Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
sparklycheerymummy · 03/12/2009 13:30

a few but nothing major :-(

Scorps · 03/12/2009 13:33

When i had a sweep it was fine, just a bit of a rummage

Stig - I had spotting in last weeks of dd1, i think its probably baby weighing down and shifting old blood out of the way. Plus if you have had sex lately that can cause it too.

Sparkly - have some more RLT and play with your nipples

OP posts:
madmissy · 03/12/2009 13:52

yeah flick your nipples lol

ouch!

sparklycheerymummy · 03/12/2009 14:02

i did that in the bath earlier dna was squirting milk everywhere but it def made something tighten down there.......

madmissy · 03/12/2009 14:04

you know what i have not had any leaky nips or anything this time! with the girls it was really bad! this time nothing!

sparklycheerymummy · 03/12/2009 14:57

I was the same with dd but still was unsuccessful with breastfeeding!!!!! Can baby be moving loads if you are about to go into labour..... its really hurting!!

BexJ78 · 03/12/2009 15:28

well still no news here! Haave been for waxing session this morning, so at least if anything does happen anytime, I am not looking like a gorilla! My back is killing me, but that's nothing new. had pineapple his morning, still taking rasp leaf tabs, but don't feel any different. hope mw will have some words of wisdom tomorrow!
take care everyone and good luck to those who think things might be starting to move!!!

AmazingBouncingFerret · 03/12/2009 16:09

Hey everyone.
Pains are still about 30 minutes apart but have now become alot more painful. Im being sent to bed now by DH incase we end up with an allnighter.
Wish me luck!

Scorps · 03/12/2009 16:11

Good luck! If it's real, it will continue/progress through your nap. Hopefully this is it!

OP posts:
GoldenSnitch · 03/12/2009 16:11

Good Luck ABF!!!

sparklycheerymummy · 03/12/2009 16:43

good luck ABF..... more show here but thats it!!!

GoldenSnitch · 03/12/2009 16:58

Well, I'm off out tonight for my "works" Christmas night out.

Me and the other SAHM's I met at Antenatal classes decided that it wasn't fair that we didn't get a works night out anymore when we were working very hard so we organised our own. This is our second year running now

We go out once a month for dinner but at Christmas we allow the other halves to come too.

It's only TGI Fridays tonight but it'll be a nice night out. DS is going for a sleepover at MIL's and she's already offered to have him for a few hours tomorrow morning. Can't decide whether to go nursing bra shopping or do some serious nesting while I've got some time off...

I hadn't really factored in this baby being early cause DS was late and induced but as an early arrival could be a side effect of this fluid thing, I'm feeling a bit twitchy now and like I need to be ready...

GoldenSnitch · 03/12/2009 17:10

The problem now of course is finding something I don't resemble a tent in!

Hoping for good news from ABF and Sparkly in the morning

FedUpWithRainyDevon · 03/12/2009 17:38

Good luck ABF and Sparkly

Having some irregular mildish pains here too but bet it's nothing.

I had a mum having a good feel of my tummy today - she's the only one who ever feels it but I don't mind too much as she's very nice and becoming a good friend - but she said it won't happen any time soon because I am carrying too high. It's weird how everyone has an opinion but yet even a midwife can't tell you when it's going to happen.

I want to prove her wrong so I'm going to do some bouncing on my ball now and see if I can help the pains become something... I really want to avoid my elective CS date if I can avoid it. That's 12 days max for me to go.

AmazingBouncingFerret · 03/12/2009 19:02

Gah no worse, no better, cant really sleep have too much going round my head.

sparklycheerymummy · 03/12/2009 19:17

I cant sleep either but thats because of dp snoring...... sorry its not snoring its obstructive sleep apnea....... WHATEVER!!!!!!

still waiting

madmissy · 03/12/2009 19:30

Ooo exciting.
We've been putting up border and last pic things in nursery will do a pic when its done!
Had some good pulling scratching down in my fanjo OUCH!
Nothing though I imagine lol

sparklycheerymummy · 03/12/2009 20:01

just made the mistake of trying to work out every last bit of what is written in my notes...... so i thought head down was good..... now i find that it has to be look down not up to be really good!! also not sure what membrane over vertex tilt means...... can hardly read writing....... ooooooooohhhhhh i really shouldnt look!!!

sparklycheerymummy · 03/12/2009 20:04

might say filt, lilt, gilt, jilt....... why are medical people so bad at handwriting!!!! why do i insist on driving myself mad with the bloomin notes!!!!

madmissy · 03/12/2009 20:17

Have you googled the abbreviations?
No idea on the look up not down?! Whats that mean lol
When you next at midwife?

sparklycheerymummy · 03/12/2009 20:26

at hospital for overdue app next monday. have googled it all but think i should stop. midwife said baby was in a pretty good position and i think i should just accept her word!

Stigaloid · 03/12/2009 20:37

Good luck Sparkly and ABF

Corvy - i had a sweep last pregnancy and it didn't hurt at all. If you are ripe and primed to go it shouldn't hurt. If it hurts it can still work but it just means you aren't as soft as you could be for it to work in a matter of hours IYSWIM.

sparklycheerymummy · 03/12/2009 20:40

SHe said my cervix was nice and soft but i think i must be a wuss...... i was a bit tense as had dp and student and a very excited midwife!!!!

Stigaloid · 03/12/2009 20:48

Oooh sounds intimidating - well done you for getting through it and keep eating the pineapple! Sending speedy birthing vibes in your direction.

LaDiDaDi · 03/12/2009 20:59

Hope to hear some news from someone soon.

I've been trying to get sorted for Xmas, really stressing about my mum's present, aargh!
Wrapped up everything that I have bought so far. Waiting for MIL present to arrive and need to buy presents for granny (aged 99)? photoframe for a pic of her new greatgrandson, great aunt (93 and blind)?chocolates and other granny (83 but completely demented with no awareness at all)?nighty. Why do I always leave the difficult ones until the end??? Going to try to sort some of those out tomorrow am whilst dd is at nursery and then might take her to buy a new Xmas tree tomorrow pm.

Bored with pregnancy now.
I want some champagne!
