Kayzr · 13/11/2009 09:28

The thread in chat is not quite as nice about her. I think she is loony!! But apparently she and the drs thought only 1 egg would implant.

Yeah- just read the AIBU thread about the show and seem pretty well recieved- i mean if i'd been pregnant with 8 i can't say i'd have done the same thing as her, but i think people just want to hound her for it- just because it's not the 'norm'... anyway- off to watch it and do some wii-fit- hopefully i've not gained weight as i'm doing really well again, have so far lost around a stone in total- back in nice tight size 14 jeans again... and some size 12 tops & dresses!! Can't wait to be at what i intend to get down to!!

IDOBisamummy · 13/11/2009 10:28

Morning all,

had another good night with DD last night . I took her up to bed at 9, she had a long feed then went straight to sleep until 2.15 then fed again and slept till 5.30. Unfortunately she had problems latching on then so I had to switch the lamp on and then she needed changed and after all that she decided it was time to get up. I'm certainly not complaining though - what a little angel . We are going to my parents this weekend and when we get back we might try a proper nighttime routine - bath at 7.30pm and into bed. She is such a 'routine' baby - she has been so much happier since I went back to feeding every 3 hours (usually have to wake her) and making sure she goes down for a nap for 1-1.5 hrs before her feeds.

I want to try expressing and freezing some milk so we can try DD with a bottle sometime - does anyone have any tips? When is a good time to try - just after a feed (on the side I didn't feed from)? I don't want to mess up my supply. I asked the hv but she just said express when it suits you - not hugely helpful!

Can't - congratulations on all that weight loss! I am saving for a wii and fit board.

Diege - your buyers are soooooo annoying. I hope you get an answer soon.

Kay - enjoy London and I hope you manage a lie in.

Star - wow! I can't believe she is pulling herself up already. She obviously really wants those boots . The time has gone really fast hasn't it - it doesn't seem that long since I was reading your birth announcement.

Right, time to wake DD up for her next feed.

tinkisthrillerthrillernight · 13/11/2009 10:37

morning - diege glad some of the package worked

idob - sounds great
kay - have a great one
hi - stt

went into town got brackens feet measured a 1.5f nearly a 2f already.
will prob get her some prewalker shoes in next.
dd1 had some cruising shoes they are in a 2f so may use them to keep her feet warm

Diege · 13/11/2009 11:01

Good idea TINKS, often think that the early shoes are good just to keep their little feet warm. Am also going to start putting tights under ds's trousers as his little legs were freezing the other day, even with a cosy toes plus blanket.
IDOB sounds like you're doing brilliantly and that you have a little one that thrives on routine. A few years ago our health authority promoted the routine thing from birth as they found that 'babies didn't know where they were' with the on-demand thing, but then went back to on demand a few years later. I suppose the moral of the story is to go with what best suits your own baby, but they do like their 'guidelines' do the NHS Hope you have a great weekend
Have just ordered ds some new dungarees from mini-boden as the 3-6 mths are very small now. Am getting good resale on e-bay though - not many people selling this seasons boden just yet I suppose!

tinkisthrillerthrillernight · 13/11/2009 12:27

Still no news about house..have resorted to e-mailing dh about updates as his heart sinks everytime it's me on the phone and not someone from the EAs

IDOBisamummy · 13/11/2009 14:52

Silly question guys, DD has suddenly developed lots of small spots and whiteheads over her cheeks and chin after having lovely clear skin. DP rudely suggested I might have forgotten to wash her face for a week . Is it normal to get spots now and do I need to do anything other than keep washing with water (or babywipes ) morning and night? Strangely they all appeared just after I started taking the mini pill.

Tink those shoes are lovely. Hope you and Diege survive the parties.

cantmummyhaveabreak · 13/11/2009 15:55

IDOB- they can develop them at any point really. I'd say you dont really need to do anything other than what you normally do to keep her clean. DD2 developed them at around 3mths old, i honestly can't remember noticing them dissapear, but she hasn't got them any more!!

tinkisthrillerthrillernight · 13/11/2009 15:59

bracken had them really bad when little think it is to do with your hormones they do clear up

GruffaloSoldier · 13/11/2009 16:00

Afternoon,

Diege - I really hope you get some good news soon. Its just not fair

Kayz - Have a great day in London

Star - hope you have better luck with DD tonight!

Ses - great that DH and DS got on ok without you

Tink - shoes are lovely!

