hello everyone... well despite bp settling down the other signs all point to pre-eclampsia in the offing.

am now being induced so will update with news soon

good luck saturday racers, fingers crossed for all of us!

blue76 · 12/09/2009 11:07

Looks like you're the in the lead for today, Jrocks! Good luck

Good luck JRocks

I think your list is right Stealth, that's how I've remembered it anyway. Not that that means much [dim]

LadyStealthPolarBear · 12/09/2009 11:46

Good luck JR xx

audreyraines · 12/09/2009 16:27

hi everyone, i seem to be on the sidelines of any race - 40 +3 and counting ... eh well. i'm enjoying the weekend while dh is around, but dreading monday when i actually have to properly look after ds. please don't let me make it to monday. i can hardly move!!

Ladyem · 12/09/2009 17:07

Congratulations peachygirl!! And welcome to Zoe! Beautiful name and so tiny!

Good luck with the induction jr! With any luck you are already having a lovely cuddle with your LO!!

Good luck to all the Saturday racers!! Still 7 hours left, so get bouncing on those birthing balls, drinking lots of RL tea and going for lots of long walks!!

Audrey I'm also dreading Monday as I am on my own with DD and DS for the first time since DS was born ! Not sure how I am going to do it, but I do know that I will still be in my pjs come tea time!!

Minshu · 12/09/2009 18:13

Congratulations, peachy!!

LadyStealth - thanks for the reassurance that the pregnancy lethargy and general inability to do anything will be over "soon" - I'm looking forward to being able to change the bedclothes without having to stop for a breather

Welcome to mat leave, snowfalls - really impressed that you were in so late!

Looking forward to news from the Saturday racers and fingers crossed, Audrey.

I'm sure you'll manage on Monday, Ladyem (although I'm nervous of the prospect of managing with the one, if she ever turns up ).

Had a lovely time with the girls last night - a few people couldn't make it, which made it a more "intimate" evening, perfect for someone in "my condition" - and now there's far too much food left [oink]. DP and I have just spent the afternoon on the beach - he even went for a swim! Good job it's due to be cloudy tomorrow, we could do with going furniture shopping.

SprinkleofStardust · 12/09/2009 18:18

Hi Saturday racers, although none of us seem to be doing very well do we??? JRocks has come in as an outsider... Good luck JR!!

Well, I was thoroughly miserable yesterday, felt a bit better today although extremely tired now. After my sweep yesterday and a bit of nookie this morning I have had my show but... nothing since

Does anyone have any idea how long it could take for things to start moving or could it still not? I'm trying to just relax about it all, but everyone else around me has got ridiculously excited, really wish I hadn't told anyone.

Minshu · 12/09/2009 18:27

No idea, SoS, hope things get moving.

I'm telling everyone who asks (or dares to express an opinion) that the obstetrician reckons I'll go over by a couple of weeks. Not strictly true (OK - a bit of a porkie), but it does stop people getting so involved, iyswim, and it's stopping me from working myself up anymore. Easy for me to say right now, as my EDD is still 10 days away.

SprinkleofStardust · 12/09/2009 18:30

That sounds like a great plan Minshu, wish I had done something similar, I've constantly got people 'predicting' when I'll go into labour and then when I mention it more than once I get told to 'calm down and relax about it all, he'll come when he's ready' AAARRRGGGHHH... I'm feeling a tad frustrated!! Sorry

JRocks · 13/09/2009 06:05

morning all

baby boy rocks born at 2248 yesterday, will be back with tales soon, thanks for all your good wishes x

audreyraines · 13/09/2009 06:49

congrats JRocks, hope all went well for you both.

SOS, sorry to say, I lost clear mucus plug over 2 weeks ago, and then a bit more last week and still nothing! i think the story might be different if it is blood tinged though, means something more significant than just the mucousy one.

blue76 · 13/09/2009 08:08

Congrats Jrocks! I hope you're both well x

SOS - I hope this helps - I had shows [with a kind of little vein running through them] with both DDs. When I had the show with DD1, I panicked and phoned labour ward. Was told they'd be seeing me within 24-48 hrs as that was my plug. With both DDs I went into labour within 12 hrs of 'bloody' show.
Might be worth ringing lw if you haven't already - just to let em know and they may tell you different to what I was told, iyswim. Good luck

congratulations JRocks.

TrixieBelden · 13/09/2009 10:13

Congratulations peachygirl and JRocks! So exciting! Glad the preeclampsia was resolved quickly.

LJ29 I had a sweep on Thursday (when I was 40w) and have also had a continuous pink/red/brown show (sorry, TMI) since. Lovely.

Am still covered (well, my hands, arms, chest, neck, and face are) in hives and rapidly losing my will to live. The cx I was having on Thursday slowed right down, and tbh with the excruciating itching I'd kind of forgotten I was pg. The antihistamines and creams I've been given aren't making much of a difference so I've just been trying to stay distracted/not cry in between oatmeal baths. Had a couple of cx early this morning and then again in the last hour, which jolted me back to reality. Regardless, tomorrow I'm going in and begging to be induced so the doctors can then give me something stronger to combat these revolting HIVES. Sorry, to be so moany but I really am losing my mind over here.

LadyStealthPolarBear · 13/09/2009 10:17

Congratulations JR

LadyStealthPolarBear · 13/09/2009 10:19

SoS I know what you mean about people practically demanding a date from you (yes, I mean you mother) and then when you show any emotion about it you get told to calm down!!
Trixie that sounds awful, never had hives but I remember how bad DH's were and he wasn't heavily pregnant and not able to take anything Hope you can get something sorted soon.

Ladyem · 13/09/2009 10:31

Congratulations JRocks!!! Pleased it all went well and nice and quickly, too! Look forward to all the details later!

Trixie Sorry to hear you are feeling so pants. Hope they agree to your induction and sort out your hives tomorrow!

Snowfalls108 · 13/09/2009 10:50

Congratulations JRocks.
Trixie - that sounds horrible. When is your EDD?

My EDD today! Can't believe it's finally here. I had 6 people contact me yesterday to find out if the baby had arrived, wonder how many it will be today!

Got a sweep booked in for tomorrow, so hopefully that will the job. I haven't been able to sleep.

It's like waiting for the biggest Christmas ever!

Hope everyone is well.

bigbang · 13/09/2009 11:24

Congratulations JRocks! Look forward to the birth story!

Well I am still pregnant. Cx were 10 mins apart by lunchtime yesterday, then tailed off to every 30, then nothing overnight. This is exactly what happened with ds, on and off and nothing real happening, its the pitts. EDD is tomorrow, mw on weds, will be demanding a sweep if the baby isn't here by then, I can't take another two weeks of start stop cx. Its just so flipping frustrating, painful and pointless, or so it feels anyway.

I'm sorry you are suffering Trixe, it sounds awful I hope something helps soon, or that they can induce you asap.
