Aww Frosty huge hugs love crutches can be a nightmare I know I have been using them for about 9 weeks now. Still 2 more weeks to go and baby not allowed to make an appearance today cause I selfishly do not want to share my Birthday lol.

Congratulations to Daffodilli and Bexaa, Welcome to the world Archie and Charlie.

Hiya all

Congrats to all those with new arrivals Good luck to all those overdue hope it happens for you soon

I havent been on much lately as ive been resting, i was sent into hosp on tuesday, after my bp started playing up at my appointment with the consulant.

It started at 140/100 which concerned them, 5mins later it was 160/104 so they phoned for an ambulance to take me in for obs with a poss chance of emerg c-sec, while in the ambulance it went up to 170/114 which scared the crap out of me but then while under obs it slowly started to lower so thankfully was sent home after about 5hrs

I've got 10days left until my c-sec so here's to hoping for no more drama until then

TrixieBelden · 06/09/2009 14:44

Hurray for new babies!! Sorry about your tear, bexaa -- been there, it's no fun.

Contracting all over the place here, but still irregularly. BORING NOW.

JRocks · 06/09/2009 14:55

Congratulations bexaa and daffodilli!

Still grumping about contracting and cramping, went for a swim this morning but nothing seems to want to happen.

Am heartily sick of the 'have you got two in there?!' comments. I may rip someone's head off before this baby is born...

Ahem, sorry for unnecessary rage, maybe I need to take some calming breaths!!

bexaa, good advice! going to have some curry tonight, and maybe even dh will get lucky (although he might not consider himself 'lucky' given i'm the size of a large house!)

Congratulations to Daffodilli and Bexaa

I have now officially Had Enough. I'm not due for another 6 days but I'm tired of being up the duff now. I suddenly seem to be tired, achy, in pain and nauseous. All the time. I suppose it's nature's way of making sure that we won't dread labour too much

Snowfalls108 · 06/09/2009 18:53

Raspberry tea, clary sage oil, bouncing on ball, homeopathic remdies, sex, curries, evening primrose oil, trying them all. Not a budge at the moment.

Congratulations to Bexaa. Ouch!

AprilMeadow · 06/09/2009 19:09

TigerFeet, that is exactly how i feel today! Roll on next week that's all i can say.

RL Tablets, bouncing ball and clary sage oil in bath have been tried here so far and nothing has come of it.

Minshu · 06/09/2009 19:28

Congratulations Bexaa and Daffodilli!!

Happy Birthday, Mummyhill Hope you've had a fab day after this last week!

MGC - no wonder your BP was rising while all that was going on! Glad that you're back now.

I've had some excellent news today - DP and I had a trial run to check we know where we're going now that I've been told that I'll have to deliver at a major hospital. While we were there, the staff decided it would be no trouble to show us round, in spite of it being their lunch time, and a lovely midwife offered to check the position the baby was now in. She reckons that LO'ds head is now in the right place, and 2/5 engaged and she'd be surprised if she came out again. So, with any luck I'll be able to deliver at the local mw unit after all. Hoping to speak to obstetrician tomorrow and have regular 38 week mw appt on Thursday, so will know for sure by then. Good baby!!

bigbang · 06/09/2009 19:37

Congratulations babylady, bexaa and daffodilli! So many babies now!

Glad the baby has moved minshu

blinder · 06/09/2009 19:37

happy birthday mummyhill!!

TigerFeet · 06/09/2009 20:14

Great news Minshu

Happy birthday Mummyhill

I am soothing my aches and pains with cheese sandwiches.

bigbang · 06/09/2009 20:53

Ooo me too tigerfeet, I just had one for dinner. Also had one for lunch today

TigerFeet · 06/09/2009 20:56

Oh hurrah! A fellow cheese butty fan! I can feel my arteries clogging up. I went through a bacon butty phase but I seem to be leaning towards the cheesy end of the sandwich spectrum these days. And there must be piccalilli.

AprilMeadow · 06/09/2009 21:00

I am still in the bacon butty phase, although i have got a 'thing' for bacon & cheese butty's - very yummy.

Happy birthday mummyhill, hope you had a lovely day

Good news on baby moving Minshu

BabyLady · 06/09/2009 21:02

Hi all, have had a quick flick through the posts and can I say a huge congratulations to Daffodilli and Bexxa. Welcome to your little ones. I am in awe at the gas and air only experience! Happy Birthday to you Mummyhill.

Things here going pretty well. Milk in and breastfeeding seems ok so far apart from sore nipples when he latches on. First night home from the hospital was a nightmare though with no sleep to speak of. Think he was probably just hungry and had fed a lot and ended up with a sore tummy. Had a better night last night, but had a to resort to a dummy at one point (which he couldn't keep in his mouth but loved). The dummy did seem to calm him down and managed to placate him until the next feed. He then went for almost 4 hours which was great. We were all woken up by the midwife arriving at 9 o'cklock this morning. All fine with midwife and Toby back up to birth weight already. Little piglet!

Sorry this is a bit of a me post. Hope everyone waiting is keeping as comfortable as they can. I am sending good birth vibes to you all.

Minshu · 06/09/2009 22:15

Glad to hear your news, BabyLady. Excellent that Toby's back up to birthweight already.

I've been trying to wean myself off cheese on toast for every other meal Just had a lovely roast lamb dinner.

LittleCheese · 06/09/2009 23:28

Hi Ladies

Hope you are all well, I am miserable and only ever come on here to moan any more

Is anyone else bored? Dh and I were discussing this evening that even though our day to day life is much the same, on an evening we do the same as we have always done the last week or so we have both become very bored with life. We have put it down to the fact that everything just feels like a bit of a waiting game now. Whatever we are doing the thought of bubs arriving is always on our minds.

Tomorrow is my first day since leaving work that I will be on my own, DH is working and DD is at nursery. Rather than relishing the thought I'm dreading it. What on earth am I going to do all day to stop myself going insane.

Also I can no longer put up with all the texts and emails from people asking if there is any "movement", "twinges", "have you really got no feelings that things are happening" etc..

I have had enough of everyone and they are all getting ignored. Its my birthday on Wednesday and I cant even look forward to it.

And having just read this back I feel even more miserable at the amount of self pity I am wallowing in LOL

elkiedee · 06/09/2009 23:41

Hi just gatecrashing to stalk LadyStealthPolarBear and AprilMeadow(we all had spring 2007 babies) so as to see if there's any news! Congratulations on arrivals and wishes for the birth experience you want to everyone waiting.

TrixieBelden · 07/09/2009 07:21

Oooh, LittleCheese! Good luck!

No sign of baby here, so I have no choice but to go to my first PTA coffee morning at DD's school. Bugger.

blue76 · 07/09/2009 07:37
