Hi mummy2t there is a Sept 09 stats thread in the antenatal clubs section, cant link to it for some reason though!

Fingers crossed for tuesday for you Blue x x

Saw MW today and am 3/5 engaged, really feels it now! She said 'this really is all baby isn't it!' yes indeed, blinking sore! She was quite sensible re the measuring though as was 36 cm at 37+5, but she said that as baby is moving downwards obviously the measurements are going to get a little smaller! Makes sense

Hope everyone is doing ok.

TigerFeet · 28/08/2009 22:06

Good luck Bratnav

We'll all have delivered before September starts at this rate

Hi mummy2T

BLue is the homebirth still off even if they can turn the baby? I'm so sorry it isn't going to plan for you

Glad you're OK Steath

Also glad to hear that MrFrosty is home safe and sound. Give him a slap from me.

I'm now all packed and ready to go! I can now remove my head from the sand.

Sorry to hear that hb is out, blue. Fingers crossed for avoiding CS.

Hi mummy2t.

Couldn't get back to sleep after f&^*ing cat decided to explore the wardrobe in a very clattery fashion at 3.05 , so decided to see if I'd missed any announcements while I was out yesterday evening. Cat's now happily asleep on her bed (b!&£h) and DP gently snoring. I had hoped that the broken nights would wait until after LO turns up

BabyLady · 29/08/2009 08:42

Good Luck Bratnav - you are bound to have your LO in your arms by now so I hope it all went well.

Still no news for me...sigh think it is never going to happen. A long walk today will be in order.

Hope everyone else enjoys the nice sunny weekend!

blue76 · 29/08/2009 08:43

Oh no Minshu! I hope you went back to bed!

Ooo Bratnav waiting eagerly for your anouncement.

Blue sorry to hear that baby is breach. Try not to stress the main thing is that they are looking after you love.

Welcome mummy2t.

Minshu · 29/08/2009 10:32

I did, Blue, but not before having a facebook enabled chat with a friend who had just been woken by her dog

Got another 3 kip hours and woke at 8.30. I've just hung out the newborn baby clothes and moses basket bedding - should be dry in no time on this bright and breezy morning. Might have to sob a little. And have an afternoon nap.

Enjoy your walk and may it be fruitful, BabyLady!!

Looking forward to news from bratnav and tlq. Any update on Ladylush and DD, recently? Hope they are all home now.

TrixieVix · 29/08/2009 10:35

Wow - congrats Neddie and MrsC - so pleased everything went well for you both!

Ooh Bratnav...how exciting!!!! Good luck

Well, I officially left work yesterday and am FREE!! Due date is now 17 days away which seems like an eternity, and spend most of my time thinking "is this it?" grrr - nothing yet! I know baby's in the best place at the moment, but my god I want my body back

Hope everyone has a good weekend - will pop back later to (hopefully) hear updates from TLQ and Bratnav.

PS. hope the walk works BabyLady

Hi, I do not know how I have missed this thread for my entire pregnancy , it just never occurred to me to look at the forums I can not immediately see when opening up mumsnet. Wow, there is a whole other world!
Anyway, am in week 37 and have almost read the entire thread.
AM wishing away this pregnancy now, everything is painful, and am utterly fed up with everything and everyone. Am ratty with dh for unknown reason today, so am staying out of earshot, or trying to, otherwise poor man will get an earful from me, even though he let me have a lie in and brought me breakfast in bed. God, I am not as awful as I sound, honest.
Was up last night with umpteen trips to the loo, which would be great sign if I wasn't worried that this lo is breach/transverse. Will hopefully find out next Wednesday, when I am sure that consultant will tell me to have c-section. Not looking forward to it. He is already annoyed with me because I missed my last appointment. Stupid isn't it, makes me feel like a badly behaved child, I am a grown woman fgs, am only having a baby.
Anyway, hope you all are having a good weekend, and the ladies about to meet lo's, good luck!

blue76 · 29/08/2009 13:37

Welcome deeeja You sound pretty much like I feel...dp can't do a thing right - even though he's trying his best, bless him. I found out yday that LO is definitely breech. I've been on all fours with my arse in the air for 15 mins this morning, then I put an ice pack on her head (one of my friends suggested doing this as it worked for her). She has turned a bit and is now transverse, as opposed to 'sitting' with her head under my ribs and bottom in my pelvis. Gonna do 15 mins of bum in air 3 times a day. Go back tuesday for ecv - fewer risks than cs. Hopefully on weds they will tell you that LO is head down! Good luck Tis stressful not knowing what's going on in there, isn't it!?

