Ursi we are the same day! Mine was put back from Nov 2nd. Halloween babies!
Must get my head out of the sand- nothing is ready, I have no plans for ds when I go into labour, have no idea where to give birth, no birth plan (not that it counted for a lot last time but hey), no hospital bag, no nursery furniture, moses basket in the loft, no idea where baby monitor is, no gym ball, no raspberry leaf.... hmmm.
Tabby was so sorry to hear of you having to face such a dreadful thing.
Katster was it you who talked about visitors? I had my mum and sister around after the birth for a couple of days but that was it (they stayed in a b and b close by) It was OK but not mega helpful: eg mum helped put the pram together which was fab, but also had plenty of unwanted - though well meant- advice about feeding, sleeping etc. I reckon that visitors are a bit of a pain in the first couple of weeks unless:
a) they don't stay long
b) only offer advice if asked,
c) make the tea
d) do the washing up, and
e) bring biscuits and casseroles round.
Maybe you could use these as preconditions for any visitors?
I have to go into work either this week or next to discuss my grievance re bullying and options for getting out of my contract. Bit of a stress, could need some hand holding!
