I got my BFP yesterday, AF not due til Sunday Tested again this morning just to make sure I didn't dream it.

Have been very sick already which is what prompted me to test, also very very tired.

Looking forward to seeing other people on this exciting journey

please feel free to take one, if like me you have SERIOUS munchies right now!

Shmoo75 · 24/11/2009 06:42

Hi all. I just got my BFP this morning on CD42 day before AF is due. My CB digi says Pregnant 1-2 I am so, so, so happy but, also scared as, I have had 2 m/c's. I will be going to my Dr's this evening and, will ask for an early scan but, I will refuse to go to an antenatal appointment until I have passed the 8wk since my last period mark as, that is when I have had my other m/c's. Not sure weather I will be due July or August due to my stupid long cycle. Last period was 14/10 so, going by that I would be due 21/07 but, going by when I had my Peak on my CBFM which was CD29 I will be due on 04/08. I know my Dr's will go by my LMP until I have had a scan. Hope everyone is doing ok and not too tired. I've just realised I have 5wks to do my Christmas shopping in and, I've just found out I'm up the duff! I'm knackered just thinking about it!

vinocollapso · 24/11/2009 08:37

Aussieng - good luck on Thursday, let us know how you get on. Don't worry about work, it's the same here, and the fact is, women work, and until men can have babies, the work place will have to cope!

Kaylo feel free to join the anxiety club! So sorry to hear about your m/c - keep staying positive and everything will be great!

I still have NO sickness, only tiredness and nipples like bullets, so I guess I should be thankful!

Gracie - I first saw the midwife at about 10 weeks, though this was just for blood tests and to make an appointmnet for a 12-week scan. I will however be ringing the EPU to make an 8-week scan appointment to put my mind at rest. If all is ok at 8 weeks, I'll relax.

Have a relaxing day everyone.

bouncingblueberries · 24/11/2009 09:19

Morning everyone!

How's everyone feeling today? Last night I was so shattered I could happily have gone to bed at 7.30pm. Managed to stay up til 8.30pm though

Gracie - you must be soooo exciting after 2 years of trying! Wow! Thanks for the jammy dodger - starving already, despite 2 breakfasts.

vino I'm not experiencing any morning sickness yet either. Try to enjoy the lack of it at the moment!

Blimey I'm sleepy though.

What's all this about requesting early scans? Can we do that? I had an early scan with ds due to a bleed, didn't realise you could request one though.

bouncingblueberries · 24/11/2009 09:20

sorry, I'm trying to ejnoy lack of morning sickness

Gracie123 · 24/11/2009 09:38

It's so funny that people now think 2 years is a long time of trying. It seemed hideously long to me, but GP kept saying it wasn't that long and 10% of normal, healthy couples with high fertility rates don't fall pregnant in that time
TBH I got flamed on another post for talking about adoption rather than fertility meds when people found out we had only been trying for 2 years (not nearly long enough by some peoples standards!)
Felt like an eternity to me and DH though, and we are so very excited.

We picked a name already anyone else willing to admit that yet?

bouncingblueberries · 24/11/2009 09:46

We were discussing names hours after getting a bfp

Gracie well, I think your GP is bonkers - 2 years is a long time in my humble opinion. But then, I am an instant-gratification type of gal

Chulita · 24/11/2009 09:54

Hello! According to calendar I'm due July 25th but DD went 2 weeks over so I'm not counting on this one turning up on time - thought I'd hop on the August one too. I haven't gone to the GPs yet so haven't got a scan date or anything, last period was October 18th so I'm going from then - about 5+2.
Hope everyone's doing well today!

bouncingblueberries · 24/11/2009 09:56

Morning Chulita

Right, going to log off and ban myself from mumsnet for the rest of the morning. I MUST concentrate on something other than pregnancy today - I've got a stack of work to do and don't want anyone getting suspicious!

Aussieng · 24/11/2009 11:29

Bloody hell - I felt sick this morning. Car is in the garage so I had to get the bus in to work. Was eying the hat of the woman in front of me very nervously! The good news is I have seriously gone off pizza and bread and am fancying a salad for lunch (chicken bacon and creamy dressing so not actually as virtuous as it sounds).

Hello to all the new people - it's good that this is starting to fill up.

Gracie - were you having fertility treatment?

I'd also like to know about the whole early scan thing. I thought that there was automatically a scan at 8 weeks followed by another at around 12-13 weeks is that not the case?

Chulita · 24/11/2009 13:33

You get 2 scans usually, one at about 12 weeks and one around 20 weeks.
2 years is ages! My goodness! If we'd been waiting that long we'd be worried...how odd!

Gracie123 · 24/11/2009 14:22

Aussieng no - GP would not let me start fertility treatment because she didn't think we had been trying long enough and were still fairly young
We had discussed it and was supposed to be having bloods taken to consider clomid this month but, voila! no longer necessary!

I saw MW today and am having scans at 6wks and 8wks. I'm told that they won't be able to see an embryo, but because I am high risk for ectopic they want to check that the egg sac is in the right place.

Actual dating scan (check for heartbeat) will be as normal at 12 weeks.

KayloHalo · 24/11/2009 16:46

Hello fellow pregnant ladies

Do you think we should start a roll call with due dates etc?

Heres mine anyway

KayloHalo #3 1st Aug

Still gren at the gills. But actually kinda liking the fact that theres something to show I'm pregnant cos I didn't get any symptoms with my m/c.

I did a ClearBlue Digital this morning to see if the amount of weeks have changed....and they have
It now says 2-3weeks, much to my delight.

