You use the stairs at Waterstone's?

Anyone got the run-up to Christmas can't be arsed working feeling?

skihorse · 18/12/2009 13:57

I haz also done this today:

"I changed my address in your system at the beginning of November. I have received a pay-slip to my new address so I know it has gone through part of the system.

However, I have not received the Christmas present catalogue at my new address which is making me very sad and I'm worried Santa thinks I've been a bad girl. :-( "

What do you think? Will this pull on HR's heart-strings or will they laugh at me?

Curly I meant to leave half an hour ago but I'm interviewing people I have no intention of employing until 4.

I'm suffering like Cossie - anything strenuous, e.g., walking the dog, walking around the supermarket has me looking for a bench/tree trunk for a wee sit down.

CurlyCasper · 18/12/2009 14:04

Having been horizontal for four days, I suddenly have some energy. Expect it will dwindle before tomorrow night's firemen's Christmas do!

CurlyCasper · 18/12/2009 14:32

ooh that's the sort of thing we used to do at my old work at this time of year. will message you cunty. But am I allowed to time-waste when i still have four more days at work?

CUNextTuesday · 19/12/2009 13:21

Am into my second trimester today

CurlyCasper · 19/12/2009 13:37

congrats cunty! Third of the way there already (ish) Time is going faster than I thought it would.

skihorse · 19/12/2009 15:23

Congrats cunty!

Agreed casper - the time is flying. I'm just back from town with a pair of jeans which may allow me to sit down at the end of the day without whimpering.

skihorse · 19/12/2009 15:24

ps ms at 11:30 am today. pukey pukey

CUNextTuesday · 19/12/2009 16:18

how many weeks ski? 10 is it? It will go soon.

Ponymum · 19/12/2009 17:59

Really? I am 14 weeks and still puking. When I saw the midwife this week she said, 'Oh I had ms until 20 weeks, and of course some people have it all the way through.' Great, thanks for being so positive you sour old cow.

Sorry you are pukey ski.

skihorse · 19/12/2009 18:30

I'm 9-ish, my mum was sick until 7 months.

givecarrotsachance · 19/12/2009 21:56

Sorry sicky gals

3 days now of no MS, boobs much less tender and even managed to SFF this morning (OOOOh so much fun, too, after weeks of going without as feeling too yucky). Went for a really long walk today with YOB and Caspar which was gorgeous on the sunny, snow-scattered canal path. LC's at his dad's for a whole week as I'm still working until Wednesday, ex doesn't work coz he's a lazy git and LC finished school on Friday. We have him at home for the week after Christmas (Boxing day onwards) and I miss him terribly already

How did the interview go, ski? I googled Ab Initio meta-driven data transformation and it came up saying, "do you mean Ab Initio data-driven data transformation?" so I thought I'd try to give you more help than anyone else by posting that

cunty cool - 2nd tri? Wow. I'm on about week 8. If we'd not had the scan at 6/7 weeks I'd be concerned about the symtom fail, but there was a good, strong heartbeat and all looked well so I'm just enjoying it. Are you feeling better?

I puked yesterday too. But at the time I was suffering extreme trapped-wind pain. I was furious. Had a really good day, painted my fingernails, had a nap, walked the dog, got in the shower to start prep for night out and by the time I was standing nikid in front of the mirror my body turned.[fsickness] Hot and cold flashes, extreme belly ache, sicky feelings. Had to do hair and face between several periods sitting on loo or lying stretched, front down on the floor moaning in agony. Bastard indigestion - how dare it bo soooo painful! Thankfully it had all eased by the time me, eight fireman and their WAGS started tucking into turkey. And I managed to get home by a quarter past midnight, after witnessing the group do three rounds of black sambuca in quick succession [boak]

Hope you're all feeling good today.

skihorse · 20/12/2009 09:39

Oh Curly You poor thing, that sounds horrid.

Cossie Is getting interweb access again at home on Tuesday hurrah.

CurlyCasper · 20/12/2009 09:43

hurrah! cos is coming home for Christmas!

CurlyCasper · 20/12/2009 09:50

call me sad, but I found at site that allowed to to embed this into my google homepage. Quite like seeing it change daily. Also keeps SFF in the know about how far along we are.

watching births on Home & Health

CUNextTuesday · 20/12/2009 16:30

cas can I recommend to you 'Pregnancy Desktop' - I think it's an NHS Choices thing. It comes up every time you boot up your pooter and gives images of the baybee in 3D. Very satisfying.

skihorse · 20/12/2009 17:58

Oooh cunty ya big softie - who'd have thunk it?

CurlyCasper · 20/12/2009 18:32

thanks cunty will have a nosy. I'm now PMSL at all the stories on "I didn't know I was pregnant" day on Home & Health. eejits!

cheggers · 20/12/2009 18:50

i've got iPregnancy on my phone.

not a bad little app. weekly photos and loads of info. only prob is that it's giving me a big red up arrow at the moment as it thinks i put on too much at my last weigh in.

has no idea it twins though does it!? the fucker.

congrats cunty on hitting the second trimester. have you told everyone yet or do peeps already know?

you seem to be a bit of a social butterfly. can't imagine you've managed to keep it a secret this long

carrots sorry i disappeared without answering your post. i have a mare trying to keep up with you guys with my bastard job. i'm there most of the time and then knackered out when i get home. hopefully will be around a bit more now as off till the 11th now. Get in!

anyway - am 21 weeks now. which i guess makes me a bit of a trailblazer round these parts??

can we have some of the old differs back please? donttry and nocoffee. at least to let us know how fat yers are

hope all you morning sickness suffers not feeling too bad. here, have a jammy dodger

CurlyCasper · 20/12/2009 18:56

21 weeks!?! wow cheggs that seems so far off. You truly are the leader of the gang, until one of the others shows up, as you request.

I guess you're pregnancy is no longer a secret then. at your time off.

Right, I now have the desktop, lovely 3d image of "my" almost 10 weeks baby. off to obsess some more...

CUNextTuesday · 20/12/2009 18:57

cheggs oh everyone has known since about 5 mins after positive test lol

Only held off with work colleagues, cos I hates them, and my eldest sister who I hates. Someone else told her anyway and she tried to butter-dish me up by sending a congrats text. I wasn't fooled, and besides I didn't have her in my phone so I had to ask who it was . That will have royally pissed her off

cheggers · 20/12/2009 19:22

lol at the politics of diffness reporting.

we didn't tell anyone till 13 weeks.

my mar is a fragile little flower and she couldn't've coped with any bad news. and as she is first in pecking order everyone else had to wait.

couldn't bear to have to untell people anyway to be honest so suited me fine.

came out with some right hum dingers about the not drinking thing though and (most) people actually bought it [boggle]

considering my borderline alcoholic tendencies, tis a small miracle indeed!

curly after the first 12 weeks (which i spent mostly stressing and worrying) - it seems to go incredibly fast.

i've still not made a dent on all the books i bought from amazon or even bought a babygrow yet.

then again. i'm still quite surprised whenever i see the bump in a mirror. i don't think it's quite sunk in yet
