cant believe i am on an internet chat site discussing the fact that i cant find my cervix!!!!!! LOL

Its weird though cos i dont really do chat sites but i feel like the guys on this thread are my 'friends' ....... reluctant to post on other threads now cos they too often get nasty and people just seem to want to argue xxxx Can u tell i am feeling emotional..... next thing i will be telling you all that i love you!!!!!!! ha ha

Also dont know why i put LOL....... i hate that abbreviation!!!!!!

madmissy · 02/12/2009 10:26

hehe think its because we are all getting to that desperate stage and gone through it all together so far if that makes sense!?

and lets face it you lose all inhibitations when it comes to childbirth!

sparklycheerymummy · 02/12/2009 10:28

sleepychunky · 02/12/2009 11:07

Hi everyone, thought I'd let you know that my December baby (due on 7th) made an early arrival on Monday 30 November at 00.40. DS2 weighed 7lb 2oz and came pretty quickly - 2 hours from 4cm to delivery, 2nd stage lasted 5 minutes. Benjamin Francis is doing very well so far - sleeping lots and not really bothered about feeding so I'm having to wake him up every few hours to get him interested. His big brother is very pleased with him and learning how to give gentle cuddles.

Good luck to the rest of you

LaDiDaDi · 02/12/2009 11:10

Fantastic news, Sleepychunky. What a quick birth! Lovely names too. x

Congrats sleepychunky!! ! !!!!!

I have had my sweep which she seemed really pleased with.... bleeding and got yukky stuff now and very achy so we will see...... if not i have a repeat sweep on monday! My dps face when she did it and i was in pain was so incrediby sweet. . . . he is usually such a joker!!! SHe was reluctant to do it at first as she likes to wait till 7 days over but my next appointment is 9 days over and i said i couldnt wait that long!!!!

madmissy · 02/12/2009 13:30

OOH sounds like you are having a show sounding good!

sparklycheerymummy · 02/12/2009 13:35

baby going bonkers..... have been told to stay active so am wandering round aimlessly....i though baby might slow down but quite the opposite!!!

biscuitsmustbedunkedintea · 02/12/2009 13:39

Oooo fingers crossed Sparkly!

And congrats to Sleepychunky! You sound very laidback and relaxed in your post -not sure of that's actually how you feel

madmissy · 02/12/2009 13:42

sparkly walk back to the school but dont overdo it as you will get tired and tbh i reckon things are starting this is exactly how i was with dd1. do u have a birthing ball? or gym yoga ball all the same lol

AmazingBouncingFerret · 02/12/2009 14:12

Congratulations sleepychunky!

Hope things are getting going for you sparkly.
I went to see midwife yesterday im measuring 34 and the baby is 4/5ths engaged, is that good?
I have made an appt to see her (midwife) next weekend and she didnt seem too convinced that I would make it...
Im worried now! even though ive been desperate to get this baby out, all of a sudden im scared about labour!!! Ahhhh

sparklycheerymummy · 02/12/2009 14:15

ferret..... that sound good .... i am only 3/5ths now but as it is my second the midwife says they dont usually engage fully till labour. Have done some ironing and taking dd to a hospital appointment so keeping as busy as i can. getting the birthing ball out now xx

madmissy · 02/12/2009 14:16

that sounds good! i'm same but in notes as 1/5 engaged lol

also have to say i'm nervous about whats to come

sparklycheerymummy · 02/12/2009 14:18

me too madmissy..... worried about missing dd while i am in too. X

madmissy · 02/12/2009 14:18

sparkly i LOVED the ball with dd2! meant i could sit down but rock about and thats great to get baby down more too!

and yep normal for you not to engage fully until DC born with subsequents.. so hoping me already engaged is another good sign lol!

that or 3rd time around im super loose

sparklycheerymummy · 02/12/2009 14:20

ha ha...... my friend refers to herself as bucket f*y as she only had to push a handful of times and her dd was out!!!

madmissy · 02/12/2009 14:21

sparkly you will be fine.

will never forget DH bringing me dd1 in ( i had to stay in) was one of the proudest days of my life! she will seem huge too!

are you worried about having enough love? as that was my other huge worry! im worrying about it now with DS1 on the way! but at least i know its normal this time!

madmissy · 02/12/2009 14:22

yep dd2 was only 4mins compared to 1hr with dd1!

mind you dd1 labour 23hrs dd2 3.5hrs!

AmazingBouncingFerret · 02/12/2009 14:24

So the fact that this is my second and the baby is 4/5ths means that things are happening?
I should of asked midwife but I dont know why but I always seem to go blank when im at an appt.
And bugger I was at argos today buying my nephews b'day present I should of bought an exercise ball whilst there!

Im scared about labour because I had the most straightforward textbook labour first time, which amazed everyone because of all the things wrong with me, so I just know that this time round its going to be different.

madmissy · 02/12/2009 14:28

its good that bubs is already in the gogo position but could stay that way for a while BUT still good

AmazingBouncingFerret · 02/12/2009 14:32

Ok good I have plenty of time to panic then.

madmissy · 02/12/2009 14:35

well not long really... when you think about it!
