Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Went to posh reataurant called The Dining Room which is owned by Tony Tobin. He's a (minor) sleb chef that is sometimes on tv and has recently been on Saturday Kitchen and was part of the Chefs dance group on Comic Relief earlier this year.

Anyway I had my first Bacardi and coke in about 18 months and we shared a bottle of champagne and had a lovely 3 course meal. At about 11.45 we finally left the restaurant. I'd have been happy to go home at that point tbh but we went on to a bar/club place. It was then that I started to feel really guilty about being out so late / early. A drink would probably have helped but I knew there was a chance I'd end up with O in bed at some point so I had a lemonade whilst the others had a round od shots and more drinks.

Silly thing is that now I've been on a full night out, I think I'd enjoy it even more another time! Do you think that argument will wash with DH?

Anyway, that was a v long answer!! I'll get back to my Eastenders catch up now!

essenceofSES · 14/11/2009 14:39

As for XFactor... I'm really starting to favour Olly or Jamie.

cantmummyhaveabreak · 14/11/2009 14:47

Xfactor- i'm swayed towards olly too- he's got the funky moves- DH wishes he could dance like him so i'd get flushed in the same way haha!!

Jamie- yuk- no thanks- he can only shout a song, not sing it- i dont like it at all!! However- i find that whenever i hate a performance all the judges love it!!

Ses- i had an evening out at a friends house about 3 weeks ago- i just loved it- finally being alone for the first time in over a year!! DD2 kept DH frustrated though as she wouldn't take a bottle, so i'm gonna get her trained on taking a bottle or sippy cup of milk and have her in training to sleep through too- which now we're on day 6??? and she's not had a feed between the hours of 10pm and 6.30am each night... i'm going to give her another week of that and start bringing her dream feed earlier and earlier over a week and then take it out all together so she's going from 7am till morning!!

essenceofSES · 14/11/2009 14:57

Cant - good going on the sleep training.

Hope the weather isn't ruining Kay's trip ti London.

Diege · 14/11/2009 15:00

You'll soon get into the swing of things SES, sounds a great night out!
CANT,yes Olly a v.good dancer. I do think he'll win it,seems quite a 'safe' choice. I still like Danyl and Jamie too (though agree he still has that pub singer thing going on - just waiting for him to thrust mic into audience). Have seen that the Labour party website have a photo of Jedward with the faces of George Osbourne abd David Cameron superimposed, and the words 'You won't like it if they win!!' underneath - made me laugh

cantmummyhaveabreak · 14/11/2009 15:06

yeah- she's doing really well with it- i just think we were both ready for some better sleep!! I do wish i'd had the guts to do it sooner though!!

I'm hoping that now she's on foods she'll be easier to leave with DH... so i may even go away for a night and leave him with her!! haha!!

tinkisthrillerthrillernight · 14/11/2009 15:45

afternon

good what weather chunking is a good description.
dh took dd1 back to clarks with her trainers and boots said she has 2 more weeks in them they i will be buying new ones
enjoyed party with bracken drove on motorway car was swaying
just recieved early learning bits good

Moosy · 14/11/2009 15:58

I can't stand Jamie! I don't know what it is, but there's something about him that really makes my skin crawl every time I see him! I think he's too feminine looking and his clothes don't fit properly (and what's with the stupid scarf/tail thing), and don't even get me started on his hair!

I think Olly might win too, he's been consistently good every week.

We went out for a meal with friends last night and we've all had haircuts today, I've epilated my legs and feel much nicer and 'ready' now. I even wrapped up some Christmas presents this morning!

Glad you had a good night out Ses, don't feel guilty!

Tink, DD1 has those shoes too, they're good for this weather.

Glad DD2's doing well with the sleeping Can't, have you caught up on your sleep now too?

cantmummyhaveabreak · 14/11/2009 16:10

Moosy- how are things.... oh talking of it i dont think i've added to your syndicate!! Getting all excited? As for ready- i had a massive panic the day my waters broke and ended up shaving my bikini line before we went to the hospital!! little did i know she was going to be 5 days later and DH would forget to bring my razor to the hospital for me!!!

I dont think i have caught up yet.... missing 3-4hrs sleep per night for the last 8mths before her sleeping throguh deserves at least 2 days unbroken sleep but i'm enjoying getting more- just not enjoying waking up as much...

Diege · 14/11/2009 16:27

Hi MOOS! Yes, agree about the scarf thing with Jamie, trying Far Too Hard to be cool and 'current', whatever that means
DD2 back from sleepover and a nightmare - VERY tired and letting us all know about it. Wonder if this is what it'll be like when they're teenagers .

tinkisthrillerthrillernight · 14/11/2009 16:27

glad u said that moosy. her last ones got wrecked in the rain
i like jamie and dont like olly

Diege · 14/11/2009 16:41

Yes, would rather Jamie's afro that Olly's Legohead.

cantmummyhaveabreak · 14/11/2009 16:45

Sorry but Jamies afro looks like it hasn't been washed in anything other than chip fat in years!! I'd be utterly revolted if i woke up with him on my arm- in fact i'd rather gnaw my arm off!! haha!!

Diege · 14/11/2009 16:59

Ahh but could you even bear to touch Olly's lacquered 'do'

Moosy · 14/11/2009 17:04

I think the colour of his afro unnerves me too, it just looks manky. Olly might have a lego head () but Jamie's just not manly enough, he looks a bit limp!

cantmummyhaveabreak · 14/11/2009 17:13

At least being a hairdresser i could sort Olly's hair- i'd be too scared to get close to jamies for what might be living in it!!

cantmummyhaveabreak · 14/11/2009 17:13

going on the subject of small animals- not suggesting he has lice

GruffaloSoldier · 14/11/2009 17:18

Erm are my posts not showing up or something?

I posted twice yesterday and was completely ignored!

Or have I said something I shouldn't have ??

Sorry I know its not always possible to mention everyone one but posted twice during an active conversation and was like it was completely overlooked!

Probably just being over sensitive- as you were!

cantmummyhaveabreak · 14/11/2009 17:20

sorry gruff- i looked at the link for shoes- must have forgotten to say hi!!

HI GRUFF

GruffaloSoldier · 14/11/2009 17:24

Ahhh I have a friend phew I was worried there!

cantmummyhaveabreak · 14/11/2009 17:26

i think you just posted too mid- convo and everyone forgot they'd read your post well i think thats what happened with me anyhow!!

GruffaloSoldier · 14/11/2009 17:30

Thanks Cant, much appreciated! Think I am just very sensitive at the mo!!

While on the subject of Jamie, I do not like how he always puts his hands up in the air at the end of a performance. its like, get a new move dude!

Haha, Moos colour is dodgy!

and double LOL at lego head!

I cannot wait til Xfactor - DH at work so once DS in bed = uninterupted viewing!

Diege · 14/11/2009 18:11

Sorry GRUFF!! I also looked at the shoe link and actually bought some and then forgot in my excitement to return to the convo!

GruffaloSoldier · 14/11/2009 18:15

Thats ok Diege I forgive you LOL! I feel very stupid now!

Great that you bought some!which ones did you go for?

essenceofSES · 14/11/2009 18:33

Hello!

I agree re Olly = Lego head but I still think he's the best of an average lot.
Whoever made the point about waking up next to Jamie's hair, err yes - yuk!

Gruff - hope your Mum's immune system picks up. Don't worry about missed posts. I often think I could be a phantom threadkiller!

Hoping O will sleep until after XFactor. He's only slept for an hour during the day. He's just gone off. DH is cooking
