Hello all, hope I have copied the list correctly and not chopped anyone off?! Another boy for us and all looking good from the scan. We have decided not to tell anyone else the sex but thrilled we know it is a real bonding thing. Finishing work at end of December and can't wait but am really going to miss the daily interaction with my colleagues, silly I know! I am getting hip and back ache too so off to the Osteopath, they work wonders!!

I am fine with this. I am not fine with people being disapointed for me. I get the feeling they think a girl would make everything 'all right'.

I had my girl. She will always be my special girl. I love my boys.

I wouldve been excited to have another girl bit I think it may have been quite difficult.

Anyhoo - hope everyone is ok. My bump is hoooge! Very tearful but coping with all that.

hi. Just a quick message for those worried about birth. I've bought a Natal Hypnotherapy cd and find it's really helping.

Hi All,

I've booked to do a Hypnobirthing course in Feb. A friend did it with both her births and had relatively short easy births (1st one 8hrs with gas&air, 2nd one 4 hrs with no pain relief at all!!!) She said it really helped her relax about the whole birth experience in the run up to her due date, and she's convinced that it helped her have easier labours.

DS' birth took about 30hrs so really want to speed things up a bit this time to avoid the exhaustion I felt towards the end. Fingers crossed it works for me. DH is not so convinced by it, but has agreed to go along with it as it is me who has to squeeze the baby out not him (I think he's just moaning about the £270 the course will cost )

Congratulations on your boy chegirl! thedollshouse hope you're feeling better today and you didn't have any of your horrid dreams last night . I think it's normal to have these very anxious feelings, it's all the hormones. I was an absolute mess for a week after my amnio thinking I'd killed the baby, it's so much better now I can feel him jumping about. I get very anxious about DD too, DH took her somewhere in the car the other day when it was pouring with rain and I was convinced they were going to die on the motorway. It's completely irrational but it doesn't make it any easier. Big ((hugs)) to you.

thedollshouse i ve strange dreams sometimes too, maybe we r getting it out of our system while we sleep.

it's the thought that i'll forever be worried over my kid that worry me, my mum's like that, she always wants and gives the best for us kids, that she stresses herself, which stress me in return. i hope and pray i can be a more relaxed mum.

neeko have seen the hynotherapy CD on the NCT site, will probably get it. anything to make labour smoother is worth a try! dont think i'll go on the course tho, it's quite expensive. am also getting those post natal waist wrap, not entirely convinced that they work , but a small price to pay if they do.

pillia everyone's asking the sex of my baby so they can buy stuff! i hope i dont get loads of bright pink fluffy things, as i m not into them so much myself, how selfish am i .

chegirl how do u cope with all the kids, xmas time around your place must be wonderful! pros n cons about either sex anyway, and u'll love them anyhow.

Hi everybody

just got back from my 20 week scan and its a boy, so will now have 3 boys and 1 girl, poor old DD was hoping for a sister but I am sure she will be fine, she is very motherly towards her younger brother now. All else fine with scan, he was moving all over the place wasn't happy with being prodded by the scanner.

Oh dear DD just burst into tears when I told her she was having another brother.

What can I do have just taken her upstairs to her brothers who have given her a cuddle and said they love her.

Things are getting serious for us!!

DS has the flu and been very poorly and DP is home studying for an exam on saturday. It is hard for me to work from home so today we put in at nnursery and then got a phone call to come and pick him up... DP is not happy cuz he cant study and i dont know how to do with work.
Will try to work from home tomorrow but sometimes it is more difficult than other depending on what type of work im doing.. can't wait to go home and smouther him in kisses to make him feel better.

