Congratulations Mrs Chemist!

Bratnav, that's a shame! Not what you planned for. You can still have a gentle positive experience though. Have they given you a date and will they let you try natural methods first (TMI!! Semen is a good cervical stimulant I hear)?

Re pelvic floor. Don't worry ladies, my hypno-midwife says the slacker the better at the moment . She says to do them when you are feeding the baby.

Re names. DP and I can't agree at ALL. We have decided to wait and see what she looks like in the hope she is an obvious 'Mabel' or 'Gertrude' for example.

blinder · 28/08/2009 13:52

ooh Mohair shawls! He has taste even if he is Naughty. Glad he is back safe and sound Frosty.

LadyStealthPolarBear · 28/08/2009 13:56

have been feeling a bit faint and dizzy in the last couple of days so off to PAU to get checked out. Annys me as they could do that at the surgery not too worried but I'll let yoyu know if I come back with a baby

bratnav · 28/08/2009 14:17

Hi all

Sitting on bed in hospital waiting to be induced due to mega high gtt levels. Very excited and nervous, will check in as often as possible.

Minshu · 28/08/2009 14:19

Excellent - DPs anagram name is DEVOID FARTS and potential baby name TO FANATICS MERRILY . I'm JET SHEEPISH ADULTERER, but perhaps shouldn't admit to that .

Glad to hear he's back, SF, even if it is a bit of a sore point.

Hope all is well, Stealth.

I'm definitely more sleepy today. I've just woken from a surprise nap on the sofa. Baby is less sleepy and has been writhing around loads today - feel sea sick if I look at my tummy for too long.

bratnav · 28/08/2009 14:19

Congratulations MrsC

LadyStealthPolarBear · 28/08/2009 14:21

oh good luck bratnav, I'll be thinking about you, and try to update us in between contractions won't you - it's really the least you can do .
Look after yourself and let us know news as soon as you can xx

LadyStealthPolarBear · 28/08/2009 14:22

lol at the anagrams

Minshu · 28/08/2009 14:30

peachygirl · 28/08/2009 15:01

Congratulations Mrs, Chemist great name too.

Mummy2t you are in the right place

Hope evryone elese is OK. I'm off to my parents again. Another atempt to get DH to finish this article he's been faffing with all summer. So a long drive tonight for me and DD.

I am taking my notes and my provisional bag just in case. My mum would have to come to the hospital with me.

But I'm still have ages so I'm looking forward to a wander round in John Lewis. Shame DD doesn't like it as much as me.

Hopefully I'll be back in time for lots of new announcements!!! Good luck everyone.

peachygirl · 28/08/2009 15:04

Good God my spelling!!!

LittleCheese · 28/08/2009 15:19

congratulations mrsc Lovely name. Theo was my favourite boys name but a good friend recently called her baby girl Thea, so that went out of the window.

Good luck Bratnav cant wait to hear your news. Fingers crossed for a straightforward birth.

Welcome mummy2t

Well im just packing a bag to spend weekend at my mums, she only lives 20 mins away so still close enough to hospital should anything happen, and she would be taking me to hospital any way as dh doesnt drive. She is having a big party on saturday which i think is very inconsiderate since i cant drink and what will i do if i go into labour when she is drunk lol, i'll be 39 weeks tomorrow and ss came at 39 weeks so fingers crossed that next time i get online to post I'll have my lovely little bubs.

all take care over the weekend and i cant wait to catch up on everyones news very soon

JRocks · 28/08/2009 15:27

Hope everything's ok Stealth - about the sweep, I think because this baby is quite sizeable and I'm incredibly uncomfortable (am quite small), plus history of pre eclampsia around this stage of pregnancy - I suppose they are as keen as me to see a natural labour and birth get going. I was quite surprised as so many people say they aren't even considered for a sweep until their due date. Bu then I've had so many appointments this time I think they are fed up of me!

Good luck Bratnav too

daffodilli · 28/08/2009 15:56

Hope you are ok Stealth x x

Best of luck Bratnav, thinking of you!

SprinkleofStardust · 28/08/2009 16:20

Good luck Bratnav, thinking of you!!

Hope everything checks out ok Stealth xx

LadyStealthPolarBear · 28/08/2009 17:21

hi everyone, all fine thanks, blood tests to come back either tonight or tomorrow but everything else was OK

JRocks · 28/08/2009 17:54

Glad you're ok, although would have been great to read another birth announcement!

blue76 · 28/08/2009 18:00

Glad to hear you're ok, Stealth

Good luck, Bratnav!

Went to fmu today - scan showed baby fine. Average for fluid and size (6-7lbs full term they reckoned). BUT she is breech. Go back tues for ECV. If that doesn't work, or they can't do it for some reason, then it's cs for me at 39 weeks (13th sept). Was close to tears in the hospital but have calmed down now. Her head's under my ribs and bottom is in my pelvis, but not engaged. Really don't want cs.

Home birth out of the window for me now, so all the equipment they had delivered is just going to continue to sit and stare at me

Sorry to hear that blue76, I hope Tuesday is a success.

mummy2t · 28/08/2009 19:26

glad i am in right place, all very exciting now. i am more than ready for this LO to make and appearance although another 2 weeks cooking would be better. midwife says i am 2/5 engaged and my other 2 were born at 36 and 37 weeks. what do u think chances of this one arriving early are?? they class 2/5 as engaged according to my notes and they say with second/ third plus pregnancies you usually get engaged very near or during labour. kinda panicing abit as i am only 35 plus 5 at mo so was really hoping to get to 37 weeks. maybe i am just getting myslf in a state over nothing. i think because other to arrived early it puts my "due date window" so big.
so when is everyone else due, wish i had found this thread ages ago!! i think i am doing my Dh's head in with all my "What Ifs"

xxxx
