Hello

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
LolaAnn · 09/10/2009 13:55

Yay memorylapse Wow that is quite exciting about how realistic they look at the scan, I have to hold out for almost 2 weeks for my first one, going to be so interesting to see!! And to know how far along I am lol

LolaAnn · 09/10/2009 13:56

tiggsy 20th of november oh my gosh that is ages!!! mines the 21st of this month and im dying to know already... your DD sounds so sweet

Carikube · 09/10/2009 14:03

9 weeks today so another week crossed off the chart - yay!

Haven't had it nearly as bad as others here but my stomach is not desperately happy at the mo. Also the house is cold as we haven't put the heating on (we go on holiday on Tues so won't bother before we go) but at least dd is asleep on me so is keeping my lap warm

LittleOneMum · 09/10/2009 14:32

Hello everyone! waves

Has anyone told their other DCs yet? I told my DS a few days ago that 'mummy had a baby in her tummy' but he is quite small still (just turned 2) so his reaction was a bit muted and I thought - I'll try again when he's a bit older.

But brilliantly, this morning, he was lying on my bed and DH and I came over and he showed me his tummy and said 'I've got a tummy', to which we replied 'yes, you have' and then he patted it and said 'I've got a baby in it!' DH and I were floored with laughter!

tiggsy · 09/10/2009 15:07

littleonemum my dd knows, she's 26months and seems to have grasped it. we had to tell her something as she liked jumping on me all the time. now she keeps telling me i have her brother AND sister in my tummy... she loves it when we go and look at pushchairs cos she zooms off with any that she can push!!

Puddingclub · 09/10/2009 15:16

Hallo, can I join you?
I have been lurking a bit on this thread, but only just figured out how to namechange (am regular-ish poster, but not ready to go public yet, even on here). DC 3 is due 30th April/1 May.

Am about 10+6, trying to keep schtum until I have a scan, I must be a better actress than I thought as my mum just stayed for a week and didn't spot the all too obvious.

I'm off to catch up with who you all are!

memorylapse · 09/10/2009 15:27

welcome puddingclub

we told our dc because they are 18.15.8 and 5 and would have wondered why I was poorly, we didnt want them to think anything ominous was wrong

Puddingclub · 09/10/2009 15:44

Haven't told the dcs (5 & 2)yet because they will just tell everyone else. The little one is especially crap at keeping secrets. Big one has been pestering us for "more babies" since DD was born, so hoping for a good reaction when we do tell them.

I'm 39 so sort of can't quite believe it is all happening. Really feel the need for reassurance - scan isn't for nearly another fortnight.

Memorylapse - like the positive thinking! Need some of that myself! What do your big kids think of the news?

memorylapse · 09/10/2009 15:54

Puddingclub-DD 18 doesnt think much, shes living the high life at uni
DS 15..is more disgusted I think that mum and dad still "do it" ..

the younger 2 are very excited expecially DD2 5 who is desperately hoping for a sister.
Im just keeping fingers crossed that I dont have to break bad news to them..but wouldnt have told them if it hadnt have been for how bad my sickness is.
Im 37 so cant really beleive this is happening to me either!

sweetkitty · 09/10/2009 15:58

hi ladies very cold today up here too heating been on a bit

Nausea about the same, feeling a bit hormonal and down really, fell out with DP and not ready to talk to him yet.

Re telling other DCs my 5yo sussed it about a week or so ago telling me I have a baby bump I blamed chocolate cake and she said "no mummy it's a baby" haven't told her properly yet even 3yo DD2 has been saying "mummy you have a bump" think they will both be delighted to have another sister (or brother but more likely sister)

Got my booking in appt through which was fast, next Friday at 9am which means I can actually go as it's half term and DP on holiday.

memorylapse - my bean and your bean are the same age so fingers and everything crossed for both of us

puddlingclub - congrats and welcome, am thinking about who you might be now

cupcake - am so on your behalf, even our rubbish health board offer women with previous mc a scan, could you maybe get a private one?

Agree with everyone else roll on 13 weeks for us all, ms ending and good scans all round

memorylapse · 09/10/2009 16:04

Sweetkitty- we are due date twins

we still have no heating..been 14 days since the part was ordered.

Ive tentatively uploaded tuesdays scan pic..im 10 weeks tomorrow so bean was 9+3..if you click on my profile you can see it

Puddingclub · 09/10/2009 16:10

Oh wow ML. It's still so amazing to see isn't it? Even a few times around.

sweetkitty - am no big cheese on here, you prob won't know me but some other locals know my posting name. sorry you're fed up. it's weird these first few weeks/months.

perishing here too

cupcakefairy · 09/10/2009 16:15

Thanks for the anger on my behalf girls I just think every woman with mc history should be given an early scan...all that anxiety really can't be helping baby and as you say Lola it doesn't cost the hospital anything!

