GruffaloSoldier · 14/11/2009 19:03

Hi ses,

thanks!

yeah Olly def has talent and I think he is a likeable guy. Def has what it takes too win.Although I will be gutted if any of Simons lot wins after last week!

GC just going down (fingers crossed)so going to chuck a pizza in the oven in a bit and watch it over x factor. Luxury!

wonder if the ratings are going to be more or less tonight?? DH reckons they'll go up, despite the FB boycott!

Diege · 14/11/2009 21:16

Got the sand ones with rabbit and carrot in the end GRUFF, though was spoiled form choice . Loving x-factor (Joe's my fave so far)! Jamie's hair much improved!

Diege · 14/11/2009 21:45

Arghh, went to vote for Joe and ended up viting for Lloyd by accident (weakest tonight I thought) so tried again and voted for leggohead by accident. So then had to vote twice for Joe to even things up Also thought Danyl was superb and strangely liked the twins too. I'm a massive Queen fan and while they all did a pretty good job I think their performances show what a great vocal range Fredddie actually had! Off to watch ITV2 now.
Hope the LOs allowed you some x-factor time SES and GRUFF

essenceofSES · 14/11/2009 21:50

Diege - all that voting...are you trying to get Simon's approval??!!

Ok, MHO of tonight...

Best vocal - Joe
Best overall performance - Olly and Stacey
Biggest disappointment - Jamie and Danyl
Bottom 2 - Lloyd and Jedward
Should go - Lloyd

Louis' rule book has now been scripted in.
Joe is definitely destined for the West End.

Owen didn't properly settle until 7.30 but has been fine throughout XFactor 2.5hrs and counting atm...

Diege · 14/11/2009 22:34

Hi SES! Pretty much agree with your judging, though did like Danyl. Think Jamie may be in bottom 2, though def think Lloyd will/should go.
Right, up to do the dream feed then bed. DD2's birthday tomorrow so it will be an early start

GruffaloSoldier · 14/11/2009 22:52

Hello!

OH my I watched X factor (GC in bed at 6.45pm and havent heard a peep out of him hooray!) and then Xtra factor ( i love that too!)

I liked Stacey best and then Joe

I found Olly and Jamie a bit boring this week, not bad just same old stuff - which is good but just werent holding my attention.

Jedward did - but for all the wrong reasons.Ha no seriously I thought the vanilla ice bit was genius but I still sing that now

Lloyd - hmmm, forgettable TBH bless him but all those hormonal teenagers love him so fair play to him!

Great shoes choice Diege, gorgeous, I bet you'd get some nice clothes to match from H&M

GruffaloSoldier · 14/11/2009 22:53

off to wash up before dh home

Kayzr · 15/11/2009 07:48

Morning,

London was brilliant, but a bit windy and a bit wet!!

I didn't watch X Factor as it is a fixed pile of rubbish!!

Hope everyone is ok.

Diege · 15/11/2009 08:35

Morning! Glad London was good KAYZ. Where did you go? You missed a good x-factor
GRUFF, yes think Lloyd may well stay in longer than he should due to teen factor. May vote for Joe again tonight as not sure who his natural fan base would be (theatre lovies? ) Glad you like my shoe choice - did debate over the red puppy ones and the navy stars too. Did you buy some? I have H&M covered
Up early with dd2 birthday, 7 today . Have playbarn party this afternoon. The Bratz doll laptop went down very well and is actually not at all as you'd imagine!
Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend

Kayzr · 15/11/2009 08:37

Nowhere really. I don't feel like I have really been in London as we were just in Fulham and Earls Court. Didn't see Big Ben or anything. So it is a bit wierd.

GruffaloSoldier · 15/11/2009 19:02

Love the pic Cant! Very cute.

Moosy! not long at all now. hope you're enjoying the last weeks of pregnancy.

Hi Tink! so you watching x factor tonight??

Hi Diege, happy birthday DD2 hope she had a lovely day.

Yeah I have the tan shoes with the toggle in the urban rock section of that website. My mum bought them for GC He likes wearing them. ie he doesn't kick them off! Unlike his big woollen socks from H&M that I LOVE and he kicked one off in Tesco and lost it this morning

Hi Kayz, glad you had a good time. My sister lives in Kensington, a few streets away from Chelsea football ground! Tis an hour away from where I live too

1 HOUR TO GO TO X FACTOR

cantmummyhaveabreak · 15/11/2009 21:18

is it bad that i'm glad Jamie went?.....

Starshinetiger · 15/11/2009 21:37

Flying post - been at Inlaws this weekend. DD and DS been gorgeous today
DD been chewing and dribbling for months, took her two weeks to cut her two bottom teeth and then she has just popped one top one through in a day (yay!).
Her appetite for solid food has upped in last couple of days though, so maybe the teething troubles were causing her to be off food. Sleep is getting there too - she went off in her cot tonight after a good feed. Has been going 4-5 hours between feeds and I am giving her loads of praise

Gruff - sorry I didn't have time to post the other night, but did look at your link of shoes and love them - just trying to decide which ones to get DD, but thinking maybe the booties? Also seen some booties in Clarks though but the ones on your link are cheaper, so they are winning. Just need to get her feet measured for sizing, as think she is going to be like DS and have longer than average feet for her age.

Think it would have been right for either Jamie or Lloyd to go tonight - would put them (and obviously Jedward) as the weakest of the bunch. Am sad Lucie has gone. Did not vote this week (on principle). Really rate Olly and would be happy for him to win. Like Joe and Stacey too and have voted for Danyl before - he's local boy for us.

