awww hope this little girl decides to come soon for you IDOB ye was good just sat on here and watched some tele DS got back around half 3, and went straight down for his nap, and is still asleep now just hope this doesnt mean hes going to be a nightmare tonight.

Diege · 04/10/2009 08:44

Morning! Hope ds was alright in the night MMM after his nap. Tis a fear of mine too that long naps = short night sleep, but in fact I find that without the naps they often wake earlier
IDOB any news??? You must be sick of all the asking by now
Off to Wales to see sister, nieces and parents today. Dd1 has had her first sleep over so will be collecting her first; was very odd not having her in the house this morning!
Just been looking at ds's clothes and I can finally say that he can no longer into his 3-6 month things. Put him in 6-9 vest this morning and it fits like a gloves, so may have to do a bit more shopping soon!
Hope everyone is well and enjoying the blustery autumn weekend. I love this time of year

maxxymoosmummy · 04/10/2009 09:57

morning, yes had a great night still here. i woke him up at 7.30 to change nappy and get him ready for bed etc, was hoping to keep him up for an hour to play, but didnt work as he was wingey and tired still so he went back down at around 8 slept all the way through till 5.30 then had some milk and went back down till just before 9.30 the lazy boy haha.

Diege · 04/10/2009 20:00

Evening Ooh no news from IDOB...could this be it? Had good time in Wales, though very tired now and J grouchy on way back being out of routine. Am tentatively thinking of having xmas at ours and inviting family round; seems early days but it will soon creep up
Hope hosp visit went ok MMM, hi TINKS, Next stuff is always cute (though not mad on the boys stuff!).
Right, x-factor's on! Night all xxx

essenceofSES · 04/10/2009 21:32

Been quiet on here over the wkend.
IDOB posted earlier on FB that nothing was happening and she was fed up. That was a few hours ago though...

Diege - glad your trip went well. Hard with routines though. You're brave re Christmas but I'm startingto think it might be easiest to host too.

I've been quite down the last few days. Not sure why. Could be growing frustration at our sleeping arrangements, DS not really settling properly, teeth still sometimes catching when feeding...

Watched X Factor. Is Louis mad??!

Sparklytwinkletoes · 04/10/2009 22:05

Evening all, sorry been AWOL for so long! Have been helping DH out at work all week, actually going in to his office and doing the work that is! Amazingly, I feel more 'alive' for it, a good distraction from the approaching due date (39+5 today!!!!)

Had a consultants appt last week, head is still very high so they don't want to do an internal and trigger anything off, in case the head doesn't descend first - risk of cord prolapse etc...so much for having this one early! Now I've got to wait until EDD +9, if nothings happened by then, we'll be booking an elective CS.

I'm sure I won't go that far over though

I'll be going in with DH again tomorrow, though think it will be the last day as we've just about finished all the project documentation now.

Got DH to take some photos of bump today, I wanted a cheesy one of DS with the bump, but apart from attempting to shove pennies and beads into my belly button - there's just no interest there!

Any chance of a catch up from anyone? I see IDOB hasn't popped yet - is there a sweep running for her? Is there one running for me?

Kayzr · 05/10/2009 07:19

Morning,

Had a lovely day at Mums yesterday. Her DP persuaded me to give driving another go as I had given it up and I really enjoyed it.

Work today. I'm going to ask for an extra 4 hours as we are really struggling at the minute because I only work 12 hours so Tax Credits actually class me as not working. Which is really annoying.

STT, Hope it is not to long for you to wait now!!

Morning!

Can't - well done on the weight loss! Hope you're back to 100% soon.

Kay - well done for giving the driving another go. Are you still having lessons? Hope you manage to get your extra hours at work.

Think me feeling low the last few days is predominantly linked to tiredness and have decided that our sleep arrangements need to change. I really don't think it's going to be easy. Started a thread on it yesterday here if anyone's got a spare hour to read my lengthy OP and comment.

