millie!!! thats superb! so glad it kicked off on its own! well done you!

had a sweep again today but no change still prosterior and cervix closed feeling very crampy and tight since this morn but not looking into it

really crapping it about tomorrow tbh hopefully this time tomorrow i will have my baby boy

AmazingBouncingFerret · 14/12/2009 17:19

Congratulations millie!

Im finding today an absolute nightmare. DH came home from work complaining of feeling sick, so have had him grumbling all day and now I cant stop throwing up, plus horrible cramps, plus the nerve pain. Joy!

Claire236 · 14/12/2009 18:10

Congratulations peumahue, sparkly & millie. That's an impressive weight sparkly - I'm guessing you're not going to get any use out of your newborn clothes.

madmissy · 14/12/2009 18:28

FFS hospital just rang and i've been put back a day
so now going in on the 16th

its my birthday on the 17th and my dd1's nativity on the 18th, shes playing mary and im soo proud and i may miss it

sat here sobbing how stupid is that

GoldenSnitch · 14/12/2009 18:44

Stupid, pointless, incompetent hospital!

I went in to the day assessment unit at 2.30 after telling the midwife that I had a headache, numb fingers and felt dizzy and sick. She was worried because I had pre-eclampsia with DS and my blood pressure has been slowly creeping up.

They finally saw me at 4.30! and my blood pressure was 138/90! Now as far as I understood it, anything over a 20 point rise on the lower number was a bad thing and my BP at the beginning of my pregnancy was 100/60!

I saw a consultant who wanted to admit me - until I mentioned that I had my pre-op tomorrow at which point he changed his mind and decided I could go home? Surely, I'm either worrying enough to be admitted or I'm not, what difference does my pre-op make?

At no point did anyone even attempt to listen to baby's heartrate.

So I'm still worried (and I still have a headache) I don't know what to do. Midwife is finished for the day and there is no point ringing the labour ward as they will just refer me back to the same people who just sent me home. The only good point is that I guess not a lot would have gotten done overnight even in hospital and I'm likely to get better sleep at home than I would have done on the ward.

So confused and so scared. Don't feel in the slightest bit reassured. In fact, I'm even more worried now!

Sorry about your delay Missy. I can completely understand why you're crying. I would be too. Make sure you send someone along with a video camera to catch your DD playing Mary if it comes to it. I hope you're out in time to see it.

And congrats to all the deliveries. I can't wait to join you.

Shimmer · 14/12/2009 21:22

Congratulations Millie!!

Oh no Snitch. Hope you're not stressing out too much and manage to get a good rest tonight. It is awful that noone listened to baby's heartbeat when you were hospital today! Good luck for tomorrow.

Pumpkin - I feel your pain! My DS was early too and was really expecting this one to be early too. But DD is tomorrow and so far nothing! Grrrrrr ....

ABF - Those Braxton Hicks are annoying are't they!?! I had loads last night and actually got quite excited that it might be all kicking off, but then nothing!! And nothing all day today either.again!

Got some EPO today after reading about sorry i've forgotten who mentioned it on here. I tried 1 up the fanjo this afternoon but found I had slightly oily knickers afterwards. Is a little bit of leakage normal, or maybe i didn't get it up far enough??(Sorry TMI!!)

Just watching Amanda Holden training to be a midwife on ITV. It's quite interesting actually. I'm so obsessed with anything to do with labour!

Stigaloid · 14/12/2009 21:28

Congrats to all new mummies.

Sorry to hear about your ordeal snitch - hope all goes okay tomorrow.

Have a couple of days to go and am so fed up. STILL throwing up - my dinner just reappeared and i am fed up with having been sick every single week of the last 40 weeks.

And yet i really want to see Avatar at the cinema on Thursday so am in two minds as to whether accost my husband or keep my legs firmly shut! Gah!

sparklycheerymummy · 14/12/2009 22:33

thinking of you snitch. newborn clothes all gone back to shops today.... and size 1 nappies only just fit. used breast pump tonigt as one boob was getting slightly lumpy. still in shock about his size.... 10lbs 110z.... and the fact hat when pushing i didnt even use gas and air apart from to bite the nozzle!!!!loving it all..... toby is so chilled compared to how dd was!!!!

GoldenSnitch · 15/12/2009 03:42

Nausea and headache woke me up at 1am. It's now 3.41 and I'm trying to pluck up the courage to phone the labour ward. They always make me feel like I'm wasting their time

GoldenSnitch · 15/12/2009 03:52

Actually got someone nice!!

Going in now...

GoldenSnitch · 15/12/2009 07:10

Home again.

BP is still high and I now have protein in my urine but bloods were clear. Hospital offered to keep me in if I was worried but I'd rather spend the day with DS.

Doctor said I'm unlikely to feel better until baby is born now so it's headaches and nausea till Thursday

They'd better not bump me now!!

1petshortofazoo · 15/12/2009 08:15

I'm sorry your still feeling rubbish snitch but glad you got someone nice when you rang.
If they bump you now it will be out of order considering how your feeling. I've got my fingers crossed for you x

madmissy · 15/12/2009 09:05

snitch sorry you're feeling so rough i'm hoping they don't bump you to different day

still peeved that i should now be in!

oh well mass order on next for xmas pressys that i need

i had better not get another call tonight

madmissy · 15/12/2009 09:07

shimmer

you need to do say 2-3 tabs and i do in eve at bedtime and wear a pad

GoldenSnitch · 15/12/2009 09:10

Just getting me and DS ready so I can drop him off at my friends while I go for my pre op.

