haha maybe I do Curly - although tbh I don't know any British women here, only Dutch, Israeli and Russian.

What time can we expect iggy to be logging on with her happy news? n.b., iggster you can't expect me to be awake much past 8pm your time.

iggypiggy · 04/01/2010 14:19

ski I won't get near a computer until about 8pm I reckon.. could poss put something in the other place from my phone... depends on what the news is tho

skihorse · 04/01/2010 14:26

Good luck - I'm sure you'll be fine - you're sporting the knockers of a champ by all accounts. I also really, really hope for your sake that they don't start talking about your dad - although at least this won't be dildocam, so it could be worse. I have absolute faith that it's all going to be fine for you iggy.

iggypiggy · 04/01/2010 14:37

Well he did talk about my dad last time - surely he will have exhausted that topic of convo

Fanks for the positive thoughts PESHlet - I know it sounds silly - and you prob all think am being silly - but I really can't get unworried about it - cos I still have the memory of going for a scan expecting all to be fine and then being given bad news - I truly had no idea anything was wrong... I is trying to be positive tho x

Ponymum · 04/01/2010 14:38

I am glad I'm not the only one who gets such relief from a fart. One minute I am in terrible agony, convinced there is something wrong wi t'baby, the next minute all is OK after a tyre-deflating-ish fluff. And we glow/bloom when, exactly?

givecarrotsachance · 04/01/2010 14:56

LOL @ the farting . Not saying a word, me .

iggs am thinking of you. I completely understand your stress and you're not being silly - I think most of us have felt that or still do. I kind of feel that I've made it all up . Mine is next Monday but it's why I ordered the doppler after cas mentioned it. I'll try to log on later to see if you've posted. Although I understand your stress I know it'll all be fine so look forward to nice news later. Are you doing the nuchal scan or ignoring it?

OP posts:
iggypiggy · 04/01/2010 15:17

rots I fink this is a nuchal scan and bloods today (combined downs test I fink)?

skihorse · 05/01/2010 07:32

iggy Have they revised your due date?

carrots Yes, it's probably about time we hung a spangly banner across the deli which reads "No luv, you're not having a mc, you just need a big fart"

iggypiggy · 05/01/2010 09:17

morning!

Bit hyper....

ski no due date exactly same - still 20th July. Amazing scan pics (well amazing for me - boring for the rest of the world!) - also baby moving about v. much - wasn't actually expecting that.

Also got downs risk from nuchal measurement as 1: 1650 - which is good innit. Blood test results back by midday

CurlyCasper · 05/01/2010 09:27

woo hoo for iggy!

I'm due July 20 too, and all the sites I've registered with are today emailing me to say my first trimester is over! Week 13 begins here - what a great birthday present (sorry, I've never been one to be modest about birthdays. I likes them too much, even if I don't like getting older)

Anyway, the point was that I guess that goes for you too iggy. So congrats on excellent results on the completion of your first trimester, and here's to a happy, healthy and less stressful second

skihorse · 05/01/2010 10:13

Big congrats you two - that's really excellent news! Aren't the PESH girls doing well?

I am also delighted to report that at 11+6 I have put on only 2lbs which I'm really happy about as weight is such a sensitive issue for me. I think a pound of that is boobage and the other pound is blood... look at my skinny toes/elbows!

I have however already scoffed two of my sarnies and the Egyptian girl has brought in direct from Cairo sweeties and cakes filled with pistachio honey goodness.

iggypiggy · 05/01/2010 10:15

Oh yeah - i got weighed too - he said 'how much you think you weigh normally?' so i guess... and i am now 3 pounds lighter... no logic... maybe lost muscle tone tho

Might be the not drinking too...

iggypiggy · 05/01/2010 10:16

Also thought I saw someone that looks like cunty on the tube yesterday.. but unlikely to actually be her I guess

iggypiggy · 05/01/2010 10:44

Right - a dilemma... although i think I know the answer...

You might remember that I said we were getting a puppy this year - has been planned for ages. I have just been emailed a pic of the puppies, born yesterday - we had booked a girl puppy with the breeder almost a year ago... now - the puppies won't be ready to collect for 8 weeks... So... If we go ahead that leaves me 4 months with new puppy before July...

What do I do?!

skihorse · 05/01/2010 10:57

iggy Well, when your husband is working late nights you will have another "person" to cuddle... the baby will have a "best mate" from birth and it will also get "established dog" off the hook with regards to tail/ear-pulling. Well done on the 3lbs - that's really good news!

I can't imagine cunty on the tube... I think you should be on the look out for a chauffeur driven Silver Shadow with the sound of gin bottles clinking against one another over the purr of a powerful, yet almost silent engine.

iggypiggy · 05/01/2010 11:01

ski there is no logic tho - I def look fatter and have huge tits - can only assume is lost muscle... I like your thinking re: puppy - have also posted a thread about it, so am expecting a thorough pasting

skihorse · 05/01/2010 11:10

iggy Well obviously a puppy will give the baby bad AIDS or something like that - at the very least the baby will have two heads, one normal, one e-coli.

Although from what I recall, the last time someone mentioned pets on the pregnancy section there were over 100 responses and only 2 or 3 which were really negative (and clueless as to the dangers!)

CurlyCasper · 05/01/2010 11:10

iggs you'll have a few months while still at work to settle pup into a good "independent" routine and can then have her for company when on maternity leave. Yes, it's a lab and will chew all the baby's toys etc, but it will also adore you and bubs, and will have your older dog for both amusement and guidance while you are busy being a mum. You already know what you are in for with a Lab pup, so it's not like you'd be going into it with your eyes shut. And when it comes to walks etc, you've got to do that anyway with big dog, so as long as you and your OH think you can manage, just go for it! I'm a bit jealous in a way...

CurlyCasper · 05/01/2010 11:13

iggs had to bump your thread so I see what happens!

iggypiggy · 05/01/2010 11:13

Have a look at the pic of the puppies on FB

I posted in the pets section - maybe should have done it in Pregnancy too - for comedy value!

ski think you right re: cunty and tube - but would be freaky if was her....

CUNextTuesday · 05/01/2010 11:16

As much as I love the concept of a purring Silver Shadow to ferry me back and forth to my 'government' role, alas I do suffer the tube to get home. Iggs I would have got on at West Brompton at around 4.15 and off at Putney Bridge around 4.25. Short and sweet. I had my ipod in, a blue furry-hooded parka on and a very misanthropic look on my face. I saw someone I knew from work get in the same carriage and I didn't want to talk to him

CurlyCasper · 05/01/2010 11:19

they are gorgeous iggs such good memories for me, climbing in the whelping box among them all every time we had a litter in the house...

iggypiggy · 05/01/2010 11:23

Not you then cunty was the jubilee line and was off at Bond St. Perhaps you haz doppleganger

cas The breeder has children that seem to climb all over the puppies too!

CUNextTuesday · 05/01/2010 11:27

It's just as well iggy I looked like the singing detective last night and I wouldn't have wanted to accidentally run into any of my tribe. God knows what's happened to my skin

skihorse · 05/01/2010 11:53

But good things happen when BESHies collide - look at the magic which came out of the iggy/casper meeting - much fertility was had!

A fertile meeting - say cunty/iggy would've rendered Jackie Stallone with octuplets!
