starrynight · 26/06/2005 18:06

I curse the day I discovered how to post links - I thought it was bad enough when I discovered the emoticons!

Bonkerz · 26/06/2005 22:31

How is everyone this morning?

george32 · 27/06/2005 08:52

Morning everyone.
Minnie, jumpers in this weather??? Hope its not too hot for you today. I've come clean with everyone now so I'm not so paranoid about my big fat tummy.

Anyoe else suffering from heartburn? Never had it before, DP had to explain what it was when I was moaning about it last night. It's not very nice is it!

Sweetheart, did you buy your buggy? What sort is it?

MINNIE1 · 27/06/2005 09:18

george32,
I know the weather has picked up here, but thank god for air con, the office is lovely and cool once i step outside OMG the heat.. Going to come clean this week so i'll ditch them.

dramaqueen72 · 27/06/2005 09:23

morning ladies, -snap george on the 'new' heart burn if i'm silly enough to eat spicy/strong foods i certainly pay for it later. rennies are now in my handbag!
minnie jumpers in this heat? lordy! you'll be fainting at everyones feet and giving yourself away! glad you get to relax and tell all this week then!
thanks for the links starry, will check out that buggy along with all the other then..... and wrote oct sale down so i dont forget,
well today i cannot do up the 'next size up from normal' jeans i have been wearing, so need some more maternity 'bottom halves' SIGH< has anyone else noticed the shops that actually DO sell maternity clothes have hundreds of tops and hardly any trousers/skirts/shorts? H&M for example had over 30 tops to choose from, and only five bottom halves!, will try dotty p's today as someone said what a nice range they have...hmmmmmmmmm,isnt there a gap on the market for sensibley priced nice maternity clothes? or maybe southampton is just poorly served maternity clotheswise and you are all having no trouble? definately reluctant to buy online as am now half way between sizes and shapes, iyswim!
ahem, major pg grumble now over........

sweetheart · 27/06/2005 09:39

Morning all,
look at \link{ www.amazingpregnancy-pictures.com/photopost/showphoto.php/photo/1251/cat/578/page/1\this woman} How can she possible be 16 weeks pregnant!!!!! I'm very

About the buggy - I was just about to order it on Friday when my boss said we could go home early. I decided that if it was still available today I would order it. But it's now SOLD OUT!!!! Don't know if it's a sign of bad luck!!!!!!

Went shopping yesterday and managed to get a dress for the wedding. It's here
It's empire line and accentuates my bump beautifully - and I got it in a size 10 which I was impressed about. Doesn't look much in the picture but it looks lovely on.

Hope everyone is doing well.
TC, it's especially nice to hear from you

sweetheart · 27/06/2005 09:40

that should be this woman

dramaqueen72 · 27/06/2005 09:47

okay let all try NOT to look at that woman! really depressed before clothes shopping now!!!!
dress is gorgeous s/h, love it.
and tis not bad luck about the buggy -it means a better nicer one is actually just round the corner

sweetheart · 27/06/2005 10:46

thanks dq - I hope your right.

Also forgot to say that I had a encounter with my dd this morning.

For no reason at all she came up and started kissing and stroking my belly - when I asked her what she was doing she said "kissing my baby sister"

I stood firm and told her there wasn't a baby in there and she looked at me (whilst I was trying to hide my grin) and said "yes there is"

I had to walk away!!! My dh said we should just tell her but we've come so far and we are only just over a week away from the scan.

Trust a 5 year old to tell it like it is!!!!

george32 · 27/06/2005 10:50

Grrr , she has such a smug face too.

Scroll down & look at the image 2 to the left - much more like it!!

MINNIE1 · 27/06/2005 11:58

sweetheart,
The dress is gorgeous really still had no luck.. that dress would be perfect and just what i am looking for. Would you mind if i copy you??

sweetheart · 27/06/2005 12:01

no not at all - so long as it's not the same wedding

I know how hard it has been to find something so by all means be my guest!!!

I didn't want to wear black but it was a case of beggars can't be choosers. I've brought some bright pink jewellary to accessorize with it and I'm going to get a pink clutch bag and shoes - plus a cardi or pashmina incase it's a bit chilly!!!!

