rene thats great news!

chegirlsgotheartburn · 07/01/2010 18:09

I am not going off till end of march. So I will be about 38 weeks.

I only work two short days a week and will have only been in post a year (to the day!) so didnt want to go off too early.

Heartburn has proper kicked in now. It tends to get worse the more pgs I have. DC4 was really high up all the way through so I had it terrible with him.

Nothing seems to fit me now. YOu would think I wouldve learnt by now. Things I thought would do all the way through are really uncomfy all of a sudden.

Moan moan whinge whinge

helenwombat everytime I think I've got my head round thingd I get another piece of info that totally freaks me out. I've stopped reading books now and am working on the theory I will deal with certain things IF I have to.

Morning everyone,

Happy new year!

Okay i don't know about anyone else but i am sooo fed up with the snow! The only good thing is dh had 2 snow days this week!

So after being completely adament (sp) about having a c-section i am now thinking maybe VBAC is the way forward! I just can't seem to make up my mind! I'll be having a scan at 37/38 weeks to see which way round baby is, so if he is breech then my decision has been made for a section but if not i have to decide whether or not to have a VBAC... Has anyone had a vbac?

dh and i decided yesterday to book a holiday to Mauritius for 10 nights in Feb! I am soo excited and ds can't wait... although not sure about putting on a bikini with my seemingly huge tummy!

Hope everyone has a good day!

Oooh RTuff am ! Dd's nursery was shut on Tuesday and we all went swimming in the afternoon, there was one other guy there doing lengths, and another man with his 2yo DS. He looked at me and said, Oh are you expecting a second? I said yes in April, it's not just Christmas pudding, and he said Oh thank goodness! As soon as he'd made the comment he'd worried he'd put his foot in it. I think it's pretty obvious I'm pg, specially in a swimsuit .

Neeko · 08/01/2010 21:43

Rene So pleased for you! I have my follow up scan on the 25th, so hope I get the same news.

Hi to everyone else. I'm really tired tnight but will hopefully post more over weekend.

Jennysbean · 09/01/2010 12:10

Hi, can I be a late joiner to this thread? I am due 10 April, I have a 2 year old DD already.
Feeling ok, just so shattered and feeling a bit rotten and guilty that I can't do more with my daughter. Poor child has a ratty mother
Anyway the baby is brilliant news and I am lookimg forward to having a newborn again....
Finishing work at end of Feb so hopefully will have a bit more energy then for my wee girl!
x

stinkypinky · 09/01/2010 12:13

You are very welcome Jennysbean. You are not alone in being a ratty mum.

lineky · 09/01/2010 16:19

I appear to have grown rapidly over the last week suddenly getting lots of comments about my bump I am gutted I can't go sledging though - no amount of begging with DH will get him to change his mind and let me. Still LOADS of snow here, it is getting a bit boring now.

ray81 · 09/01/2010 17:17

Hi can i be a late joiner too, think i may have posted on last thread but have avioded since, just being silly realy.

I am due 26th april but due to a medical condition i have may have baby anytime from 34 weeks so may only have 9 weeks left, now that is scary.
I already have a DD who is 7 8 in feb and we are having another girl.
Is anyone else very unorganised, i have nothing other then a few clothes at the moment and am starting to panic just a little that i am way behind, please someone reassure me that i have plenty of time left.

Has anyone chosen names as yet? we have picked a name for our little girl however the in thing seems to be to keep it to yourself until the baby is here, i am not like this and just tell wondering if anyone else is like that or are you keeping quite?

Anyway am at work so muct get on, it will be lovely to share experiences etc etc

pillia78 · 09/01/2010 19:16

Welcome back ray81 we have the pram sorted and have just bought a crib but not much apart from that but we should have most things from DS2.
jennysbean my DS2 is wondering why I am so reticent to pick him, bless him....
Has anyone got any good tips for dealing with a painful pelvis?? I have seen the Dr and waiting to be referred but I am in so much pain. I have been trying to walk everywhere and keep active but that is making it worse. I am sleeping with a pillow between my knees but any tips warmly welcomed!