Hi l

they sent me home last night as delivery suite was too busy. Back in this morning and have had pessary and now having mild contractions.

Hope you're all well x

SprinkleofStardust · 29/08/2009 16:18

Glad you're only having mild contractions if they were too busy Bratnav, hopefully by the time you've sped up a bit they'll have more time for you!!!

So sorry things aren't going to plan Blue, keep that bum up, sending you lots of turning thoughts!!

Welcome mummy2t and Deeja

Well 38 weeks today, absolutely no sign of LO making an appearance, although getting bump ache a lot and the nausea is quite immense, like at the beginnning

Had the dentist today and they've put on a temporary crown, which should be ok if I do go into labour but should get proper one fitted next saturday so ideally be best for LO to stay in there for another week and a day, so frustrating, just want to concentrate on getting him out!!

Don't forget ladies... pelvic floor...

JRocks · 29/08/2009 16:33

Blue76 - I heard something about moxibustion to turn breech babies? Could be a load of crap and I've never tried it, but thought I'd just put it out there....

TrixieBelden · 29/08/2009 16:34

Best of luck this time, bratnav!

Having sporadic extremely painful contractions as I've been walking around yesterday and today. They stop when I lie down (so I went to bed at 9 last night, yay). But bugger, they do hurt. I'm not due for another 12 days and really want this little guy to stay in there till at least Friday, so I can DD started at school. So I foresee a lot of lying down!

daffodilli · 29/08/2009 16:49

Turning vibes to Blue's LO, keeping fingers crossed that when baby is the head down HB will be ok x x

and labour vibes to Bratnav!! Good luck cant wait to hear of LOs arrival!

Welcome to Deeja I only came across this thread as it appeared on active conversations one day! Would not have known where to start otherwise!

Poor you Sprinkle, bump ache really hurts doesn't it. MW says that sickness and diarrhoea at the end is a good sign () as it means the body is getting into expelling mode ready for the birth! Of course, it doesn't exactly feel like it at the time!

Baby is currently headbutting my cervix, (or whatever else is down there!) and IT HURTS! KNUF on a grand scale! ow ow ow!

daffodilli · 29/08/2009 16:52

And 'calming, not ready to come out yet, wait til your big sis is at school' vibes to Trixie's LO!

blue76 · 30/08/2009 07:55

Thank you for your turning vibes ladies

Jrocks - I had heard that moxibustion can work - had a nightmare yday trying to get hold of some mugwort! Will have to wait til this ECV, me thinks.

Hang on in there Trixie!

Bratnav - I hope everythinng went smoothly for you yday and that you are having a cuddle and rest with LO

Finally back. Congrats to the others.

Amy Louise was born Friday 28th at 8.29pm weighing 7lb 8oz.

Long and boring wait. Didn't get first gel until 10pm on the 27th as delivery ward was hammered and another inductee was more urgent than me. No sleep but nothing happened. Second gel at 7am, still not much more than 'tightnings' until 2pm and they manage to stretch me enough to break waters (OUCH). Contractions started with syntocin drip a couple of hours later, I was pretty over it by then. However action was swift. Four hour labour, 14 mins pushing and she was out. No pain, very easy in the end. Feed for an hour straight away and is still going strong. Only complication was the placenta didn't come out so had to be manually removed (don't ask). Thankfully had a very strong epi going so didn't have to go to surgery for it.

Feel great now. Not even that sore, though very swollen down there and a few stitches. Hopefully things continue this well.

nitnat84 · 30/08/2009 09:57

congrats TLQ xx

TrixieBelden · 30/08/2009 09:57

Oh what fabulous news from TheTickListQueen! So glad it went well for you. Lovely name, too. You sound like you're doing great.

LadyStealthPolarBear · 30/08/2009 11:11

Congratulations TLQ

no more news from bratnav?
Sending turning vibes to blue...what is moxibustion???

LadyStealthPolarBear · 30/08/2009 11:13

38+1 and bags finally packed, all bits of car seat found, washed and assembled
Someone tell me the big obvious thing I've forgotten? Until a couple of days ago it was newborn nappies - so this baby would have to be toilet trained from day 1 Last minute items to pack: mobile phone, antenatal notes, fresh food...anything else?
