Jennylee · 07/09/2009 08:30

Hi I'm 5 weeks with unplanned dc3, got bfp on friday dh unhappy then happy saturday, so was looking at tandem buggies, get home from visiting my friend on sunday and it s all off again, he can't cope with three. he wants me to get a termination consultation.

thats not going to happen so im here on this thread. I can't tell anyone in real life my parents will be pissy, and my poor best friend just miscarried at 8 weeks so can't talk to her I know for a fact she would be furious as I was'nt even trying.

congrats to all. I'm due start of may and have a 13 month old and a 10 year old already.

Kaylo · 07/09/2009 08:42

Hi Jennylee poor you having so much to cope with at the moment (((hugs)))

Is it possible your DH is just worried and therefore unable to offer more support (we all know men can't multi-task )
My DH had much the same reaction when I told him I wanted a 3rd baby last year. Money, stress, space, work, family were the main reasons for his concern, but he came around knowing we would always be ok!! And lo and behold - y'day he was more excited than me! I'm still not excited really, it's too early, anyway I'm rambling on......

We'll all be here for you and it's somewhere you can vent knowing you'll get support and advice from us all

How old are your DC's? Mine are Sophie 4yo and Rio 3yo.

Take Care hun - xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Kaylo · 07/09/2009 08:43

aaah never mind about the age of DC's thing, just re-read the last bit of your post lol.

Silly me!

Divvy · 07/09/2009 08:45

sweetkitty I have been on a few buses!

Welcome to the new BFP's

I feel a sicky this morning!

Jennylee · 07/09/2009 08:55

thanks kaylo, I hope will be fine, his reason are 13 month old and small 2 bed house, so not too bad I hope to overcome.

carikube8 · 07/09/2009 08:56

I'm feeling a bit grim today and DD has started waking at 6am screaming which isn't ideal. Also have MIL staying which always makes me a bit grumpy before I even start...

DH v happy about this pg as we had said we wanted another and as we had only just started ttc he now thinks he's some sort of super stud . However he also wants me to go back from ML so that I can try and get ML for #2 - don't have any idea how that works though.

Kaylo · 07/09/2009 09:20

no problem Jennylee - I hope you manage to work everything out

Carikube Both my dc's are up at 6 monst mornings, much to my dismay. I'd love to sleep in, just til 7 or 8am - esepcially now.

I think you should still be entitled to ML anyway due to you being employed by them over the qualifying amount of time, dependent on when you went back tho depends on what they would pay you I guess, it's 90% of what you earn isn't it? Or has it changed?
Maybe have a word with your employer? They should be able to explain in more detail.

xxxxxxx

memorylapse · 07/09/2009 09:49

congrats to everyone who has joined with BFP's

EPU phoned this morning and they want me to have a repeat scan in a week and a follow HCG tomorrow..so am a little nervous now that the follow up doesnt double..woke up feeling very tired and groggy today and I have a funny taste in my mouth..like Ive been smoking!..no sickness yet..not even a hint of nausea.

Im going to cancel tomorrows midwifes appt because I just feel that its a bit too early to go..

carikube8 · 07/09/2009 10:38

Thanks Kayto - once we've got through the 12-week scan I'll start having a discreet word with work to find out what my options are so we can decide what to do. The thought of going back to work at that stage of pg doesn't appeal!

LuckyC · 07/09/2009 11:36

Hi all and welcome and congrats to new May listers.

First-timer confession #1:
This week I WILL STOP doing tests. They are all positive. And I have spent like 25 quid. (Did one especially for DH - the Clearblue that actually spells out PREGNANT - but had to wake him up and do it at 5am as needed to pee so badly.)

So, it's real!

slipperthief · 07/09/2009 12:59

OMG, I'm in too! Still in a bit of a state of shock. DS will be over the moon when we decide to tell him.

