Evening all,

Another using the natural contraception method here DIEGE, my periods are like clockwork though so I think that helps.

Also VERY excited for X factor as usual - its actually the only thing I watch on telly at the mo as I have gone off everything else and prefer to do other things on weekday eves now, like read etc.

Exciting about STT and DS2 coming home.

Sorry about KNUFS MOOSY, I bet you have had e-KNUF now

All ok here GC started waving this week which was very cute.

LAPTOP IS DRIVING ME INSANE

Diege · 25/10/2009 07:41

Morning! Feeling bleughhh after a very early start, not even taking into account the hour going back...can't belive it's still 7.30
Good to hear from you GRUFF - agree that yes natural methods imo are pretty fail safe if you stick to them rigourously and have regular periods. I normally only vary a day or 2 in my cycle (though not great at the moment) so it's a method that has really suited us in the past. Obviously if having another baby was totally not feasible we would probably look at more permanent methods, but I do like the idea of a no. 5 at some point . Whether my ageing body will oblige is another thing . Little gruff waving sounds very cute!
Taking older 2 to see 'Up' today. Was thinking about including dd3 as well but don't think she's got the staying power to sit through. She's nearly 4 but I've always found this an odd age for doing older things. They're almost there but (for mine at least) a long film is just a little too long if you expect silenece and a non-wriggly child at least some of the time!
Think migraine is finally going, just left with that groggy dull headache...Must try and distract ds from napping - this hour business is a killer for gf! At moment I'm moving things back half an hour but no way will he wait another hour for his nap!
Hope everyone is well and that the hour business hasn't been too bad!

tinkisthrillerthrillernight · 25/10/2009 10:40

going to give implant another month or so and keep a diary of how periods r.

Diege · 26/10/2009 08:31

Morning! First day of half term and already wiped out financially after the cinema yesterday! Can't believe it cost nearly £30 for the 3 of us, heaven forbid that the 6 of us ever go! 'Up' was good though, well worth seeing and the dds loved the 3-d effects. Back into town today to get dd1 a long-promised book.
Hopefully still on to move first week Nov, although our buyers are playing silly buggers about wanting to secure planning permission to do alterations before it all goes through - wouldn't you have thought they might have considered this months ago?? . Dh really stressed about it all, but I'm trying to play the glass half full role. Hopefully we'll know what's going on in the next few days.
Hope everyone is ok!

Moosy · 26/10/2009 17:24

Wow it's quiet on here these days!

Been having some funny feelings today, almost like contractions but not quite - more like low down sharp aches that come in waves, not BH, just strange hurtiness

Diege · 27/10/2009 08:58

Morning! Sounds like things are pregressing MOOS! Also had similar pains with dds as you describe, though not with ds - maybe due to him not engaging? (ever!)
TINKS, sounds like good shopping there! Hope you got some rest and had a peaceful night
Just started my xmas shopping, early for me. Have been on bombayduck website and got stuff for mum, niece and also bits for dd3s new bedroom. If you enter SPOOKY in code box at checkout you get 20% off too Just in case anyone's interested
Need to go back to town today to take some bits back to topshop and have promised dds trip to Scoop. It's soooo quiet here at the moment!

GHOSTLYPRessenceofSES · 27/10/2009 09:18

Morning!

Got back late last night. O doesn't ever want to see his car seat again after another 12hr+ journey.
Had a great time despite O having a bug - violent projectile vomiting and nasty nappies. It's nearly cleared up now. Was worst on Fri & Sat.
He loved meeting his huge Irish family.

Moos - maybe we should start your syndicate??!

Diege - I've never come across that website. Will have to take a look.

Diege · 27/10/2009 09:34

Hi SES! Sounds like you had a great time. I always think of Maria's family off Corrie when you talk of your family in Ireland - hopefully not as smothering Apologies if you have no idea what I'm talking about
Yes, take a peek at bombayduck Some really gorgeous vintagy things and quite good prices too (in sale).

Dress sounds lovely.

Only Christmas shopping I've done is a couple of little bits for DH and 2 presents for friends' DC. Planning a trip to Bluewater with NCT girls next week though..!

Diege · 27/10/2009 10:27

oh i was only sending a link and managed to persuade someone to buy ooopsssss

cantmummyhaveabreak · 27/10/2009 11:12

Morning- been bad here- both DD's very ill since friday evening!! DD1 is seeming much better today, but DD2 is still failry unwell. Just a really bad cough and snotty nose. Have been giving cough medicine and seems to ease it for her so dont think i'll bother with the GP as every time i've taken any of them i've always been told its 'viral' and nothing they can prescribe so feel bad for dragging them out unwell.

