived very, very late on Thursday night. We have a gorgeous little boy, but haven't got a name for him yet, so he's temporarily nicknamed Snowy (in honour of the weather whilst I was labouring) until DP and I can agree on something more permanent! He is currently snoozing on a pillow propped against my thigh, with DP following his lead, curled up next to him on the sofa. Looking down at my two snorty, snuffling men asleep with their heads together, I can't imagine I could feel more content.

Labour was more painful than I'd believed it would be. All my plans about hypnobirthing, pools, massage and controlled breathing shot out the window when I arrived at hospital 4cm and in agony (although TENS helped me reach that stage). What really helped was G&A and pethidine! Lovely stuff. No crouching and guiding my baby out myself either - it ended in the old fashioned 'knees bent up to my shoulders, chin on my chest, roaring wwwwrrraaggghhhh' type way. His big noggin got wedged, as he's a generous 8lbs 11, but a small cut helped me get him out. I've never felt as euphoric as when I felt him slither through my thighs and was then suddenly on my tummy, hollering and beautiful. I keep tearing up recalling how wonderful it was to have him with me.

I've barely been on this thread since joining very late, but am looking forward to participating properly on the post natal club, and have been excitedly reading about the other babies' arrivals. Well done little babies!

Just thought i would have a bit of a nose on this page. have 5 weeks to go on the Jan 2010 thread! we have welcomed a few already on ours aint that strange for whatever reason when babies are ready they just come!

Ds2 no name yet, was born yesterday morning at 10.12 after only arriving at hosp 2 hours before! He came very quick weighing 8lb 9oz. He has however broken his collar bone and has damaged nerves in his right arm but have just taken him back to see specialist and he has refered him to physio but thinks he'll make a full recovery.
He fed well soon after birth but not interested since... But i'm sticking to it!
Will catch up now with all the other new arrivals :-)

Congrats 1pet - although sorry to hear your DS has broken his collar bone - hope it heals soon and he starts feeding again soon.

Hi well done to the new arrivals! Home now with girls and getting used to a 4yr old 2yr old and 2 day old! Lol.

Feeling ok but tad sore from pushing him out back to front. Way more painful than the girls were!

Brodie is a little star feeding well sleeps well hardly crys. I feel blessed and he really has completed us.

Looking forward to more BA's!

How you all doing girls? Can't believe i'm about to say this but miss my bump already!!