I hope everyone is doing well and coping.

xxxx

Chulita · 24/11/2009 18:28

KayloHalo #3 1st Aug
Chulita #2 25th July (but I'm betting I'll be late )

vinocollapso · 24/11/2009 18:42

Oh god KayloHalo, now I'm worried! I'm having no sickness at all, do you think that's a bad sign?

bouncingblueberries · 24/11/2009 19:41

Vino me too - although I am very tired. But they do say every pregnancy is different and I'm sure I read somewhere that only 50% of women suffer morning sickness.

Add me to the roll call please:

KayloHalo #3 1st Aug
Chulita #2 25th July (but I'm betting I'll be late )
Bouncingblueberries no.2 2nd Aug

muddler · 24/11/2009 20:23

Hello again - you all well?
I had visit to GP today as I had small amount of brownish discharge (I know, eeuww) last night and felt crampy. Not much can be done this early to check things out, symptoms seems fairly common and normal but you never know.....
I have a scan booked in for two weeks away to check things out. Did another pg test and it now says 2-3 weeks so I am hoping it is a good sign.
Trying to relax!

Chulita · 24/11/2009 21:01

vino - I don't feel remotely ill, a bit tired but not sick at all...give it time, it can still kick in! I was sick as a dog with DD for 22 weeks
I'm trying not to think too hard about stuff, I don't feel pg but the tests are positive. If the worst is going to happen advance warning won't make it any less painful [sigh] I hate the uncertainty of the first few weeks!
Goodnight all!

vinocollapso · 25/11/2009 05:21

Thanks bouncingblueberries and Chulita - I don't feel pg either! Even though I most certainly am. I shall just relax and not be such a paranoid wreck. Thank fuck for this forum - without which my other half would have left me by now!

The uncertainty is horrible, and my usual remedy of a glass of wine to relax me is fully off the table!

muddler - hope you're ok, as you say, all perfectly normal and nothing to worry about. Am keeping fingers crossed, and let us know how you get on.

The updated roll-call:

KayloHalo #3 1st Aug
Chulita #2 25th July (but I'm betting I'll be late )
Bouncingblueberries no.2 2nd Aug
Vinocollapso #1: 27th July

Have restful days everyone. xx

KayloHalo · 25/11/2009 08:07

Vino I'm sorry, I didn't mean that everybody should be having morning sickness - just that I never got ANY syptoms with my mc thats all. In fact - I've never had sickness this early on with my other 2 pregnancies, if my memory serves me correct then I didn't get m/s til 8 or 9 weeks.

Roll Call - In date order so we know who's due first:-

Chulita #2: 25th July (but I'm betting I'll be late )
Vinocollapso #1: 27th July
KayloHalo #3: 1st Aug
Bouncingblueberries #2: 2nd Aug

How is everyone? It's gonna start getting real busy on here soon I bet

Love to All xxxx

bouncingblueberries · 25/11/2009 08:29

Morning girls

vino try not to worry, we'll be cursing ourselves when the sickness kicks in!

muddler hope all is well - I have lots of little bleeds when I was pregnant with ds, so fingers crossed for you.

Kaylo have you cracked open the ginger snaps yet?

Well, I didn't so much as actually feel sick this morning, but I did begin to feel very odd indeed when I was making breakfast. Was in such a daze that I put honey on my bagel by mistake. Wouldn't normally be an issue but when I got a whiff of the honey yesterday I wanted to run a mile. Thought I would try it today since I'd put the damn stuff on my precious cinnamon bagel - and there was no way my body was going to let me ingest it! I was so hungry but just could not force the honey down at all. Very odd, I usually adore honey. So I guess that's another pregnancy symptom to chalk up - severe aversion to cheap tesco honey!

I've got the dentist today. I'm dreading it. I need to have a filling replaced

Have a lovely stress-free day everyone!

KayloHalo · 25/11/2009 09:56

BouncingBluberries Have not gone down the ginger route yet but only because I forgot that ginger helps lol So I will buy some today.
I have found myself addicted to orange lucuzade tho - I'm so tired exhaustion just hits me like a wall at about 3pm yesterday I had 4 bottles

I don't know exactly whats sets my morning sickness off yet, I know I can't go near the dishwasher at all. I can only keep toast down on a morning which is annoying cos I love a coffee to help wake up. Have no problem drinking it in the afternoon however. Odd.

Good luck with the dentist honey - I feel for you, I hate the dentist!!

xxxx

bouncingblueberries · 25/11/2009 10:52

Thanks Kaylo

"can't go near the dishwasher" That's a good one! Ha ha!

Must say, with my first pregnancy dh did nothing to wrap me in cotton wool, which was a major blow considering I was growing our pfb! But this time, he's being really attentive. Probably because there's less pressure on us this time (no house move looming etc!)

BigMomma3 · 25/11/2009 11:19

Hi there, can you add me to the list please as not sure how to!BigMomma3 no 4: 2nd AugustAm rather shocked by the news but happy.Bit concerned about the possibility of another set of twins though as I had sore boobs and strange taste in mouth for quite a while before I tested. Clear Blue says 3+ weeks on the conception indicator and first day of last AF was around the 26th October so surely that can't be right , although the last AF was not as usual (will not give TMI!!). Am going to the docs on Friday and will beg for an early scan as I really need to know if more twins so I can get over the shock asap and then enjoy the rest of the pregnancy .No sickness yet. With DD did not have any. With DTs had an aversion to Weetabix with milk but that was it so hopefully will be lucky this time as well.
