Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
lizzie9442 · 10/10/2009 14:25

hi everyone, sorry not been posting much but have been reading all your posts.

Just got my scan letter through and its monday 19th october so just over a week to wait. I will be 12+3 when I have the scan so fingers crossed it will all be good news. I am so nervous now though. Still feeling incredibly sick which is horrible. Hopefully the sickness won't last to much longer for me. I'm 11+1 today.

Hope everyone else is ok and not struggling to much. xxxx

memorylapse · 10/10/2009 14:39

Lizzie..the fact that you feel so poorly is a good sign as it means the hormone levels are high

Angel-yes I have been..ahem bleeding, going to mention it to the midwife on tuesday and see what she suggests..tried orange juice but just bring it back up..the only thing I seem to be able to eat at the mo is plain pasta and crumpets...

my house looks like a bombsite..but I feel too crap to do anything about it...DH works weekends and I usually do too, seems strange to be at home

tiggsy · 10/10/2009 15:14

hi all, i had a worying dream last night! dreamt me, dp, dd and bean (who was a boy) were staying in the hotel from the shining film, very weird! then had another one where i was surrounded by freezers full of food... didn't have any of this with dd

Carikube · 10/10/2009 15:50

Hmmm.... well today is just a marvellous day; DH and I are not getting on at all for some reason and he has just told me that today 'is the worst day of our marriage so far'

Just as well we're off on a 3-week holiday in a couple of days then so we'll have plenty of time to annoy each other further

memorylapse · 10/10/2009 16:03

Carikube-Ive found that my DH and I tend to argue more when Im pregnant,I think early pregnancy can be a testing time when you are feeling like crap and quite often DH'S dont understand why you havent got the energy to do stuff, feel like poop and want to be in bed by 8pm

Carikube · 10/10/2009 16:14

Memorylapse - I know and I think he forgets on a fairly regular basis that I am pregnant. It doesn't help that I had my hair cut this morning and it's quite short which has really upset him.
Never mind - tomorrow will be another day and I'm sure we'll be fine; we just need today to end first!!

memorylapse · 10/10/2009 16:34

Carikube-your hair will grow again, in fact it will probably grow quite quickly now you are pregnant. The holiday will probably do you both the world of good
me and DH have rowed today on the phone because the house looks like a bombsite and DD2 has basically vandalised the living room and her bedroom and is now refusing to tidy it..I ended up phoning DH in tears which of course was very silly as he is at work so he has ranted at me down the phone in front of his work colleagues. We live in a large victorian house so its difficult to keep tidy at the best of times but now Im ill its just not going to happen..Im a bit obsessive about the housework so its horrible not being well enough to keep it tidy..Im cross with my mum too, she only lives 20 mins away but apart from coming over on a thursday, she wont help out..in fact last time she came over..she told me off for letting the house get untidy

sweetkitty · 10/10/2009 17:13

argh I feel so rough yuck yuck yuck

Memorylapse - oh sod the housework it will wait you can tackle it once you feel better or get DH to do it even better, happy 10 weeks to you too I'm thinking thats a quarter of the way there already, think positive

Carikube - I got my hair cropped after DD3 was born am now growing it again, I don't think men get it as they cannot see anything yet, you look the same but feel awful, once the bump starts I find you get more sympathy.

Boobs - mine are tender but haven't really grown, I only stopped BFing DD3 the week I got my BFP so think they are still recovering, still have a little milk there too

welcome Hampdenpark and anyone else new, hope everyone else is having a good Saturday and not feeling too ill

Hollyoaks · 10/10/2009 17:17

ML I'm the same with the housework, my house is a bombsite and only have dh and dd There are toys everywhere and despite dh doing the washing last night there is still dirty laundry everywhere as well. Dh is trying his best but I just can't be bothered to get up and help, I have never been so drained, even during my last pregnancy.

Oh, and I'm constipated to

Carikube of your holiday.

