BTW the Next jeans are working reasonably well but I'm wondering if I should have got a size smaller. Big Primark woolies are great though. Wish I had the wherewithall to have bought big knicks and baby stuff while I was there too

I sympathise with you late Nov girls. I wasn't on MN during pg #1, but the November antenatal class all popped their sprogs ahead of my Nov 21st due date, and DD didn't make an appearance until induced and then emcs on 5th Dec. I was so gutted not to have a Nov baby.

Broodzilla sorry, posted my thoughts on the thread to Laugs! Am happy to go with the majority but just didn't want any mums-to-be getting any frightening info they don't need before their big day!

Kyte good idea

Brood I really like the idea of staying on this thread. However also take Scarlotti's point about it potentially scaring off people yet to have babas. I'm due Nov 26th so am in the camp of people who may get scared, especially as it's Number 1! But then again I really want everyone to stay together on one thread like a big happy family! Therefore I'm going to be really boring and keep neutral and say I'm happy to go with the flow.

mumsiebumsie · 21/09/2009 14:39

Very good idea Kyte - nice middle ground.

I like kyte's idea, too. I understand the point about people being stressed reading the stories, but I would hate to lose the track of you guys.

Ooh, isn't this getting ecxiting?

PavlovtheForgetfulCat · 21/09/2009 15:17

SO many posts can't keep up!

Just to say, I think that this thread is for all of us who have shared this pregnancy, and for any who wish to join and I personally envisage this continuing into the post-natal thread too. If you have your baby in October, or have your baby in December, then it does not matter a jot, we have gone on this journey together, the month is a moot point for me.

I would feel more comfortable posting about birthing stories on a post-natal thread/happy to start an interim thread too if that is decided. I feel that for first time mothers, some people might not enjoy reading it all! And I like that we can keep some of the mystery for them! Also, in particular those who have difficult births (hopefully we will all sail through) won't frighten those yet to give birth. But as mentioned, we can link to the new thread so that those who do want to know and read and post can do so.

I am feeling awful. Have Drs appt today this evening to check my blood pressure as have been violently sick yesterday and today, and have horrid horrid ingestion, and now a stinking headache. I am worried they might tell me to pop along for a check up at hosp. I just don't have time for that!

I have been banished from the front room. which is being decorated. I am stressing as I cannot see what they are doing, but I attempted to help today and made myself feel so much worse.

Pav sorry to hear you're feeling so rubbish, you could do without that what with all the building stress you have.

Agree, let's have a post-natal thread where we can post birth stories and any questions about birth/post birth body nasties, but keep our chat for here. Guess that means the first to pop gets to start the post-natal thread then!!

scarlotti i think i just have to find a way to just let it all go. You know, wash over me. We have had a quote from builder which is high, we might try to barter him down, and if not, we may just talk to MIL and ask for her help, which will involve a lot of 'i told you this loft conversion was not a good idea' but she might lend us the difference between what we have and what we need, and just bloody well do it. It will mean this time in 3 weeks, the work will be undertaken and this time in 4 weeks it will be done, and done well. But today, I just need to bury myself in the bedroom as I am and ignore the sanding going on!

Confession: I can't remember exactly where I'm up to, so I just added a day on to Fruitpastel's count.

A friend of mine has just gone into hospital to be induced at 40 + 15 with her second. God, I hope that's not me - ten days overdue was quite bad enough! And everyone says that first babies are most likely to be late, but I rather expect subsequent sprogs to make a more timely entrance.

pavlov - earplugs, bed, a book and a mug of hot chocolate perhaps? Or anything else that you can stomach. Hope the appointment goes well and you'll feel better soon.

scarlotti · 21/09/2009 15:50

I thought the dd in the list stood for due date ...?! Or are we supposed to put in dd/ds if we know what we're having?
Oops

Broodzilla · 21/09/2009 15:51

Pavlov Sorry you're feeling poorly again! Do you think it's the HE making a reappearance? (I remember the nausea being far worse when I was stressed/tired, but not sure that can bring it back?) Either way, hope you can manage to stay in bed and watch trashy TV or read a book or something for the rest of the day. Good luck with the appointment and let us know how you're getting on later.

Kyte fab idea!

Wowee. I know someone said it the other day too, but remember when we all joined? I was all jittery and kept lurking for ages until I took the step... all the counting down to 12 weeks and then the 20 wk scan... now look at us! I just counted, I've got 42 days to go! Ursi, you're even closer!

Although, I guess it's just a date... Oh well, it's safe to say by Mid-December we'll all have graduated from here!

Broodzilla · 21/09/2009 15:54

Oooh, I'm such a wombat! I was actually thinking the list seemed very girly... Erm, that would be because it's Due Date... Here we go -

PavlovtheForgetfulCat · 21/09/2009 15:57

Poor DH, its our wedding anniversary today - 2 years. I wanted to do something nice with him today, then we had to paint, then i got sick, likely we will do not very much and I will have an early night! I would suggest take away but i can't eat the curry right now, or chinese (vile while pg for some reason) and dh does not like take out pizza.

I don't think it is HE reoccuring - i feel quite unwell with it. GP is ruling out an infection of some kind I think (and pre-eclamsia which I know its not just a good idea to give me some reassurance though)

maman2tom · 21/09/2009 16:00

Hi Hope its still Ok to join the thread so late in the day. Been meaning to join for ages but I've been confined to bed for the last 6weeks! risk of preterm labour. I'm over the initial shock/worry and i'm now just counting down the days till 37 weeks when baby is no longer premature! I feel like i've been pregnant forever!!

Anyway Hi to everyone!

PavlovtheForgetfulCat · 21/09/2009 16:05

Hi maman2tom of course you are still welcome to join us! I should think we will get people joining at lots os different stages - i did not join the last group when I had DD until post-natal stage!

Sorry to hear you have been bed ridden, glad to hear things are improving and fingers crossed that it stays good until 37 weeks at least!

Hello maman - not too late at all, we're a welcoming bunch. Sorry to hear about your trouble, have you long to go to 37 weeks?

pav - happy anniversary! Sorry it's not in better circumstances, but who says you can't celebrate later, when you're better?

broodzilla - doesn't it seem like last week? I have all the threads saved in my Watched items, must go over them sometime. Especially as I've not been taking notes so all the valuable tips are still to be saved.