Hi all, sorry I haven't been on much but I'm just feeling truly fed up and moody. 40+8 today and still nothing, not a twinge, a niggle or even a really mild cramp. I don't feel any closer to giving birth than I did 6 weeks ago . I may kill the next person to text and ask if the baby is here or even worse suggests I get on with it - I think it would be justified (plus MIL is likely to be first ). Have tried hot curries, pineapple, RLT, long walks and plenty of sex. Nothing is getting this baby moving.

I've decided to say no to an induction on Friday, 40+12 (even though I kind of want this all to be over) but I can still have a home birth until Sunday so I may as well hold out till then. Keep sending labour vibes this way PLEASE.

cantmummyhaveabreak · 05/10/2009 12:52

IDOB- lucky i didn't text this morning then eh!! Vibes coming your way- you've got to have her before friday anyway so i can see some pics before i go on my hols!!

Moosy · 05/10/2009 13:56

IDOB, when are you next seeing the MW?

One more thing to try is nipple stimulation (best if DP helps!), it certainly made me have some contractions when I was overdue with DD2, not sure if it actually helped but it's got to be worth a try if you're at your wits' end!

Diege · 05/10/2009 14:13

Hello! Oh IDOB hang on in there! Agree that you may as well refuse induction for now of you have up to Sunday for hb anyway
CANT, great on the weight loss! Still losing here too though have slowed a bit - x-factor is to blame with all those add breaks (cue tea and biccies )
SES, hope you're ok. Sleep issues certainyl do seem key. On a lighter note I presume you're referring to Louie and the TWINS!!!!! Arghh!! What a pair of idiots!!! and what a waste of a place And you're right too about xmas - will be less work for us to host than to get over to wales and back in one (very long and stressful) day.
KATZ, hope you get work sorted, and well done for enduring with the lessons.
HI STT, good to hear from you, hi MOOS (has coat arrived yet? if not shoulf be any day ).
Right, better get sorted as childminder on hols so have school run/clubs etc to get to.

Moosy · 05/10/2009 15:15

Yes Diege, I was just coming on to say thank you, it has arrived and fits perfectly I shall PP you some money this afternoon

Diege · 05/10/2009 17:20

That's great MOOS,glad you're pleased

tinkisautumnal · 05/10/2009 17:26

i can imagine that u must be very frustrated idob doing a labour dance for your!!
dont u hate it when people text grrrr!!

hi diege

boden have a spend £30 save £10 code now decisions decisions. have seen nice dresses in next for dd2 with long sleeved poppy vests underneath which i would prefer
dont really like putting her in a short sleeved poppy vest then long sleeved top then dress
next is cheaper.
if i did get boden not sure if any of her current tops would go underneath. if i did buy boden would worry about sizing and trousers not staying up!!
next much cheaper

Diege · 05/10/2009 17:45

ooh TINKS could you give me that code please? Sounds like you've talked yourself into Next, though I sense you may go back to Boden for dd2 at some point

tinkisautumnal · 05/10/2009 18:52

yep it is on website

xnht

boden is addictive isnt it ;p

idreamofbeanie · 06/10/2009 06:54

Morning all, I went to Rafi's Spicebox in town yesterday to buy a couple of curry packs - I think Ses might have recommended the place? I made a rogan josh last night and it was fantastic - thanks Ses - but I had awful heartburn all night - urgh.

What is everyone up to today?

essenceofSES · 06/10/2009 07:11

Morning IDOB! Yes - those curry packs are great! We had a rogan josh on Saturday! Tend to stock up on the packs when I'm in York and freeze them.
Hope it helps things progress for you!

DS got really over tired yesterday and just wouldn't settle. He got v v grumpy & grizzly. He managed half an hour on me at about 5.30pm and then half an hour in the cot 11-11.30pm. I then brought him into bed. However DH and I agreed he'd sleep in the spare room so instead of latching DS on whenever he stirred, I tried "sh"ing and he did settle well except for latching on at 2.30 and 4.30. By 5.45am, he'd wriggled about to sleep diagonally across the bed and take up most of it (typical man!) but I'd been able to move away and not have him automatically latch on. He woke up at 6.30 so got up and changed his nappy and sat up and fed him. Just transferred him back into his cot asleep and hoping to get another hour for each of us....