Right, DH just in from snooker, so off for some us time.

Diege - hope DD2 enjoyed her bday.

Moosy · 15/11/2009 21:44

Things are ok thanks Gruff, a bit uncomfortable but actually not too bad really

I'm glad Jamie's gone. I think he's better than Lloyd but I really didn't like him.

Sparklytwinkletoes · 15/11/2009 22:12

Hi guys, sorry to rush but have already tried posting once tonight (also in a hurry) but it didn't seem to work...

Can anyone tell me when its 'safe' (as in unlikely to cause problems with BF) to introduce bottles to DS2? I can't remember when I did it with DS1 but don't think it was this early (4 weeks on tues). I only want to do it to be able to give him his gaviscon, although I'm not really sure he still needs it....

He was kind of diagnosed with reflux as he had started projectile vomiting after breastfeeds, but not all feeds, but it seems to be calming down now and not really causing a problem....

He's doing really well in terms of weight gain, his red book has the new BF growth charts in and he's on the 75th centile according to them. I really must dig out DS1's book and compare his weight on the BF chart as he was always around the 25th. DS2 does seem like a chunkier monkey than DS1 though.

Tomorrow will be my first day alone with DS2, DS1 is still in nursery, we've got him going until I can drive again, although I'm hoping that will be soon.

The CS, despite being an emergency, went fantastically well and has been a totally different experience to first time around. My recovery has been so quick its unbelieveable. I did have an infection last time though and I wonder if perhaps that made me feel far worse than I gave credit for. I guess there's also the element of having to be better, for DS2 to get between wards at the hospital and for DS1, to give him the cuddles and playtime that he really needed after mum and dad disappeared unexpectedly for a week.

I'd best scoot for now, as I've got a few last jobs I want to do whilst DS2 is a) asleep and b) with DH.

Hope to be on more often now that all the visitors have actually gone - if anyone can do a round up for me, I'd really appreciate it?

tinkisthrillerthrillernight · 16/11/2009 09:45

hi

moosy - have you found brown ankle boots a problem with sole? - have just read bad reviews on clarks website

saw xfactor i like lloyd

anyone watch jungle gino is yum not sure about big spiders!!!

cantmummyhaveabreak · 16/11/2009 10:01

STT- i think if it's only for gaviscon then a bottle would be fine now... i'm sure DD2 was about 5 wks when i was made to give those few bottles and it never affected her latch- however, maybe i should ahve continued with the odd bottle as now she refuses to taek one which is tricky for me to leave her at all!!

I'd had a couple of glasses of wine when i posted last night... I think Lloyd is too cute, so am glad Jamie went. I dont think Lloyd will win by any means, but think he's better than jamie myself... or maybe i just dislike Jamie because of the 'fro'...

Diege · 16/11/2009 10:13

Morning! Good to hear from you STT, some good advice there from CANT re: bottles. Think it's fine around now, esp if just using for meds. With dd1 I really wished I'd introduced the idea of a bottle earlier as she struggled at nursery with any sort of bottle and they ended up spoon feeding her milk that took ages.
Not esp bothered that Jamie went; he sounded more like a pub singer as the weeks went on. Did think he had a better voice than Lloyd who I think it struggling a bit. Get him in a boyband and he'll be great!
TINKS, yes watching I'm a Celebrity here. Agree, Gino rather easy on the eye
Hi MOOS, glad you're feeling ok - I can;t believe how quikly your pregnancy is going!
DD2's party went well yesterday, and ds is enjoying playing with the shiny wrapping paper! He also started rolling over yesterday onto his tummy and then getting very cross. Looks like a seal flapping his arms behind him
Hope everyone is ok - will let you know if I hear any news about the house

cantmummyhaveabreak · 16/11/2009 10:26

Tink & Diege- have also been watching IAC- gino has always been a soft spot for me... not so much the looks, more his voice... if i close my eye's i could just imagine him whispering sweet nothings in that sexy Italian voice of his!! I'm already gunning for Stuart to win- love him in Hollyoaks, can't wait to see his body!! haha!! ..... oh no- the wagon is bringing out my maneater side!! haha!!

Talking of men- i got pipped at this morning- i used to hate it when i was younger and slimmer... however, now i'm a mummy to 3DC's... and have just started a really good weight-loss i'm quite chuffed that i've still 'got it' enough to deserve a pipping- even if it was from some sleazy builder-type-men!! On the weight front- i'm now starting a diet aswell as the wii-fitting, i eat fruit for breakfast, a sandwich and then fruit for lunch, then tea with fruit for desert... i'm starting to see the difference in my waistline too!!

Diege · 16/11/2009 10:40

Yes also likinbg Stuart CANT though have no idea who he is . Long gonbe are the days where Sundays would be made up of lazy lie ins, holyoaks omnibus and the Sunday Times Style section...Agree to about whistles ; I used to be very offended, but now I'm offended if I walk past and they don't give me a second glance I used to get a few whistles when I was pregnant strangely enough but sadly no more!
Your diet sounds very inspiring. I must get back on mine, have been very bad with all the house stress. Things I've got back into are now getting tight though so am starting properly today. I think at 39 you're at a crossroad, you can join the middle age mummy brigade (slightly too short bootcut jeans, boden blouses, furry gilets etc etc) or fight it out. Feel more topshop than boden at the moment, but it's touch and go

cantmummyhaveabreak · 16/11/2009 11:00

Diege- Stuart played Russ... left a couple of months ago tho ... as for diet- i've started a weight loss thread- join and we can be diet buddies!!
