Kaylo · 06/09/2009 09:39

Hi guys - I'm a bit tentative about joining, I got a BFP 1-2wks on CB this morning, AF not die til 10th so I'm very early on.

I'm thrilled but stunned/shocked - it was just the first cycle of TTC baby#3.

Sending sticky vibes to all, xxxxxxxxx

memorylapse · 06/09/2009 10:40

Sheepgomeep-congrats..you will be fine, we have 4 and are expecting number 5..you know me as a different name but I havent been onto mn for ages and forgot my log on, but hopefully if all goes well..I shall say who I am

Meanbeansmum · 06/09/2009 15:11

Hi, congrats to the newbies, have a happy and healthy 8 months.

I was looking at my old pg diary, my sickneess kicks in at 5 weeks, by 6 weeks I'll be puking 5 times a day!!! Oh lordy!

Sod my diet I am eating while I still enjoy it...I guess I have 7-10 days of feeling ok left lol! Hugs to all those who have sickness already. ((hugs)), it's a good sign.

I can't even go there on the twins issue, dh has a friend, he's a tv psychic....he said he's inclined to say it's twins, boy and a girl, he said either that or it's on my mind but there will be 5 babies in total not 4.......................... I wouldn't have taken any notice but he knew my girl name.....and gave me an interesting boys name!!!!!!!

Off to weep in a corner for a little bit................

pigleychez · 06/09/2009 15:44

Pigley In answer to your question on the 2ww/testing thread my dd is 4yo and my ds is 3yo. I wanted to avoid a double pushchair this time around

Hope everyone's well - I'm not looking forward to morning sickness at all - thats the next thing isn't it??? but not with envy!!!

Kaylo · 06/09/2009 18:29

According to BBC's pregnancy calculator I'll be due around 20th May xx

carikube8 · 06/09/2009 19:15

Is it just me or do you get different EDD results on MN versus everywhere else? MN tells me I'm due May 10th but BBC/NHS Direct/babyworld tell me May 12th.
Guess I'll just have to wait for the dating scan to get a better idea.
Congrats to everyone else!

Kaylo · 06/09/2009 19:17

Carikube8 I find the MN one always calculates based on a 28day cycle no matter whether you change it or not. Mines 29days which is the only reason I noticed, hope this helps

FarahS · 06/09/2009 19:32

Welcome to everyone new and congratulations!!

Any news yet Memorylapse? Hoping everything is well with you!! xx

I'm still feeling sick as ever. Been sick few times as well. It's not very nice and the bad thing is that it's started affecting my blood sugar as well now. Had a bit of a scare yesterday when my blood sugar dropped really low! I did expect it to happen sooner or later with my condition and the fact I'm not eating normally now with the nausea. Hoping to see a consultant about this as soon as possible and hopefully will get an early scan as well. I don't know if it can affect the growth of the baby already this early. Hopefully not.

We've got our first MW appointment on Tuesday. Exciting!!! And always feels nice to get more weeks.. Now 6+1.

memorylapse · 06/09/2009 19:59

Farah..maybe mention to the midwife about your blood sugar levels as I think you probably need to be reveiwed asap..only because its you that will feel rotten if your sugra levels drop..Im sure bean is happy as larry

the hospital have just phoned...my hcg levels have gone from 1700 to 3600 in 48 hours, so they have doubled..as they should..am just waiting to hear from the registrar as to whether they will want to do a follow up scan.

I just dont understand why I dont feel sick..with dd2 my hcg was 2000 and I felt horrific at 5weeks..was chucking up daily

Jan9ne · 06/09/2009 21:06

Hi there,
Good to see so many new people! Congrats everyone!
I still don't really have any symptoms - just tiredness....

sheepgomeep · 06/09/2009 23:25

My EDD is 10 may, altthough this may change.
I have been feeling sick even before I found out I was pg but it's not that bad yet. I've had backache though but thats not unusual.