Have done a huge amount of xmas shopping for DC's!! Got DH's pressy too, just need a bedding set for DS (ben 10) and some ben 10 toys and a ben 10 tub to keep em all in!! Then DD1 is almost sorted just maybe need another toy or 2 for her- but trying to keep toys to a minimum!! Got bags and bags of clothing and shoes for her!! DD2 is easy- have a few toys for her and lots of clothing but her main pressy will be an activity station which i'm getting from mothercare in a few weeks.

Can't believe how organised i am!! booking DS's birthday party in a few weeks, ordering my xmas meat from the butcher's next week... Xmas seems days away!!

Hope everyone's well.

Diege · 27/10/2009 11:45

LOL CANT at 'xmas seems days away' . Sorry to hear that dds have been so poorly . I think you're right about the gp. I swear they show them a powerpoint with the words 'It's viral' in bold print on first day of med school, then that's it for 4 years Oh and 'What are your period's like?' ...
TINK, I will think of you everytime I look at my cushion

cantmummyhaveabreak · 27/10/2009 12:01

haha- Diege- Periods- didn't wanna go there but having a nightmare of a time- AF is nearly 2 wks late this cycle!! Dont think there's any chance i'm PG, but i'm so confused as the first 4/5 periods i had after having DD2 were normal 28 day cycle's... then the last 2 mths been a nightmare!!

Xmas only seems days away as i still have so much to do in so little time!! It's only 8wks till xmas, DS's bday is 4 days before xmas day and i have tons to buy/arrange/sort/order- everything!! So much to do, so little time as they say!!

Diege · 27/10/2009 12:43

Hi CANT I think it can take a while for periods to get back to normal post-birth, even if they were ok for the first few cycles (read up about this when I had that funny bleed last month). Are you sure it's not worth doing a test?
I also have 2 birthdays before xmas (dd2 2&3 7th and 15th Nov) so hard to focus on the Big Day until these are out of the way! Must get going again on e-bay!

cantmummyhaveabreak · 27/10/2009 15:59

I'm 99.999999999% certain i'm not PG- well the 0.000000001% is purely for show!! I do have a test still from last month when it was over a week late. But i was 'due' to start the last day of our holiday- took everything with me and still haven't needed it.

I'm cooking a joint of pork for tea- doing a roast- but i dont like pork- and not liking the smell of it!! It's making me wanna heave!! I bought it because we ate beef at DH's grandparents when we were away- dont normally eat meat other than chicken, bacon, and pork sausages. I enjoyed the beef actually which surprised me so thought maybe i like different meats again after about 15 years off them... but i think i'll be having a chicken breast in the oven for me as the pork smells blimin awful!!

DD1 seems to be better still- all but a blocked nose now for her- DD2 still isn't herself- has been waking for feeds then straight back to sleep, she's waking more in the night for feeds than in the day- but as DH is working i can't sleep in the day!!- yawn!!

tinkisthrillerthrillernight · 27/10/2009 15:59

wow cant very organised you might be more organised than me

i have only got to get dd2s bday presents have her xmas ones and 1 more smas pressy for dd1 mite need a few more stocking fillers
sorry dd2s are ill what is it about half term and getting ill!!

diege lol

will join you cant on afs being all over the place mine are down to implant

Kayzr · 28/10/2009 07:17

Just a very quick post as this thread had fallen of my 'threads I'm on'

Been doing loads of horrible long shifts at work. We're having a refit so it is mayhem.

No xmas presents here. Wondering how we are going to afford them actually. Might just get the boys 1 thing each and no one else can have anything.

DS2 has slept the last 2 nights. I am hoping it will last as I am exhausted.

Hope everyone is well.

tinkisthrillerthrillernight · 28/10/2009 08:45

dh and dd1 had a great time in hull with his parents

b) stay @ a premier inn is money but more room and we are all in one room may have to go to bed early

kay - good luck with mole on freddy sure he will get used to it soon

have both girls today

Diege · 28/10/2009 13:12

Hello!

Diege · 28/10/2009 13:16

Just testing there as tried to post earlier with no success
TINKS, just thinking would it be easier for you and dh to host, even if it means going out somewhere for lunch? May be manic and stressful, but at least you'd be on your own turf and you could keep B in her routine etc etc. having said that, would dh's family have to stay over?
KAYZ, dh has a large birthmark on his arm and his mum used to call it his peckie spot or something similar . It might help him to give it a name and see it as something special to him, as others have said on your thread.
House is a total tip - dd2 back from playing at a friends and back to usual bickering . Not too long till bedtime??