PrincessTweetz · 09/01/2010 19:24

Hello every1!!!!!! Thanx 4 all my congrats...I seem to be flittin from baby websites to wedding planning websites lol...makes me wonder what I'm gonna do with my time
I'm glad I'm not the only one who can be a tad ratty....sometimes I could cry over it, although dp (or df now hehe) says I'm really not that bad n it's all in my head. I'm getting really tired now, n my back just really aches all the time, so I don't feel like I'm on dd's level n playing the way I should be.
Ray81 we've chose our name for our lil boy, he's gonna be called Jude..or rather is called Jude, dd does this really cute thing of calling him so I lift my top to show my belly, n she has a lil chat with him about what she's playing with...it's a great way of getting her to eat all her dinner too lol. Just not so sure whether she'll still be talking to my belly when he arrives hehe
Hope every1s takin lots of care in the snow xx

ReneRusso · 09/01/2010 23:09

My baby is currently known within the family as Cheryl, somewhat inspired by my DDs who are Cheryl Cole fans. And also to annoy Mil who thinks she's quite posh and is slightly horrified by the name Cheryl. But that won't be her real name. I'm currently thinking Olivia or Matilda.

tostaky · 10/01/2010 06:14

Pillia ive got to make an appointment with the hospital physio for pelvic ain too... it doesnt help that i carry DS, but i try not to do it too often.

rtuff i will be having a vbac too (well im waiting for the 38 wks scan to comfirm it is possible)

about names - we are thinking about Cosmo. It is quite difficult to find a name this time around for us though!

I have officially put too much on weight again... . just weighted myself and i have put on 16.8kg so far... ok - with xmas/holidays/nye etc it has been a bit difficult to eat healthily but i plan to start fresh on monday and will try really hard not to go over the 20kg mark for this baby. that and the fact that my bank account looks very very sad, i have extra incentive not to snack

rumpleteaser · 10/01/2010 12:37

I think me and DP have finally agreed on baby names (remember he is Bulgarian!) for a girl we may have Penka (Penny for short - after DPs mother), for a boy we may have Valentin.
I posted these on the baby names bit and the only reaction I got was that Penka sounds like Wanka.. nice.
Not confirmed yet and have not told any real life people yet, not sure why, I think I'm a lil scared of other peoples reactions tbh.

I dunno how much I'm supposed to weigh not been on scales for yrs til now, I am 80kg... is this massive? I'm about 5'4" and have always been 'curvy' with giant boobs..

ilovesprouts · 10/01/2010 12:43

bump

lineky · 10/01/2010 16:25

rumpleteaser I really like both those names
ilovesprouts bump to you too

flybynight · 10/01/2010 18:35

Rumpleteaser your names are lovely, particularly Valentin. I would avoid the baby names section at all costs. People there are vicious!

I'm thinking Morven for a girl and Magnus for a boy (we are Scottish ands all of the children have fairly scottish names). My husband isn't so sure, but he'll get there. He generally refuses me very little in the half hour after giving birth.

I didn't know you were allowed to put on 20kgs! Is that a guideline? I put on 7.7 last time (I was in Australia, where they weigh you every appointment but rarely test your wee ) and I panicking because I've put on 7 already. Last time I had a 2 yr old and a one yr old to chase though.

pillia78 · 10/01/2010 19:12

tostaky we should swap tips when we have both been referred! I might splash out and go and see my osteopath as he is great but not cheap...... I love the name Cosmo for a boy...
I LOVE the names Penny and Matilda for girls and if I was having a girl they would be top of my list!!i. I love Milo but DP is having none of it and DS1 said he would be bullied at school!!! We both like Elliot and would go nicely with the other two boys names, it is such a minefield!!

tostaky · 10/01/2010 19:27

flybynight you shouldnt put on 20kg! but that is going to be my own limit.
the recommended weight gain in France is between 12 and 15kg and ive blown that already! not sure about the guideline in the UK?

pillia i think it is going to be lots of pelvic exercises... not sure what an osteopath can do? but do let me know if it helps!

stinkypinky · 10/01/2010 20:48

Feeling quite good as only put on 4kg.

Thinking of Solomon. DD is Asha. Stuck for another girl name.
