no idea but don't see why not if it's all plastic - maybe look on their website.
Your DD will love it, as will your parents!
SoS I've been eyeing up the pineapple but decided to leave it another week!
daffodilli - nope, no loss of appetite, would still eat a horse here if suitable for vegetarians and would stand still long enough!

LJ29 · 31/08/2009 19:24

38+2 today. Have been eating pineapple, taking raspberry leaf tea and evening primrose oil, have bathed in clary sage, hoovered upstairs, and bounced on gym ball. Apart from sex which I really don't fancy can't think of anything else to try!

Congrats to those who have popped!

LittleCheese · 31/08/2009 20:14

lj i too have had pineapple, two whole ones actually (not in one sitting though). Ive had a hottish curry, raspberry leaf tea and evening primrose. Went for a nice long walk today and felt rubbish at the end of it.

I sound desperate to get this baby out lol but much to dh's dismay I really don't fancy sex either.

TrixieVix · 31/08/2009 20:59

I can't get enough...is there something wrong with me?? It's all subconscious though - we go to bed (after DH gives me my well deserved back tickles for 20 mins...) and once we're asleep, something weird happens (and more than 3 times a week in general) and I end up pouncing on DH!

Poor bloke grabs it with both hands as he knows I'm not up for it when I'm awake...maybe I subconsciously think it'll get the baby out quicker? I can't think of any other logical reason why I'm so randy at 38 weeks pregnant?!!! Very odd indeed {grin]

Anyway, am doing all I can to get this baby out (well, when I say all I can, that's not strictly true...I've not started on the RLT or eaten pineapple or curry!!) but am hoping that thinking labour thoughts will be just as conducive...not so far

So pleased there are more babies appearing on this thread - welcome to baby Amy

Hoping everyone's had a lovely BH weekend....wonder how Bratnav is getting on??

bratnav · 31/08/2009 21:09

Hi all. Very quick birth announcement.

Reuben was born on Sunday 30th at 21.49 after 36 very faffy being induced hours. He weighs 9lb 12oz and is feeding like a trooper.

bexaa i think so but im not an expert as havent had one this pregnancy and didnt with dd

SprinkleofStardust · 31/08/2009 22:36

Bexaa, I don't know either I'm afraid, I've not had anything yet and it's my first so have nothing to go off!!

LittleCheese, really hope this is it for you!! Good luck xx

The sex was so ridiculous for us that if giggling could have induced labour that would have been more likely!!

Well it's September in an hour and a half so let's get these babies out of us, I've just eaten half a pineapple

blinder · 31/08/2009 22:57

bexaa yes that sounds like a show. Mine was totally without colour last time. my son arrived a few hours after it, but lots of people wait days so best advice is to take it as it comes I think.

congrats bratnav - wow at the weight! - and welcome Reuben. I love that name.

Littlecheese - excited for you!

JRocks · 31/08/2009 23:46

just posting quickly from ante natal ward, have been having contractions 10mins apart so they have decided to keep me in and see how i go

not very proficient with this bedside tinternet malarkey!

congrats bratnav!

blinder · 01/09/2009 00:04

gosh its really kicking off. Maybe some babies to share my birthday tomorrow . Good luck birthing women!

No sign of my little wriggler though...

AprilMeadow · 01/09/2009 07:28

Happy Birthday Blinder

Congratualtions to Bratnav - lovely name and wow at the weight

Fingers crossed for LittleCheese & JRocks

Bexaa ditto what the other ladies have said.

YAY ITS SEPTEMBER!!!!

audreyraines · 01/09/2009 07:58

Congrats Bratnav! wonderful news.

Bexaa, Ihad the same a week ago, it's the mucus plug. I'm stillnot in labour though! From what I understand, when it's blood tinged its more likely to go into labour soon, but with a clear mucus plug, there's just no telling. Could be hours or weeks!

LittleCheese · 01/09/2009 08:18

happy birthday blinder

hope all you ladies are doing well

I have my fingers crossed for you jrocks.

Well as you can see I am still here and i still have no baby

Contractions started last night around 5pm every 10 mins for a couple of hours then quite irregular until 8 (i was playing with dd putting her to bed and having a bath which is why i think they were a bit irratic)

Then at around 8 they were every 5-6 mins and so strong I couldnt speak through them, I always intended to stay at home as long as possible so didnt call the hospital just stayed active drunk lots and stayed up right. At midnight they were coming every 4 mins but no stronger than before so we carried on timing till about 2am when we decided to call hospital.

We were waiting for 1 more before we called and it never came they just stopped dead like that. I must now be the most frustrated women in the world. I really thought I would have my baby today and I feel a little cheated.