IDOB - They could be millia or could be baby acne. ABove all dont put anything but water on whatever it is and dry carefully and if its still their monday check it with your HV, from what I know millia is there from birth so probably not that. GC had baby acne from about 6 weeks and its perfectly normal and goes away by itself. Hope you get it sorted, you can google both these terms in mages to compare HTH

Hi Cant - anyone else I missed!?

I did see Octomum last night...I think I better keep my opinions to myself...ahem.

I have some little shoes for GC that my mum bought him, they are soft leather, really nice with a toggle at the front. I cant remember the make now, they are designer though. He is cruising a bit but mainly comes crashing down. Is pulling himself up constantly though. he is pulling himself up on my back as I type. Its so hard to keep him out of mischief!

I cannnot believe he is 7 months on Sunday!

My mum didnt have chemo yesterday as her immune system was too low. Hopefully it will be back up by next week.

Diege · 13/11/2009 16:02

IDOB, don;t worry, perfectly normal for this to happen around now. I think it's when the newborn skin starts to 'wake up' - I've always had what I call the stage when their faces 'get messy' withg all 4, soon clears u p. Doubt it's linked to mini pill as don;t think the chemicals with this are absorbed into the milk as opposed to combined pill? (may be wrong there).
TINK, I know, anxious times following the depatch of a parcel . I was very impressed with Fat Face, ordered 3pm yesterday and arrived 7am this morning Hope the parties go well for you!

tinkisthrillerthrillernight · 13/11/2009 16:40

Diege · 13/11/2009 17:09

Really like those they have in stock TINKS LOL at you outside shop at 9am
Well have had call from dh saying he's spoken to EA boss who is 99.9999% sure that the buyers will exchange in the next few days. I'll believe it when I see it though...
Apparently they are now obsessing over how 'bad' their solicitors have been but as long as it's not us they're focusing on I don;t care! Obviously a couple
with a tad too much time to think...
DD2 at sleepover...feels really odd without nher is she is very much the chatterbox Have ordered Dominoes in (buy one get one free)so no tea to cook any way. BTW anyone else watching Collision this week? Think it's really good and looking forward to the final episode tonight

www.clarks.co.uk/find/Department-is-girls/EndUses-is-age22d4/product-is-20333436

Diege · 14/11/2009 10:45

Morning! Shoes are nice TINKS and should be good for the colder weather too
Nothing much planned for today - need to go to post office but the sky looks very ominous. migraine also starting, no doubt linked to af (week early)which i blame on the house stress!!!

cantmummyhaveabreak · 14/11/2009 10:52

Oh Diege- no luck with AF's on the wagon recently eh!! I'm going to get on the mini pill and hope it makes my cycle more structured again. Last cycle was 44 days, one before 38 days... have alwasy been a 28day-er till these last 2... so hope the mini pill will regulate me, but not using as contraceptive as concieved DD on the mini pill!!

Diege · 14/11/2009 12:44

Hi CANT! I know, good job we're not all ttc-ing eh, would be driving us crazy . My cycle is normally 28/29 days so this one about 5 days early, def stress-related I think. Hope mini-pill works for you - know what you mean about not using it as contraception

Throwing it down here so will probbaly hole up for the rest of the day!

cantmummyhaveabreak · 14/11/2009 12:51

It's chucking it down (or chunking it down- as DS says) here too. Miserable- and seem to just be sitting chatting on here & fb... have done some washing, some drying (can't face the folding & ironing yet) done DS's homework, read a book with him... sorted lunch out- what more can be asked of me

essenceofSES · 14/11/2009 14:04

Hi! Definitely a dayfor not doing much and staying in. "Chunking" it down here too.
Cant - I like "chunking". Maybe another word for the wagon dictionary?!

Feigning being bright & breezy here in the hope I will perk up! Didn't get in til 2am DH was asleep sat up in bed with O on his front. Had a great time although felt a bit emotional - first of all missing O and then feeling guilty. How stupid am I??!

Have discovered that O is much more keen on bread, toast or bread sticks with Philadelphia than veg. Just tried sitting him in his Bumbo to see whether that helps his sitting more than his highchair but he still slumped to one side. I did take a couple of cut piccies though which I may put on FB later.

Diege - sorry for early AF. Hope migraine hasn't developed.

Diege · 14/11/2009 14:21

Hi SES! Still chunking it down here too Where did you go on your night out? Migraine seems to have tapered off with the help of good ole cocodamol Tis good stuff isn't?
Dare I mention X-factor ?? Looking forward to it tonight though promise I won't go anywhere near my phone
