Hello every1!! Had my scan, everything's well...& I'm having a BOY!!! I could see he was a boy before she actually pointed it out...dp was none the wiser! I was right yet again hehe We went straight out & got a little outfit, & when i got back to my mum's house, I pulled it out & showed my dd, and now she tells every1 it's for her baby bruba!!!
I'm looking forward to NYE as well..that's also my anniversary...7 years this year...plus I have my birthday on 16th as well as all the parties my mum does over the xmas time....not so good when you the only one not drinking!! I'm on the lokout for a dress too...I wore my sequin top over black shimmery leggings the other night, but not sure if I'll get away with it again in a months time!! Take care xx

only 3 christmas presents left for me to get yay. need to get photos off the people for these though without letting them know what its for. (im getting them photo cushions, we have one of ds and its fab) might start on wrapping ds's presents whilst he's at pre school tomorrow.

Have added myself back on the list. 20 week scan next week, will find out baby gender then, but 12 week private scan said 80% likelihood of a girl Will add for sure after 20 week.

Wow Bungo impressed that they had a pretty good idea at the 12 week scan!

Ds came out with a rash today so I took him to the GP as I was concerned it was german measles. Turns out it isn't measles but GP suspects it is swine flu. Trying to keep his temperature down but he doesn't actually seem that bad, better than he was yesterday which is a good sign.

Since becoming pregnant it has been one thing after another, the GP surgery will start charging us rent soon.

Starting to look astonishingly pregnant - bump has suddenly grown huge! That's the least of my worries though, we only have 5 months in which to agree on a boy's name for DS2 and DH and I have agreed on so few things in our lives together it's just not funny. Sigh...!

A question oh wise ones..

Went to MW appt and was told I have ketones - no sugar though. Told to eat more I know I am not drinking enough, so will work on this.

Anyone else experience of this???

Hi stinkypinky My friend had this and was told to eat more- which she happily did - but thinks it was because she ate her dinner so early and went to bed then her FMU was a good 12hrs after she had last eaten. I wouldn't worry about it but maybe eat things that keep you fuller longer like grains and pulses.

I won't be finding out the sex at my scan on Thurs as I LOVE surprises and don't mind either way. Change my mind regularly about what I think I'm having too. Planning on telling DD she's going to be a big sister after the scan. Really looking forward to that.

hi all well im going to have hetic week so will catch up soon ive got till saturday to pack up my house as we are movin i must be crazy just hope it goes smoothly, meant to be packing now but to busy on here ! oh well it will only be 2mins walk down to the hospital so one plus and another is its a 3bed .

stinkypinky i had ketones at big of pregnancy docs told me to try and eat and drink plenty not good when you have terrible morning sickness he told me ketones is sign of dehydration!

I think it is dehydration as I am eating plenty, and often. Sickness seems to have gone [tempting fate emoticon] so I am making up for lost time.

First girl so far! I'm 17 wks today, and I'm doing the quadruple test this week. How will I stand that awful two week wait for the results?

thedollshouse - im just like you, im catching every bug there is to catch... i have an awful sorethroat today...
i'm loading up on vitamine C and strepsil and im taking paracetamol... It doesnt help that DS has a nasty cough and i check on him all night long... im knackered!!
Drinking hot herbal tea too... I don't really like being pregnant!!! The best bit in my last pregnancy was when i lost the waters... I was so excited to be having a baby! but the whole nine months were a drag.... Oh well... 20 weeks tommorrow.... another 20 weeks to go....

Is anyone else being very emotional at the thoughts of babies? Whenever I see a baby or even a toddler, or I read about it, or see it on TV i got tears coming to my eyes...
DP says it is normal, but still it is so weird... Other mums in the tube or on the street probably think I'm one crazy woman starring at their small kids....

Also this morning, after dragging myself out of the bed where I was cuddling my DS, I thought maybe i should stop cuddling him and kissing him so often because he is going to feel "betrayed" or left out when this baby comes along.... I will have to split my kisses between the two of them.... At the moment i am all over him every minute he is awake!!!
When I think about #2, I know it is going to be the same, especially at the beginning when they are so small, smell so good, their skin so soft, and breatsfeeding... I just don't know how i am going to manage DS1..... Any ideas? Experiences of mums who already have two?

tostaky, your DS1 will manage you rather than the other way around! Your second will fit in with the routine you already have.

As far as cuddles go, when my first two were little (they were 14 months apart) I got down on the floor as often as I could between feeds to wrestle and cuddle and have as much contact as possible. Mind you, my eldest is mildly austistic and at that stage of his life certainly didn't seek affection. It had be forced on him!
