HI Littleone and James - thanks for the welcome and the reassurance!

The being sick after you brush teeth is so irritating though, becasue you have to brush them again and run the toilet bowl gauntlet AGAIN!

Also, i'm not sure i'm getting the weakened bladder thing. i get up at least twice in the night, but daytime toilet trips (apart from to stare longingly into the empty bowl) are no more increased than normal!

Not to stress, not to stress. I shall develop a mantra...!

Love to join this thread, think i'm about 5 weeks pg due around the 28th may. DS was 6 weeks early so who knows when i'm really due! Been feeling alittle sick every now and then, really hungry and sore boobs that come and go. I have been so tired!!! I have a doc's appointment thurs am, not sure why sure i saw the midwife first last time
Like the wedding memories, here mine

• Got married June this year at a golf club in Surrey

-I wore a lovely Elis dress that was covered in crystals

• My DS (Then 18 months) was a pageboy and wore a bow tie in the same colour as the bridesmaids (5!) V. cute
• my flowers were lovely white and pink roses and some other flowers i dont know the name of!
• our first dance was lonestar amazed
• we honeymooned in Cosica (where i became pg!) We had a late honeymoon as DH is from New Zealand and we had his family over to stay for the wedding and some time after.

Afternoon all. DD is much much better and has gone to nursery for a few hours this afternoon giving me some much needed chill-out time.

headinawhirl my last pg was awful with the diabetes. Was on insulin from day 1 and had to increase dose steadily throughout til I was injecting massive doses every time. That's one of the main reasons I had the gastric bypass, as it can completely cure type 2 diabetes. We don't yet know if it has cured mine coz they wouldn't risk taking me off the pills to check while I was ttc so they're treating me as if I still have it just in case.

I'm having the most freaky sensation - I've either got the worst/most powerful trapped wind in history or my 9+2 foetus is the size of a small child coz I'm feeling some serious movement! I don't mean the first flutterings kind, I'm talking the kind of feeling I had at about 30 weeks with DD, where you feel some little creature doing a somersault in your belly!
I finally have the date for my first scan. It's been almost 2 weeks since my booking appt with MW and I'd heard nothing - despite the hospital telling me she would book me for an early scan. Yesterday I went to hospital for a load of bloods and just popped in to the diabetic ante-natal clinic to enquire about it. The MW there went and checked and said - just as well you're on top of this - the community MW didn't book you for a scan at all! So she then went and booked me for 12th Oct, by which time I'll be 11+1 according to MW dates. So much for my early scan

My wedding was as follows-
-July 2004, 4 years to the day that we first met
-it was 2 days after my mum's 50th birthday and she always said she wanted to go to Vegas for her 50th so we decided to do it there and combine the 2 (I was married in a big white church do before). Mum & step-dad, best friend and her mum, brother-in-law and his wife all came with us.
-pics of dress etc on my profile somewhere (it was a size 32 - one day maybe I'll have it made into 2 dresses I can wear to mess ball!), DH was in his Number 1s (dress uniform) and Vegas in July is really no place for a heavy wool uniform.
-we had a reception back in Glasgow 4 weeks later for all friends/family at which our first dance was Hero (Enrique), totally cheesy I know but I figured it fitted as he had proposed on his return from Iraq - using every penny he'd saved during his 7mths out there to buy the ring of my dreams.
-mum and her partner had lived together for 15 yrs but never married. After our wedding was over they announced they had gone and got a license and would be tying the knot 4 days after us in another little chapel on the strip, so we ended up being their witnesses - all a bit jeremy kyle but it was a lot of fun.

I have always had the brushing teeth/sickness thing, I have come to do it quick before I gag.

Loving all these stories of weddings, DP and I have never gor around to it, we have been together for almost 15 years, got engaged 10 years ago but life has got in the way, that and the fact I seem to have been pregnant for the past 5 years. Still maybe one day.....

Have found chewing gum helps with the nausea a bit. Am so so spotty as well, skin is very greasy and bumpy.

DD1 had her first full day at school today, keep thinking this time next year I will have 2 school children to pick up and a double buggy with DD3 and D(D)4!

hello all, and welcome newbies

no greasy hair or skin here: but mine is usually quite dry: i never had spots, even as a teenager.

wedding: 2005 in chelsea registry office and reception in a livery hall in the city. first dance 'they can't take that away from me' by louis armstrong and ella fitzgerald. Honeymoon 6 weeks in chile and bolivia.

It's the fatigue that is my primary symptom now. I am shattered! Have just spent most of the day with a mate and her kids and am having a much needed lie on my bed whilst i catch up on mn.

hi to all the newbies and congratualtions!

I had my booking appointment today with the midwife. It was fine until I had my blood done, they could not any blood out of me and had to end up using a different needle. It was awful. I went pure white and nearly passed out. Put me off for life now. At least I'm in the system now and just have to wait for a letter about my scan.

I got married Febuary 2008 at wellington college in crowthorne. It was lovely. I had a really gorgeous designer dress in ivory. My first song was Brian McKnight - Back At One. We had our honeymoon in Egypt. Was sad when it was all over. I wish we could do it all over again. xx

Wow thats a long list

forces love the wedding in Vegas. Me and dh have been twice before dd came along and absolutely loved it. Where did you stay?

Wedding was last month! Married at Islington hall, reception in Clerkenwell. Wore an amazing 1940's ish dress by David Fielden that i am never going to fit into ever again. One day spa mini-moon where i got up the duff and real honeymoon in 2 months time in thailand where - mother nature willing - i will be 20 weeks pregnant. Not quite what i had in mind!