Other than that, i have a HUGE bump! Got my first midwife appointment on the 14th - can't wait!! and then it is xmas and then it is january and then i will be 30 weeks!! Time flies :-)))
I was playing with DS in his cot this morning and i felt bad about already thinking of moving him into a big boy's bed.... my little boy is no longer a baby but i dont want to push him to be a grown-up too fast either...

nicnac I totally understand where you are coming from. But as you had a cs first time aren't they obliged to offer you one again? Can't believe they would just say a blanket 'no' without discussing individual needs. They should take into account the mother's feelings over all this. You shouldn't have to go through the whole pregnancy feeling terrified of the birth. I am in a similar situation to you (although haven't had a cs). I had a 3/4th degree tear first time round and am convinced that an el/cs is the only way for me this time. I, like you, was really worried that they would say no but in fact they were really nice, and I am going back at 34 weeks to arrange a date. I am of course allowed to change my mind at any time so it has left me in a situation where I feel completely at ease and not scared atall. I really hope your appointment goes well too, and you'll have to let us know what they say, good luck .

Hope everyone's ill DC's get better soon - mine is home from nursery with a cough/cold bug, am having a big dose of sleep deprivation this week because of it - said to someone how tired I was with DD ill and up all night and they said 'well wait until you have two and they both get ill!' with a sort of 'haha you just wait if you think this is bad' look on their face. Am scared....how does everyone do it!??

Good luck for your appointment nicnacinoonoo. My advice is to write down what you want to say because it's so hard to remember everything after you have been waiting around and you're feeling nervous.

Hi everyone. Haven't been on for AGES! Hope everyone is doing ok.

Had my 20 week scan yesterday and everything seems fine. Didn't find out sex - thought I'd cave when she asked but if anything I was more certain than ever that I didn't want to know.

My belly seems to have popped out the last couple of weeks - couldn't even tell I was pregnant a fortnight ago and then someone offered me a seat on the Metro the other day!
Maybe they just thought I looked knackered .

Hey there. I was finally called for my swine flu vaccine this week and when I got there they wouldn't give me it because I had a bit of a tickly cough. Fair enough, I thought.

The tickly cough has now developed into actual swine flu and I am coughing until I vomit. It's crap being ill with three children in your sole care. I've decided against taking Relenza though. It only shortens symptoms by a couple of days and, other than being pregnant, I'm pretty healthy (touch wood).

Anyway, sympathy gratefully received as my husband is away. Of course.

Wow, flybynight that sounds really rough. You have my complete sympathy. 3 kids while ill and pregnant!

flybynight that sounds awful. I had flu and sickness bug a few weeks ago and couldn't look after myself - never mind 3 little ones! You have my admiration, as well as heartfelt sympathy. Hope you feel better soon.

had my consultant appointment today and i go back at 36 weeks to get my cs booked. the consultant gave me the choice right away and i didnt have to say anything about how much i want it or why he just said it was my choice.
the midwife was obviously talking out of her arse when she told me you didnt get that choice anymore, im really angry at her for making me worry about it the whole first half of my pregnancy. im so relieved that it was so easy and its all sorted now though. really happy about it.
he's written on my notes cs at 39 weeks so my date will probably change but ill wait till i know the definite date to change the list.

hope everyone elses appointments and scans go well and thanks for the support. im so happy now!

That's great news nic. I've just been catching up on what's going on with everyone as haven't been on for ages until today. There appear to many midwives out there who would do well to shut their arses and give their mouths a chance - mine also being one of them! Apparently there are brilliant ones too, I just haven't met them .

hello ladies, well it has been a bit of a day for me!! I hadn't felt mini-hoops move since 9pm last night and that was at midday today, so I phoned my midwife who said right get yourself in and we'll have a little listen in, so went feeling very worried but he was in there and hiding, anyway just coming out of the hospital and twisted to pick my keys up and pulled a muscle in my back!! So took myself to the docs and he has signed me off work for a bloody week, it never rains it pours............

And to top the lot off, doc said he misdiagnosed me a few weeks ago, when I went in complaining of feeling like rubbish, he didn't check my blood results properly and I have needed iron tablets for nearly 3 weeks!!! I was told to deal with the tiredness cause it's all part and parcel of pregnancy, so have struggled on, hopefully now I should start feeling better......

Anyway enough about me, needed a bit of a rant....

How is everyone else?