Thats should brighten it up a bit!!!

Nemo1977 · 27/06/2005 12:08

hi all
hope u r all ok..hard weekend for me as my last baby would have been due on sat so a bit of a toughy...but im on the other side [special thanks to bonkerz..hugs hun]

I also think i have found my pram solution based on other peoples recommendations as i dont want double that is wide but dont like tandems that are long....so i present you with dahda

hope u r all well

MINNIE1 · 27/06/2005 12:34

sweetheart,
My wedding is on the 16th in Ireland, cant wait it will be all go 2 wks left and i have nothing to wear (well nothing strange for me)

Nemo,
Its hard when the DD comes up, found it hard last xmas but this year is a new begining for DP and I. Hope your ok..

O i have big news i bought a doppler yipppeeee horrrray... cant wait for it to arrive and hear my bubs as the nerves are coming back. So once i have that and hear bubs i will be off to tell the world.. yahoooooooooo

sweetheart · 27/06/2005 12:38

Minnie, our wedding is on the 17th so think we're safe as far as matching outfits go

Nemo, sorry to hear your having a hard time. My due date was Thursday and I had a good old cry in bed last night. I just want to get this week out the way. Do you feel better now it's past???

I've decided to avoid the dopplers. Judging by the sound I heard at my mw appt last week I wouldn't have found it myself.

I should start to feel movements soon so I'm just going to wait for that. Plus I have another scan next week.

sweetheart · 27/06/2005 12:38

is this Thur - not was last Thur - DUH!!!!

MINNIE1 · 27/06/2005 12:59

sweetheart
my next scan is in Aug and i would be a never gold that long, plus my sister can us it too.. O cant wait to get it!
I have posted a really silly thing that happened at the wkend over in the pregnancy thread have a look!!! Only could happen to me....

Nemo1977 · 27/06/2005 13:02

lol minnie

my next scan is aug 9th and im counting time as it seems ages since my 8wk scan...its actually booked for when i am 21 wks which is soo long away..lol

MINNIE1 · 27/06/2005 13:50

another silly thing is spelling (its all arse ways)

Nemo,
I think i am the end of Aug but cant wait, going on Hols in Sep for 2wks so i cant wait for that. How are you getting on with your doppler??

dramaqueen72 · 27/06/2005 14:50

okay nemo thats a really nice choice, but I want suitable from birth really.....I'm just being a nightmare deciding on one, think its my pg hormones my scan date has 'been posted' according to my midwife, but it certainly isnt here yet, sigh think its about end of july beginning of aug for my 19/21wks one. i could do with it sooner - this pg still feels sureal to me, i cant feel movement yet and sometimes feel totally NOT pg. thankfully i hear a heartbeat so know i am (and size of bump bit of a give away!)
s/h, most people also do without dopplers, I'm sorry we all rave on about them so, hope your scan is a fabulously great one and you can confirm dd's prediction! I read somewhere ages ago a four year old will guess the gender of your bump correctly -something to do with being 'in tune' and not preferring one or the other, and my last pg a four year old was right, and this time my nephew whos just four tells me its a boy. so you need to all go find a four year old and see what they say! (might not be too helpful to ask more than one tho.....could throw the whole theory out!)LOL!!

sweetheart · 27/06/2005 15:02

lol DQ - I can see lots of arrests coming on of pregnant women loitering outside infant schools and accosting children in the street ha ha!!!!

Don't worry about the doppler enthusiasum - it's great everyone is sounding so much more positive. I'm just glad that I personally didn't get one but I can see how it would be hreat for others.

My 20 week scan is booked for the 20th July gosh I didn't relise how close that was!!!!

dramaqueen72 · 27/06/2005 15:07

WOW youre so very nearly half way!! half way!!!!omg! which means i nearly am too........ need to sit down.................

sweetheart · 27/06/2005 15:09

lol

DQ - you've got me grinning from ear to ear!!!!

The last 5 weeks seem to have flown by!!!!!

sweetheart · 27/06/2005 15:12

btw,

who was having a scan today about 1pm (ish) was it starry night????

Let's hope who ever it was is here with some good news soon!!!