Dh is off work today so going to have a long walk when he gets back from dropping DD at nursery and might have to have a curry today too lol

Sorry for long miserable post hope you are all well

audreyraines · 01/09/2009 08:23

Little Cheese, that's unbelievable, here's hoping for a quick one today. xx

LadyStealthPolarBear · 01/09/2009 08:27

Oh LittleCheese Hope they come back quickly

blue76 · 01/09/2009 08:32

Congrats Bratnav - love the name

Fingers crossed for Littlecheese and Jrocks - I hope it wasn't a false alarm!

Bexaa - I had a couple of rather big mucus plugs a couple of weeks ago. Neither had blood in them, but mw said they might or might not be a 'show'. Just a matter of waiting and seeing what happens...nothing did, which I'm glad about as I was only 36 weeks.

God I am SO nervous. Hardly slept a wink. Partly panicking about ECV this afternoon and worried about telling my boss I'll only be in for inset days this weds, thurs and fri, rather than the 2 WEEKS he wanted me to go back for. Somehow don't think I can carry on working in a huge secondary school right up until due date

blue76 · 01/09/2009 08:38

Oh Littlecheese, what a pain! Hey, tell you something mw said again (can't you tell I ask a stupid amount of questions). I told her I have BH every night for around 2 hrs and she said, 'Ooh you'll be having a nice, easy and fast delivery! The more contractions, the better!' Must be so frustrating for you, though. Here's hoping for a QUICKIE birth!

TigerFeet · 01/09/2009 08:45

Congratulations Bratnav and welcome Reuben

Oh LittleCheese, poor you, how disappointing . I had similar with dd, only I actually made it to hospital before they stopped. A couple of days later it all kicked off properly. I hope you aren't waiting too much longer.

Good luck JRocks

Happy birthday Blinder

It's SEPTEMBER !!!

This baby has to stay put until next Wednesday. We are having a new carpet laid in dd's room on Tuesday then her new furniture can go in, and I can get the baby's stuff put away properly. I'm willing myself into going overdue aren't I

mummyhill · 01/09/2009 08:50

Congrats Bratnav.

Happy Birthday Blinder.

Huge hugs and positive thoughts to those who are having pains etc.

I am having a great morning lol. EDD - 18 days. What a morning. Have been awake since 2 this morning. Was just sitting eating breakfast and the wall unit in the kitchen fell off the wall taking my crockery stand with it. Smashed plates, dishes, mugs and glass everywhere! Kids a...nd I sat in shocked silence, then kids burst into tears. Dad has popped down and moved the cupboard I now need to clear all the mess! Could of been worse, 5 mins earlier and it would of hit me as I did cereal for the kids and made myself a cuppa!

Gonnabamumma · 01/09/2009 08:59

My goodness Mummyhill - luck escape, hope you are over the shock!

Cogratulations Bratnav - lovely name too!

Good luck JRocks and thinking of you littlecheese

Had a lovely BH - went for a 5 mile walk yesterday in the Chiltern hills with my Mum, DH and dog - was roasting and got a bit burnt but was lovely to be out in the fresh air. Thought it might give baby ideas, but not so much as a sniff of a contraction. I know I am not due for another 15 days, but I want to get on with it maybe a bit selfish I know. So far have taken a shedload of RLT tabs, had a fair bit of sex , bounced on my swiss ball till my legs ached. (s)he isn't going to come early - am just going to have to chill I think.

Am very excited it is September today YAY!

Minshu · 01/09/2009 09:29

Been away for family stuff over BH, so have missed out on all the news. Good time was had by all (especially when DP landed on his botty in the mud while playing footie with a nephew ).

Congratulations, TLQ!! I'm holding onto your words "no pain" and "feed for an hour straight away".

And congratulations, Bratnav!!

Was being advised to start on the pineapple and up the RLT by DP's SILs over the weekend. 37 weeks today

Daffodilli - wish my appetite would calm a bit. I've been steadily putting on 1 to 2 lb a week for a while now, then suddenly 4 lb over this last week! Have noticed puffiness in the hands for just about the first time (I know - very lucky), so some is probably water retention, but still...

Glad it's not just me that doesn't feel much like sex at the moment. DP says he doesn't mind, but I feel quite bad about it. He would rather I was like some of you randier ladies, I'm sure It's not as though we're likely to be back into the swing of things as soon as the bump's gone down...

Happy Birthday, Blinder!! Can I ask how the dissertation went?

Glad everyone was ok, mummyhill - sounds really frightening.

Fingers crossed for JRocks and for some further movement, LittleCheese.