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 07/09/2009 13:33

Hello, tentatively adding myself to this thread as I only just found out I'm pregnant last night and it's still early. I used ovulation sticks so I know that I ovulated and did the wild thing exactly 2 weeks ago so not sure how far gone that would make me! I have a doctors appointment tomorrow so maybe he can tell me. Still can't believe I got pregnant the first month of ttc!

I already have a little boy who is two so looking forward to giving him a baby brother or sister!

motherbeyond · 07/09/2009 13:46

hi everyone, saw the doc this morning and im due to have my 3 rd baby end of april/early may..yay!congrats to you all

memorylapse · 07/09/2009 14:25

LuckyC..I think the poas becomes almost addictive..Ive still been doing the odd pregnancy test using the ebay cheapies despite having had my hcg tested!..very satisfying to see the line now appearing almost instantly...speaking of hcg levels..I have started feeling vaguely nauseas today..had my breakfast but felt hungry just half an hour later..have just had lunch, but still have that gnawing hungry feeling that makes you feel a little bit sick
Ive cancelled my midwifes appt for tomorrow because I would rather wait until I have the scan next monday..so have re sheduled for next tuesday when Ill be 6-7 weeks, so probably better

sweetkitty · 07/09/2009 15:20

luckyC - I'm another POAS addict, so far I am up to 13 ebay cheapies, one Tesco, one Boots and 3 CBDs so thats 18 in total

My first CBD I did din't work at all so I phoned them up and they sent me a new test, did it this morning Pregnant 3+ weeks so quite happy

congratulations to "motherbeyond* JamesandtheGiantBanana" and slipperthief* memorylapse - dare I say it's looking good for you, I know you wont' be happy until you feel the LO kicking your ribs either

jennylee - don't know what to say to you, I hope your DH comes round, men can be funny creatures as we all know, I don't think they have the same protective love as we do from the minute we see that Pregnant, he may be just worried about the financial side of things, hope it all works out for you soon

samandsophsmam - sounds like a positive to me congratulations

Right off to do some housework x

Kaystar · 07/09/2009 15:54

Wrote out a longer post, but then the laptop crashed and I lost it - grrrr...

I hope it all goes well for you memorylapse, I'm new to all this, so all I can do is send some {{{hugs}}} and wish you the best of luck.

Started to feel some nausea over the weekend, especially when I woke. But have found that as long as I am eating or have just eaten I can keep it at bay

Am also developing a POAS obsession - done three tests so far and have a fourth waiting for me - just in case I feel I need it!

Nice to see how large the May 2010 group is growing

Meanbeansmum · 07/09/2009 18:56

Jennylee · 07/09/2009 19:10

Hi all, hope I did that correctly?!

I am due May 13th, a day after our wedding anniversary!

We have a 20 month DD. I really am not sure how I will cope with pregnancy and highly active toddler but we were ttc and I am very excited!

I told my husband and DD (who kissed my tummy). I dont think she really understands.

My mum guessed at the weekend so told her and my dad. I feel like I want to tell everyone but am resisting as is such early days. Have told 2 friends too.

Am feeling ok but very tired. I work 3 days a week (DD in nursery then). Had to have a cat nap before collecting her today

pamelat · 07/09/2009 20:13

oops. Just realised the dates were in date order, sorry.

I also have a funny taste, a bit like smoking or having drank coffee (both of which I hate) in my mouth.

I've put myself on the list but I got the EDD from mumsnet's due date calculator, so might need to amend it if it's wrong. Pamelat I popped you in at the 13th!

Anyone else got really sore boobs already?

carikube8 · 07/09/2009 21:41

Worringly enough, I feel remarkably fine - was nauseous a few days ago but now not really showing any symptoms (apart from tiredness but I think that's more due to DD than pg!) so I just hope everything is ok. I didn't keep a diary last time round so can't remember if this is how it was then as well....

sheepgomeep · 07/09/2009 22:25

I'm due May 10th!!! Sore boobs have already started, and I was sick this morning

sheepgomeep · 07/09/2009 22:28

I used the cheap 2 for 99 pence from Home Bargains. They give you the same result and are just as accurate, they just don't look as 'pretty'
