oh my lordy I thought death was upon me yesterday! I have never ever felt so ill All I kept down was toast and haribo, even my apple juice came up (although it still tasted of apple juice so taht was a plus).

And yet today I felt ok and wsa able to to for a (exceedinly gentle) short bike ride. weird.

givecarrotsachance · 02/01/2010 20:16

Oh cosmo how utterly miserable.

How many weeks are you now?

I'VE JUST HEARD MY BABY!

Picked up heartbeat for the first time on our home doppler. Best £20 I ever spent. SFF put the headphones on, broke into a massive grin and gave me a big smooch! Kept losing the little bugger though... Get to hear it properly on Thursday at first NHS ante-natal appointment anyway. Going to be a relatively good birthday week, methinks

Oh cos sorry you'll been feeling like poo. It it helps he has given me his stinking cold, so I get to go back to work feeling so much shittier than when I left for Christmas - boo!

rots think you wrote enough here to make up for all three places anyway! . I travelled not north but a little further south for the hols actually. ILs in another lovely rural shire!

skihorse · 03/01/2010 06:08

Casper How exciting! I've been wondering about whether to get a doppler or not...

Cosmo You poor thing - it's bloody miserable isn't it? I'm very proud of you going out for a little ride though, well done! I'm also delighted to see that Haribo have entered your "healthy eating" plan! I've found the days I've felt/been sick have counterbalanced the days I ate like a pig and so weight = stable. All round winnter!

Carrots I'm really sorry you may be leaving us - I will miss you very much if you go. Plus who will talk me through breastpumps and the like?

CurlyCasper · 03/01/2010 10:52

got the impression rots was sticking with the PESHies. Hope I'm not wrong...

ski do it - it's amazing. I was listening again before bed, this time in a completely different place. Didn't think they moved much so soon!

iggypiggy · 03/01/2010 16:05

Hallo PESHies - am BACK BACK BACK!!!!

Who knows how long for as scan is tomorrow at 6pm... so will probably be weeping/ screaming all day in terror...

Just hoping that this time it will be ok... who knows...

cossie sorry you feeling shit - much sympathies

hello to the rest of you - will catch up soon - gotta go bake some cupcakes (get me)

CurlyCasper · 03/01/2010 16:10

good luck for tomorrow iggs! I now have cupcake

skihorse · 03/01/2010 16:27

Yay iggy - I'm glad you're back and I loved your holiday pics - it looked beautiful. You will be fine tomorrow - you've got giant norks and you've already seen your baybee - all is good!

Please to have cupcake too?

givecarrotsachance · 03/01/2010 17:38

Hi everyone - I'm staying here, dropping t'other place! And capster you're right - that's me problem - I keep not working and instead posting on the various places! But I'm staying in the Pesh place.

iggs have fun tomorrow. It will be great!

cas where did you find the doppler for £20? I want one!

ski @ breastpumps!!! I saw one in the NCT catalogue with an integrated bra - apparently good for working mums . Not sure I'd be happy sitting at my desk with that going on!

OP posts:
CurlyCasper · 03/01/2010 18:47

rots there are loads here

givecarrotsachance · 03/01/2010 20:35

Which brand did you get?

OP posts:
givecarrotsachance · 03/01/2010 20:59

I am a fucking fruitcake. I'm sitting here looking at dopplers coz I WANNA HEAR MY BABY'S HEARTBEAT and they say to use them with a full bladder, so I'm desperate for a pee yet not going, so it's full and ready to go.

Only just realised that I was doing this, so I'm now off to the loo.

OP posts:
CurlyCasper · 03/01/2010 21:07

the angelsounds jumper. It works! (even though I could not find the little blighter this avo. plenty of wind-rushing-through-the-trees womb noise though)

givecarrotsachance · 03/01/2010 22:29

OK cool, that's the one I've ordered, thanks!

OP posts:
givecarrotsachance · 04/01/2010 09:39

Did you use it with the gel or just on its own?

I had a "wombsong" with LC which I still have, but it's really just a sort of microphone/amplifier, not a doppler. Not sure I'd want to use the doppler too often with it being ultrasound but it would be really nice to have. The wombsong (eww @ the name) only works later on - maybe in the 3rd tri when the kicking is enough to know all is well!

iggypiggy · 04/01/2010 09:46

Sorry for inducing cupcake envy... they are very nice tho...

I do have giant norks... and I do still feel pants in the mornings - but not so bad as before.. just general ropeyness - oh yeah and always tired.. always...

Terrified myself last week as had terrible stomach pain.. then to my shame I went to the loo and all was fine after that

Anyway - am shitting self today... but there you go... Thanks for the thoughts PESHies

skihorse · 04/01/2010 09:49

Iggy I slept very badly last night (worry about coming back to work) - woke at 3 with a cramp. Farted. Everything fine after that.

What time are you going in for iggy? Remember, don't do what I done did and turn up 3 hours early like a fool!

CurlyCasper · 04/01/2010 09:52

Go iggy! It's going to be great. all that wind is a good sign.
ski I was awake most of the night stressing and snivelling. Worries about work. money etc. Had a good cry at 4am. Stupid girl - good sleep time wasted.

rots I use mine with Aloe Vera gel. works a treat!

I hate being back at work...

iggypiggy · 04/01/2010 10:05

It is def 6pm ski I haz checked

I haz also learnt that farting is often the cure for terrible stomach cramps these days

Is anyone else getting this wierd 'boiling hot' have to take all the covers off me at 5am thing?? Last an hour - then am ok again...

casper I worry at night too... is v annoying when could be fucking sleeping!

CurlyCasper · 04/01/2010 10:14

am opposite iggs. ILs were all roasting round a log burner at Xmas while I was shivering in two jumpers. Two duvets on my bed, heating turned right up and I am still permanently freezing

skihorse · 04/01/2010 10:19

iggy I'm either teeth-chatteringly cold or I'm throwing duvets off and stripping - there is no happy medium. Well, I say that but I've been at the office 4 hours and haven't taken my clothes off yet which is probably a good thing on the scale of "good things".

iggypiggy · 04/01/2010 10:59

cassie I is always v. v. freezing when am up - my nose is always cold is just an hour of fire at night!

ski that is what am like too...

Cosmosis · 04/01/2010 12:57

I too was awake for ages and ages last night, seems I wake about 4.30 every night for the stressing.

skihorse · 04/01/2010 13:19

Cossie I had weeks and weeks and weeks of that, getting up for a bowl of cereal and a surf/bit of TV before back to bed. I'm doing better now... in the sense that I just sleep through and through...

I have now been awake nearly 8.5 hours.

CurlyCasper · 04/01/2010 13:49

ski I've just found out that another one of my friends based in Clog-land is also due in July. don't know why I felt the urge to tell you that, it's not like you'll know eachother...
