Just popping in to say Happy Christmas to all on the April thread. I can't believe how far along we are now.

We're off to Italy for christmas tomorrow so please everyone send good travel vibes for Gatwick tomorrow! I'm trying not to stress.

Take care all

dani87 · 22/12/2009 15:08

hi thighsmadeofcheddar sending you good travel vibes hope you have a comfy journey! your so lucky to be getting away for xams! hope you have a Happy Christmas to

PrincessTweetz · 22/12/2009 19:58

Neeko, it was sooooooo worth the wait!! We had to queue for about an hour and half, with no pushchair uzI'm trying to get her used to walking round the shops without touching (a task in itself!!), and not so good when you have a bump and achy back, with an-on-the-verge-of-a-major-meltdown-toddler, but her lil face when we got past the magic forest and on the sleigh ride was just amazing!! She really thought we were being pulled by reindeer to get to Santa's house...she was so much more excited than Ithought shewould be at this age, I thought next year would be the magical one, but I really wish I could have bottled it all up so I could feel amazement any time I want! So worth it, I'm still smiling now!!
Dani Ebonie and Kacie are both lovely, my niece is called Ebony, so bonus points on that one lol x

rumpleteaser · 23/12/2009 10:23

I also can't believe I'll be 6 months pregnant on Sunday! It did seem more real when I couldn't reach to put wellies on this morning though..

dani i like those names - Kacie goes with Faye I think.
I am struggling big time with names! we still call bump 'fish baby' from 1st scan when it looked like a sardine.
thighsmadeofcheddar hope you have a fab time! I'm jealous! Good stress free travel vibes from me too.

Tomorrow I have to endure the Bulgarian Christmas tradition that is the Pig Killing.. at 8 o'clock in the MORNING!
Wish me luck!

Hope everyone has a lovely Christmas!

Just popping on quickly to wish you all a ver happy Christmas I hope you all have fun.

pillia78 · 23/12/2009 19:00

Happy Christmas all! I had an ante-natal apointment with the consultant yesterday and I asked him exactly how many weeks and days I am as I had lost count, so, he got out his I-phone and had an app for it??!! Modern technology is great but I found that a bit surreal!!!!

PrincessTweetz · 24/12/2009 08:20

I'm just popping on in the calm before the storm to wish you all a Merry Christmas as well....hope you all have as stress-free a day as you can have!!!
I had midwife yesterday and I have a home appointment booked for 6 Jan to discuss home birth plans!!!!! Yay!!!!!!! Looks like I really will be having one after all my not getting m hopes up just in case lol Have fun everyone...I'm off to be busy, busy, busy!!

rumpleteaser · 26/12/2009 10:57

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas day!
Pig killing wasn't as bad as it sounds but I don't think I'll be posting photos!!
Yesterday was busy visiting lots of different friends so ended up eating so much it actually hurt to burp and I feared I'd squashed my poor baby! He's wriggling round today though after enjoying a big lie in!

How's everyones boxing day? Anyone started January sales shoppint yet?
Everyone prepared for Minimal alcohol New yrs eve?!
Crikey it'll be wierd! (for me anyway!)

thedollshouse · 27/12/2009 10:47

Hi all, Hope everyone had a fab Christmas!

We had quite a sickly household, I'm just recovering from a sickness bug and flu (what a surprise, ill again!)

Can't believe how many boxes of chocolate people have bought us this year, we have enough to sink the titanic! Ds (5) had a lovely day he said to me "I don't want this day to ever end, its the best day of my life". So sweet. Can't believe this time next year we will all have 8 month olds!

nicnacinoonoo · 28/12/2009 09:50

hi, hope everyone had a lovely christmas. we had a great time, ds has loved it, been quite exhausting though.

had my midwife check last week and everything is fine, got my form to send off for £190 grant too

dani ous is going to be a Kacie, Kacie Brooke we think

as for new year, i doubt ill even be awake to see it in this year ha

Bettymum · 29/12/2009 09:17

Hi all,
I can't scroll up to read everyone's news as it keeps crashing my computer so just popping in to wish you all a happy new year, not long till April now!

Snowtiger · 29/12/2009 15:40

Hello ladies, haven't been on here for ages, but wishing you all a happy festive season!

We're a sickly lot too, DS1 spent last night throwing up so I'm onto the 6th load of washing and am very grateful that I have lots of radiators to dry things on as it's arsing down with rain here in the wilds of north Essex.

And I've just admitted to myself that I'm having braxton hicks contractions at 25 weeks. Can someone reassure me that this is normal and nothing to worry about? I don't remember having them until much later with DS1!!

I have to say, this is the first Christmas I've ever had sober and I'm astonished to say it was really rather good - no arguments, no obnoxious behaviour and no hangovers. This 'only 1 or 2 units once or twice a week' lark rules!! Either that or I'm just getting really old...

Hope you're all well ladies, and have a wonderful new year.

ilovesprouts · 29/12/2009 16:09

bump

dani87 · 29/12/2009 17:56

hey all hope you all had a good xmas! well dd loved it but been very tired since think its all the excitement well this is my 3rd year running with no drink on xmas and new year so kind of getting used to it now! hope you all have a brilliant new year and roll on april!

Mistymoo · 30/12/2009 09:51

Snowtiger just to reassure you. I've been having braxton hicks for a while now too. This is my 3rd pregnancy so I think we notice them sooner as we're more tuned in having been here before

pillia78 · 30/12/2009 12:29

Hey Snowtiger apparently it is normal from about 25 weeks and if it isn't your first you notice them more. I was doing some research into stretching pains the other day as have really been suffering with them and came across Braxton Hicks info!
