Dexter (Dexy) or Mason for me!

We aren't going to use Maisie anymore, it's not feeling right or special enough, just like something we settled on. If baby comes out a boy (lol) we will use Mason William.

lovely names.
what are you doing for a girl then? lol

Scorps · 30/11/2009 11:47

Lacey [something]. [something] would have to be Xmas related and 'normal' but not end in 'e' sound like Hollie. Maybe Faith or Nicole, but maybe not, they're not sitting right.

OP posts:
madmissy · 30/11/2009 11:48

Hollie is my name

Scorps · 30/11/2009 11:50

We want to call her Hollie if born on 24, 25 or 26 Dec. I really just want some middle names!!

madmissy · 30/11/2009 11:52

my birthday is 17th but mum came home with me on the 24th. middle name is Victoria

Catz · 30/11/2009 12:01

yay - we have hot water! Only 50 hrs after the 'emergency' plumber was called but better late than never. Was tempted to make 'about to give birth noises' to wind m=plumber up but restrained myself!

I have been getting the 'oh your still here then' comments since about 35 weeks. Getting quite stressful now at 39 weeks and not even overdue yet.

Am now going out to lunch with friend haven't seen for ages... he's just suggested we meet somewhere v posh and I'm looking at the sad remnants of my wardrobe and wondering how I can make a pair of maternity jeans that keep falling down plus a top with odd stains over the bump look remotely presentable...

FedUpWithRainyDevon · 30/11/2009 12:17

Aw Catz can totally sympathise with the maternity jeans falling down. It seems to me most trousers must be designed by men or women who have never been pregnant. I have some from H&M which are meant to be over the bump tracky bottoms but the tie is right round the biggest part of my bump so every minute I am hoisting them up again - really annoying when you have your hands fall and they fall down! (Luckily not out of the house yet).

Why don't they tie over the top of the bump?

That's my very exciting thought for today
x

FedUpWithRainyDevon · 30/11/2009 12:18

hands full not hands fall, duh

BlueChampagne · 30/11/2009 12:29

How about Robyn for not-too-Christmassy girl's name?

Milliemuffin · 30/11/2009 13:07

I've thought of Robyn aswell, like the singer...

Scorps · 30/11/2009 13:26

Robyn's not really my thing, though DH will probably like it! Really stuck!

sparklycheerymummy · 30/11/2009 13:29

no snot just this ringing which is annoying when trying to sleep!!!

Bump02 · 30/11/2009 13:32

Hi ladies Congrats to all the new mummys

Haven't been on site for a while, so glad to see the list is getting shorter (in a nice way of course as it means babies are coming now)

I'm 37 weeks today and had a niggling backache all day yesterday, and just before bed I think I had a show???? I say 'I think' because with DS my waters broke so I don't really know what a show looks like, but had yellow/cream discharge and streaks of pink/light red blood (sorry if that was TMI) and had belly ache (dull period ache) all through night, but managed to sleep and feel nothing this morning and no signs of blood. Haven't called midwife as I'm sure I'll just get told to take it easy etc Am getting impatient not knowing if and when anything will happen, also am a bit early, though had DS at 38 weeks!!

Just thought I would share as sat at home and reading up on "shows" x

sparklycheerymummy · 30/11/2009 13:32

i have hair bobbles either side of my mat jeans holding a bunch of the elastic bit together.... it works ..... then i just tuck the bit inside. I love the names Dexter and Faith......I know a faith and its sooooo lovely and gets lots of compliments. We have opted for Alice and Toby. I liked Jonah but dp didnt and we decided we had to agree!!!!

sparklycheerymummy · 30/11/2009 13:39

bump02.....mmmm that sounds like something is happening but i am same as you..... my waters went first so i dont know either!!! xx

madmissy · 30/11/2009 13:52

Faith is lovely name but again i am biased as thats one of my sisters names haha!
they are twins Aimee and Fayth

Bump sounds like body getting ready for something my show was gross and enough for me to see not just discharge iykwim?
and blood streaked too.

eeek my hospital appt soon dreading that cons will say no to induction

madmissy · 30/11/2009 13:55

oh bump we are due same day!

Mybox · 30/11/2009 14:05

Bump02 - sounds like somethings happening - good luck!

Here I'm 38 weeks tomorrow. Had dd5 3 wks early & dd3 2 wks early so wondering what will happen. HAve a drs appt tomorrow so if I do go into labour in the day at least I'll be at the hospital!

Moosy · 30/11/2009 14:17

How about Eve for a middle name (especially if born on the 24th!), I want to use it but then her initials would be FEC

sparklycheerymummy · 30/11/2009 14:20

ha ha moosy i love it!!!! Fec like on father ted...... but of you hadnt raised an eyebrow i wouldnt have thought. i used to want ben...... but initials would have been BJ!!!!

Moosy · 30/11/2009 14:24

My dad's initials are BJ!

We're still stuck for a middle name too, first name is almost definitely Felicity and DH likes Lucy but I think that might be a bit of a mouthful. I quite like Belle but not totally convinced.......

AmazingBouncingFerret · 30/11/2009 14:29

I wanted my DS middle name as Charlie after my great uncle. His initials would of been JCB, really wish Id gone for it now but DH wasnt kean.
The baby will have the initials ERB, lol bless her.

sparklycheerymummy · 30/11/2009 14:32

oops sorry ...... didnt mean to offend moosy!!!

Moosy · 30/11/2009 15:27

S'ok Sparkly, I've always sniggered about it