Whinge over, I'm actually feeling better than I have in days

memorylapse · 10/10/2009 17:17

Sweetkitty-happy 10 weeks to you too

welcome to all the newbies..looks like August was a busy month this year!

sweetkitty · 10/10/2009 17:19

I haven't done an ironing in ages either, by the time the DDS are in bed I am too tired to even think about ironing. DDs have no clothes in their wardrobes.

memorylapse · 10/10/2009 17:21

Hollyoaks-I dont remember being this exhausted with DD2 either..but this time I could sleep for Britain
why do we put ourselves through this pregnancy lark? constipation, exhaustion, sickness and thats just the first 12 weeks!

memorylapse · 10/10/2009 17:22

Whats an iron?? do people iron?? this is a phenomena I am unaware of

Carikube · 10/10/2009 17:46

Hollyoaks, at the rate we're going you can probably go on the holiday instead of me! DH is still stropping - apparently my new hair cut has upset him so much he can't even look at me (!) so he's gone and packed his holiday stuff and taken up all the space in the suitcase (and then got upset when I told him that today wasn't the worst day I'd had in our marriage as I think there have been far worse!!)

tiggsy · 10/10/2009 18:34

sweetkitty it's cold enough down our way that we can get away by not doing ironing by wearing jumpers all the time!!

sweetkitty · 10/10/2009 18:37

carikube - you sure he hasn't got some pregnancy hormones, it's only a haircut, men eh??!!

Gils · 10/10/2009 20:51

Hi all and welcome newbies. Sorry not been on for so long, keep catching up with posts then end up going up to bed before I get chance t post.

Had rough few days. Had gently brown spotting on Thursday and cramps, red and cramps on Friday and woke up this morning to few clots and bleeding on and of through day. trying to remain optimistic, had bleeding with DD and she was fine but this feels worse.

To top it all of DH went back to work today, he works 4 on 4 off so wont be home till Tuesday night and could do with him here.

Have scan on Monday. 12 week scan on 30th, hoping I get there.

At MIL tomorrow, haven't said to them about bleeding. SIL suffered 2 miscarriages while trying to conceive her 2nd.

Carikube · 11/10/2009 08:12

Gils fingers crossed for you that everything is ok and that the scan on Monday goes well.

DH still wasn't talking to me when I went to bed last night so it will be interesting to see whether things get any better today - I have a feeling they won't but there you go

mummydemma · 11/10/2009 10:09

Hi everyone!

I can't believe how many posts there are on this thread already! I got my BFP on the May Bus and joined this thread and on the same day my lap top got a near fatal virus! Sooo, I only got it back yesterday and have been frantically trying to catch up with this thread! I will post more regularly once I am up to speed.

Congrats to everybody and two sets of twins....wow!

'Speak' to you all soon.

Hollyoaks · 11/10/2009 10:29

carikube I can have my suitcase and passport ready in an hour if you insist I'm sure things will settle down at home and you'll have a great holiday.

gils hope your feeling ok and your scan goes well tomorrow.

AnAngelWithin · 11/10/2009 10:29

morning all. how are you? I am finding it hard to summon up the energy to do anything today! My house looks like a bombs gone off in it! My excuse is that we are having new windows fitted next week so there's no point cleaning

and IRON??? WHATS THAT??? I only iron shirts whenever anyone wants one, but other than that, a good fabric conditioner, a tumble dryer with and anticrease function and lots of buckets to sort it all into as soon as possible is enough! I have actually had people commenting on how tidy my children look and that I must spend hours ironing

I am not even dressed yet. DH is at work, and the kids are in a particularly argumentative moood this morning. Having one of those 'what have I let myself in for' days

Carikube hope you have a nice holiday. Just ignore your DH, you need to stay as stress free as possible!

tiggsy the dreaming is horrid isn't it?? I am having awful ones this time I dream worse with girls.

Gils fingers crossed for you for tomorrow. Will be thinking of you.

Hollyoaks · 11/10/2009 10:47

anangelwithin you reminded me of the dream I had last night. I was in my parents old house which was overlooking the sea (it doesn't in real life). We were watching large waves start to form which eventually came into the back garden and then eventually hot the french doors and smashed all the glass. A whale and large black fish were then thrown into the back garden and then it all stopped?

It then jumped to me and an unknown friend pinching shoes from an expensive shop and then running through the backstreets of an unknown place from the shop assistant.

Anyone want to attempt to analyse me

AnAngelWithin · 11/10/2009 11:05

erm...ok....

no

my dreams are horrible sinister ones that scare the life out of me!! The other night I dreamt I got a brain tumour and bone cancer and had to decide whether to abort my baby so I could try and get better. It was awful. I was in a wheelchair, too weak to to anything and DH was lifting me in and out the car to try and to the school run. It was so vivid it scared me so much. Sob.

Hollyoaks · 11/10/2009 11:22

anangelwithin it sounds like your dreams are linked to anxiety and fear over the pregnancy. Mine are just weird I hate it when you have dreams like that, it feels so real when you wake up.

slipperthief · 11/10/2009 11:58

I dreamt a bear stole all my socks last night and hung them all in trees. Think it may be something to do with the enormous pile of clean laundry to sort & put away.