Wedding day was AMAZING. Far better than i ever thought possible but it certainly seems like a long time ago now. Amazing how ms makes the days drag...

hollyoaks we stayed at the Mirage. If we went back again I'd stay in a much cheaper hotel (as my mum & step-dad did) as under normal circumstances you spend so little time in the hotel anyway - however I had food poisoning for most of the first week so was really grateful for the little luxuries like the hot-tub bath when I couldn't leave the room! Was a real pain as we'd decided the first week would be our alone time for a pre-wedding honeymoon, then everyone else would fly out the couple of days before the wedding and have the 2nd week with us.

forces what bad luck to have a bug on first week , you need good luck when you go to vegas. We stayed at the Luxor which I think is one of the cheaper big casinos and it was great, lovely rooms, great pool and excellent food. We spend alot of time in the hotel though gambling. Our luck just wasnt as good as the other casinos .

Just updating with my age.
I'm still hanging around, had some horrendous cramps at the weekend and the tiniest streak of spotting so having a scan tomorrow although everything has settled down since Sunday and I still have all my pregnancy symptoms (plus did another test and a v strong BFP).
Keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow. I HATE these early weeks, they can't go fast enough for me!

LotusPalm we holidayed in Thailand last year when I was 20 weeks pregnant and it was wonderful. Everyone was so kind (the guards at the stations wouldn't even let me go through the automatic ticket barriers but would open the disabled access for me - I must have been huge!).

Just had booking appt with MW and have requested a date for a scan - we will be on holiday when I would be due one so I've put in a special request for it to be the week after. Don't have to see her again until 16 weeks which feels a lifetime away!

Katnkittens I couldn't agree more. The early weeks, feeling like crap, really wanting a baby that may not come. I'll be glad when we're all (more) safely in the second trimester.

My mate reckons I'm having a boy since I'm only craving savoury foods. I definitely ate chocolate when pg iwth dd, so who knows? If true, maybe I won't put on 3.5 stone this time!

April- That was our first dance too. I had the second dance with my dad. He choose the music- My girl! It was soo sweet!

Got some sad news today DH's lovely grandad is in hospital very seriously ill. We're not sure how bad it actually is or what's likely to happen atm because apparently the hospital staff are stumped

Ive got my MW appt week after next which will make me ten weeks, then the same week Ive got my appt in the consultant clinic..no sign of an appt for the 12 week scan yet

Aww lovely wedding stories, we were married in 2000 up in Scotland, had a wonderful honeymoon in Mauritius then came home to the thud of the British winter as we got married in October!

I phoned the MWs today as still not heard about a booking in appointment and I was told my form was still at the Doctors surgery as they have been on holiday for two weeks so they wont pick it up until a wee tomorrow and they will write to me with a date then! I am ( + 1 today so I don't think my booking in will be until about 12 wks then I'll have to wait for the scan to come through.... and we only get the one scan up here.

Suey you were fab with advice in my last pregnancy regarding exercise and post natal exercises, would you mind I bend your ear again? Are planks still ok or should I avoid them? I am only doing gentle exercising but sometimes they finish the body balance class of with planks and wasnt sure if it was ok or not.

I am with everyone who is suffering greasy hair/skin symptoms - I have the skin of a teenager and not in a good way! Also eating loads of carbs but strangely loads of fruit as well...hopefully that is healthy for T2...

Wedding memories:

• got married at York Minster June 2004

• wore a raw silk dress with a long veil made by a little shop in the Shambles, York, where I have lived since I was 2 (in York obv, not in the shop!)

• reception was at the Parsonage hotel, and first dance was The Way You Look Tonight by Frank Sinatra

• honeymoon was three weeks in Mauritius which was amazingly beautiful, but the first night we arrived I cried buckets because I wanted my friends and family to be there as well!

Really enjoyed reading about everyone else's wedding - Viv you must keep us regularly updated about all the planning and wedding preps - you won't find any negative comments about weddings from me, I love them!

We're going overland from bangkok down to Nakhon Si thammerat - stopping for a few nights here and there, and then over to Ko Jum, Ko Lanta and Ko Kradan off the Trang coast. Really cant wait! 3 weeks in total, should be blissful

We went last Christmas as well and travelled around central thailand before going down to the Cambodian border and the islands down there. Spent 10 days on Ko Mak and Ko Kood.

Tomlin I adore weddings too went to a gorgeous one at the weekend. My sister was a bridesmaid and the dresses were inspired by the ones the girls wear in the Sex & the City movie- all different colours and v glamorous, they looked amazing!

My wedding was October 2006 at my home church and Bowood House in Wiltshire.. absolutely gorgeous autumnal day.
My dress was given to me by a friend- beautiful ivory silk gown that I accessorized with a lace bolero- everyone always says it was v Pride & Prejudice
Our first dance was Only Hope by Mandy Moore, lovely song.

Really sympathise with all you girls re nausea and going off foods! I really fancy something, have it, it eases the nausea, then whenever I think about it it turns my tomach! Can't win. Feeling ever so tired too..in fact I should go to bed now!

Lovely to read all the wedding stuff. I got married in 2007 in thornton manor on the wirral, lace dress, very slimline with a gorgeous little train. Had calla lillies in a trear drop bouquet with some White roses too.
Honey moon was 3weeks travelling America, we did Hawaii, San Francisco and las Vegas. Hawaii was may favourite.
Writing on my phone so gotta stop as eyes are killing me.
Oh and I am dying of morning sickness too!