SK we could go private but as dh has just been made redundant and I only earn pennies we can't really justify spending the money. Never mind..I should stop moaning, only 3 weeks til my official scan and I definitely feel pregnant! Can't stop falling asleep!

memorylapse glad you are thinking positive will be amazing if we can all look back on this scare once you are holding your LO in your arms

memorylapse · 09/10/2009 16:30

Pudding- this is baby number 5 and Im still blown away when I have a scan

cucpcake-I feel angry on your behalf..you should have an early scan, my local epu told me that women who have previously miscarried can self refer and request to have a scan at what ever stage in the first 12 weeks in their unit. They have been fab with me, everytime Ive bled, I have phoned them direct and theyve brought me in for a scan..havent needed to go through the midwives or gp

AnAngelWithin · 09/10/2009 16:39

hello ladies..groan...gripe.... I feel awful. Got a tummy bug as well again, thought I was over the worst but I feel dreadful again. DH and dd2 feel ill too. dd was getting better but been asleep all afternoon again. I promised DH i would cook a roast beef dinner tonight, but I just can't summon the energy

Memorylapse, so glad to see you being more positive. 2 weeks isn't long.

Welcome pudding.

LolaAnn · 09/10/2009 17:08

Hmmm I didn't even know there is such a thing as an EPU. I'm going to try and figure out who I can contact and see if they will say anything different.

Welcom PuddingClub and congrats. Everyone is hanging out for scans!! Haha in abut a month at least we will all know for sure, thats what I keep telling myself.....

going crazy patiently waiting for scan

Sophie2008 · 09/10/2009 19:53

Hello All again,

I am feeling so tired at the moment. Decided to have a nap when DD had hers this afternoon. It turned into a 3 hour nap.

DH really doesn't get how tired i am at all. And has started to moan about stuff around the house, which is really getting me. Especially when he moans at me for something he does himself!! huh

My SIL gave birth today, and now i really can not wait to meet my two little beans.
Got another scan on the 27th of Oct and can't wait as will then be able to tell the rest of our families.

TwentiethCenturyHeffa · 09/10/2009 20:01

Welcome Puddingclub!

Congrats to your SIL Sophie2008, how exciting

Sorry for everyone having a rough time

LolaAnn · 10/10/2009 00:10

Hmmm last night and tonight I noticed the tinest bit of very very faint brown in my CM when I wiped and a tiny bit on my undies. I'm a bit worried, hoping it might be because I'm a bit constipated tmi sorry... I don't have any cramps or anything... and I have heard brown is the best colour to have after white.. but still making me feel a bit uneasy. That and I have been so sick (sick with runny nose and cold etc) and don't have any real preg symptoms so far... can't help but think the worst...

suey2 · 10/10/2009 08:33

please don't worry lolaann, I had exactly the same last week when I strained too hard. It lasted about 3 days afterwards and I'm now drinking more water and taking care not to strain and it's gone. I'm sure you will be the same: sit and let it happen (like men do LOL)

hampdenpark27 · 10/10/2009 09:09

Hi all, i'm also due may 2010. the 11th to be precise. I'm only 9 weeks and already my skinny jeans don't fit, and my boobs feel like lead balloons. they've grown 2 sizes up already. This is my 2nd pregnancy, my first born is 5 and a half. its nice to have this thread for support.

cupcakefairy · 10/10/2009 12:06

Hi hampden, welcome
I'm only 8+3 and I can sympathise on the boobs! Can't get comfy with them in my way at night, goodness knows how I'll sleep with a huge bump too!!

Den26 · 10/10/2009 13:45

Hi All..

Welcome puddingclub and hampden Memorylapse great to hear your trying to stay positive - sending you positive vibes over next 2 weeks - your pic looks amazing!

LolaAnn - try not too worry and take it easy

Having vivid dreams too - woke up totally freaked out the other night

Don't feel as nauseous anymore - over last 2 days - which should be a good thing but can't help worrying a little as i'm only 8 weeks. we are all soo sensitive to things in these first few months!!!!! Roll on 12 weeks!

memorylapse · 10/10/2009 13:49

Lola-when I was 9 weeks preg with dd2 I got a stinking cold and my symptoms diminished but I think its because I couldnt smell anything!

Im 10 weeks today..yay double figures! I feel as sick as a dog today and didnt get up until 1pm ds1 who is almost 16, was a star, sorting the younger two out and bringing me a cup of tea in bed..bless him.
Got my scan appt through but its not until Im 13 weeks , going for my booking in on Tuesday..DH cant come but is coming to the consultants booking in with me on weds.
TMI alert..but is anyone suffering really badly with constipation?..I seem to go days and not go, and not getting the desire but I know I need to.. phoned the gp but they wont prescribe anything until after 12 weeks.

AnAngelWithin · 10/10/2009 14:11

ML i'm the same! the joys of pregnancy. I seem to end up bleeding if i ..ahem.... 'try too hard' Have you tried orange juice. Pick at dry shreddies or something?
