Congratulations Ticklistqueen , welcome to Amy. Eeek at manual removal of the placenta!

Blue, have you seen this site? Spinning Babies. Might have some handy hints for you.

LadyStealthPolarBear · 30/08/2009 16:55

iPod thank you!!
Birth plan is in my notes- might help if I filled it in job for me and DH tonight I think

TigerFeet · 30/08/2009 17:03

I haven't done mine yet either Stealth. Once you've done yours will you post it so I can C&P?

LadyStealthPolarBear · 30/08/2009 17:07

You mean like the plan for going into labour?! (Think I copied you for that one )
Well I'll post a birth plan - just want to hear about the look on your MW face when you turn up with a giant pink cuddly tiger and a helium balloon

JRocks · 30/08/2009 17:07

Stealth - camera? and batteries for it too.

Congratulations TLQ - nice name

blue76, I saw some moxibustion stuff on the first site google linked to, but not sure about mail order being too timely. Do you have a Chinese herbal medicene shop near you?

LadyStealthPolarBear · 30/08/2009 17:09

camera's in thanks. There's going to be a 3 week gap in DS's life with no photos of him
Read about your sweep, thanks, so when's that again?

TigerFeet · 30/08/2009 17:22

helium balloon?? [boggle]

mummyhill · 30/08/2009 17:30

Congratulations TLQ.

LadyStealthPolarBear · 30/08/2009 17:34

you could use it instead of G&A. Don't know if it'd do anything for the pain but it'd make everyone else laugh

TigerFeet · 30/08/2009 17:35

[mmmmmmmmmmmoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo] (but high pitched)

JRocks · 30/08/2009 17:40

at helium mooing!

Sweep is a week on wednesday. Am hoping for something spontaneous before then

LadyStealthPolarBear · 30/08/2009 17:42

Hope you get that JR
anyone considering eating a whole pineapple?
I've heard it would take 7 or 8 to do anything which is too much but I'm willing to eat one over the course of a day!

JRocks · 30/08/2009 17:51

well I was until you said 7 or 8, I'm not willing to spend that much more time on the toilet

tried spicy food last night but no go. Dammit.

I need to go and get some raspberry leaf capsules I think. Went and bought lavender and tea tree oils and arnica today. I'm going to end up with hospital luggage at this rate, never mind a bag...

LadyStealthPolarBear · 30/08/2009 18:09

ooh yes hadn't thought about that, actually maybe that's how it works, same as castor oil, so most fruit would have the same effect, surely?

Thusnelda · 31/08/2009 00:41

I think I spent the last 3 hours catching up...

Congratulations to Ladyem, MrsChemist, Neddie and TheTickListQueen!

I have updated the
September Stats Thread,
I hope I haven't forgotten anybody! There are plenty of people on there though who haven't been posting for ages.

I'm 37 weeks today, so officially at term. Don't think there's going to be anything happening soon though. Baby's head is down but nowhere near engaged yet and it feels like she is still doing summersaults or some other form of extreme exercise.

Thusnelda · 31/08/2009 09:07

Oh, and I've done the anagram thing, it seems to predict how she'll be born!
RAPIDITY IF PERFECT LIE

AprilMeadow · 31/08/2009 09:20

Congratulations TLQ - lovely name and a good weight as well.

Hope all went well Bratnav and that you are now holding your new bundle

TigerFeet · 31/08/2009 09:57

THanks for updating the stats thread Thusnelda, I've just updated my own details and reposted, my due date changed and dd and I have both had a birthday.

Potential name for dd2 returns SCORN IMPEACHABLE FELON

I like yours better Thusnelda!

blue76 · 31/08/2009 10:01

Congrats TLQ

LSP - moxibustion is when you like moxa sticks next to your little toes - supposed to encourage LO to turn

There is a chinese herbalist near me but when I rang her we couldn't understand a word each other was saying

OP posts:
JRocks · 31/08/2009 10:11

'Torpedo chirpy charmers' is potential anagram for a DS, 'perky as rare neat' for DD

SprinkleofStardust · 31/08/2009 10:29

Congratulations TLQ and welcome to the world Amy!!

Not liking the sound of manual removal of the placenta!!!

Daffodilli, I am also having KNUF of extreme proportions, they really aren't pleasant and stop me in my tracks, if I'm out I get some very concerned looks from strangers, lol!!

Ok 13 and a half hours until September so I'm going to crack open the pineapple that's in the fridge and up the intake of RLT...

Tried the other 'natural' way of inducing labour with DH's contribution (nice way to bookend the PG.... well is all I can say really, if you want a laugh give it a go...

Ladyem · 31/08/2009 11:01

ok, just done the anagram thing!!

DD is - CRETINIZE ALERT BABOONISH HEN
DS is - JOY! PHONINESS AND VIBRANT HOOD
DH is - GREMLIN'S JOYOUS BANANA ()
mine is - IS MEMBRANOUS LOONIE (Hmmmm!)

daffodilli · 31/08/2009 12:23

Membranous Loonie and Joyous Banana! Best yet I think

Congrats to TLQ and welcome to little Amy x x

38+1 - cant wait to meet this lo newborn cuddles! ahhh

Nothing happening here, other than the fact it is STILL RAINING, I know it's Wales but still..!!

Anyone completely lost their appetite? Have gone from eating everything I could get my hands on to not wanting anything at all - dont even feel hungry!

LittleCheese · 31/08/2009 16:53

congratulations tlq so pleased for you but very

right this is probably really obvious but....we have just borrowed a tommee tippee electric steam steriliser from friends. I have bought some stuff to descale it but it looks filth and needs a good wash first. Do you think it would be ok to put all the bits in the dishwasher (obviously not the electric bit )

LittleCheese · 31/08/2009 17:45

well my mum has just asked if she can take dd (2.8) on holiday to spain on 4th October for a week. I have of course said yes and now feel rather teary about it all