I'm sooo tired as well as feeling sick now as I've been up since 1am. I can see any attempt to talk me out of Thursday ending in tears!

Thanks for the crossed fingers. I hope they work.

I hope you don't get another phone call Missy, that would be awful

madmissy · 15/12/2009 09:12

good luck with all pre op stuff babe x

MumGoneCrazy · 15/12/2009 10:47

Hiya ladies

Im not pregnant (i only had my baby girl 12wks ago so i hope not anyway ) was just wondering if anyone has heard from Tillyscoutsmum and if she's had the baby

She was on a thread of mine early monday morning and was in labour waiting for her babysitter so she could go to hospital.

Congrats to all the new mums and good luck for all them waiting

GoldenSnitch · 15/12/2009 12:49

Back from Pre-op.

No-one tried to talk me out of it which was reassuring. Lots of buck passing though. Apparently, the doctor I saw last week should have had me sign a consent for but didn't, the labour ward should have taken some blood and gotten me to sign the consent form this morning to save me having to go back in for the pre-op appointment, oh, and I should find someone to look after DS so I can sleep all day! Like that's easy!! I've got him watching Robots so I can have a quiet sit, I think that's about the best I can do for now. DH is off tomorrow so I'll have more help

I'm second on Thursday apparently and the lady in front of me has lots of issues which isn't good news either so I'm hoping all goes smoothly for her so I can get in ASAP. I've got to be nil by mouth from Midnight so I'll be very, very dehydrated by lunchtime.

One good point though - they've given me the prescription for my pain meds already and said that DH can fetch them as soon as we're back on the ward. Apparently, lots of people are getting fed up with there being no visitors allowed at all! (although siblings are now allowed between 4 and 6pm) so they're discharging straightforward cases after 1 night so long as they're prescriptions are filled. I could be home on Friday!

She said to keep my hospital band from last night on too as it'll save time when booking in.

Not seen Tilly. Hopefully baby is here and she's all loved up on a maternity ward somewhere

Thanks for the luck Missy. Hope you get some too!

AmazingBouncingFerret · 15/12/2009 12:58

Going in for a sweep at 2:00.
Thankfully the sickness bug only lasted till the early hours, Me and DH were just laying on bed grumbling and taking it in turns to run to the bathroom and throw up!! DS was great bless him, just left him to play on his own.
Im actually glad I didnt go into labour yesterday!

Good luck Snitch.

GoldenSnitch · 15/12/2009 13:21

Good luck ABF. Hope the sweep isn't too uncomfortable and that it works.

Fingers crossed. x

madmissy · 15/12/2009 13:45

glad the pre op went well
grr to the should haves though...

i rang the hospital earlier and made sure tomorrow still ok, spoke to same lady as last night (i apologised!) she was lovely and was very reassuring and said its very very rare to have to move a woman twice and tomoz looks like a easy day
she ended convo see you in the morning so i am reassured now

phew

how you feeling snitch?

ABF glad you are feeling better hope sweep kicks things off! im hoping the one i had yesterday has encouraged things a bit more for the first gel

GoldenSnitch · 15/12/2009 15:09

Feeling OK Missy. Tired obviously and still headachey but nowhere near as bad as last night!!

Just back from seeing the midwife - I know it was a fairly pointless appointment given the amount of blood pressure and urine checks I've had in the past 24 hours but she's lovely and always reassures me.

BP is down a bit again (although still high-ish for me) and the protein is back (it had gone when I had a test at the pre op?!)! Baby's heart rate is still just fine too.

She wished me well and said she'd see me after wards! She's not recommending coming out of hospital on Friday but she says they are kicking people out ASAP because of swine flu. I guess I'll see how I feel. We'll have loads of help Friday to Monday as DH's Mum only works mid-week so it might actually be the best way to get some proper rest if I come home. Those hospital beds aren't the most comfy things in the world and DH's snoring is much quieter than 7 other huge pregnant women - I might get more sleep at home

I lost loads of blood last time so had to stay in but hopefully, cause I won't have been in labour, it might be better this time.

Got one last day as a family of 3 tomorrow and then DS is going for a sleepover at Nannies as we have an early start on Thursday (got to be there at 7.30) Might even make DH take me out for dinner one last time while we're child free...?

Hope the sweep had an effect ABF and I hope your induction goes well tomorrow Missy. Hopefully, we'll all have our babies by the weekend

1petshortofazoo · 15/12/2009 16:09

just been to get some RL capsules, and they are huge!!! I managed to take one with a gallon of water.

I'm really hoping I get a call this week to say my pram has arrived, I really want to have a play with it.

good luck snitch missy and ABF

AmazingBouncingFerret · 15/12/2009 16:22

Well I didnt have a sweep in the end because id had a nice muccusy show not long after I posted last comment, so I chickened out. I have been booked in for induction on monday 21st. They wanted me in on the bloody 24th but my consultant put her foot down.
Ive been told to relax as much as possible () so have bought one of those chinese banquet meals from asda and once DS is in bed we're gonna veg out on new sofa with a cheeky glass of wine.

Hopefully we will be announcing 3 babies very soon snitch and missy

madmissy · 15/12/2009 16:53

oooh ABF thats good news! hoping something comes from it then! and monday not long away at all!

snitch good that BP has dropped slightly, im scared on blood loss too after my placenta prob last time

my mil picked up the girls and now has them for 2 nights so hubby and me sat here chilling very odd

feeling really emotional about tomorrow and bit scared to be honest

dd1 leaves pre school this week and i was given her folders today when i picked her up, im so proud of what she has done and how grown up she has become! so i had a good cry over that too

sat here with killer BH the sodding things