I know this is my 4th and its normal to have a booking in appt around 12/13 weeks (here anyway but is it worth going to see the mw this week because I know I'm entitled to healthy Start vouchers (get them for dd2) Also I'm o rhesus neg and dd2 was o positive so a little worried about this.

memorylapse hope everythings ok.

ForcesSweetheart · 06/09/2009 23:32

Welcome newbies. Sorry I haven't got time to do a more personal post to people, but DH is away on exercise and I'm on my own with DD feeling like all I wanna do is sleep so not had much time online.

TheHappyCamper · 07/09/2009 07:21

hi to all the newbies - hope you are all excited!

No symptoms here at 4+2 - going by dd pregnancy I reckon I've got about 10 days left before I start throwing up - am eating lots of lovely stuff while I can eg. bacon, fish and chips!

Back to work today after ML - although tired as dd woke at 2am and 6am!

memorylapse - very pleased that hcg gone up so much

farah - sorry you are so sick already

I'm going to hold off going to dr's for a few weeks as I found the 9 months took forever last time - might go at 8/9 weeks - fingers crossed I get there

samandsophsmam · 07/09/2009 07:37

Hi All,
Just got the faintest of BFP this morning. I have been testing tooooo much. Weird thing is Clearblue digital the other day said negative but the day before first response was positive. Am very confused as today I used a cheap brand and got a faint line. Very early as on 4+? weeks today I think. Due 9th May. My periods all over the place so not sure!

This will be my 3rd baby I have DD1- 2.11 and DD2- 1.6.

Really happy I think- only started trying this month though so wasn't expecting such a quick BFP! Been getting lots of pain and some spotting but not red. I was reading about implantation bleeding but never had with the others?

Kaylo · 07/09/2009 07:38

Hi everyone - hope everyone is well and not too sick!

HappyCamper I'm with you on the enjoying all the lovely food that we'll probably be avoiding like the plague in a week or so.
I can't remember when my sickness started with dd and ds - it's been nearly 4yrs since I was last pregnant and it feels like a distant memory now.

Having loads of low abdomen achy sensations today and tummy doing somersaults - maybe sickness is closer than I thought

When is everyone telling friends and employers?

xxxxxxxxxxxx

Kaylo · 07/09/2009 07:42

Ooops, x-posted with you SamandSophsmam CONGRATULATIONS, sounds like a +ve result to me, when was your AF due? I got my BFP y'day on CB conception indicator, but my AF not due til Thursday 10th.

WELCOME TO THE MAY THREAD

samandsophsmam · 07/09/2009 07:56

I do not really have a regular cycle so not too sure when AF is due.

All so confusing................
Don't think I would get false positive though??

carikube8 · 07/09/2009 08:05

Kaylo - Thanks for the info re MN due date calculator. I guess this means that I'm due May 12th then. As I have to take DD to the GP this week I may well kill two birds with one stone and tell him about the pg at the same time.

We won't tell anyone til after the 12-week scan and I have no idea when I'll tell work - my ML with DD is due to end when I'll be 34 weeks pg (eek!) so not entirely sure how we'll deal with this one....

Kaylo · 07/09/2009 08:05

Definitely agree with you there - it's somewhere near impossible to get a false positive - there has to be some hormone there or would just be a negative result, I think?

lol

xxxxx

Kaylo · 07/09/2009 08:09

Ooooh, carikube that sounds like a bit of a fix We've told out parents and siblings but thats only because they knew we were TTC. Plus there will be people to lean on for support if (god forbid) anything goes wrong.

But, despite my crazy thinking I hope we all have sticky beans
I think I'm just so paranoid because I've been waiting for this pregnancy a long time, took DH longer than expected to feel ready for #3

xxxxxx

pigleychez · 07/09/2009 08:20

morning all,

We told parents and siblings yesterday too. Shocked them all as no one knew we even thinking about another let alone were ttc.
Im a SAHM so no work to worry about but with DD I told my boss at about 5/6 weeks. couple of reasons..Shes also a good friend who knew we were trying, It was in a nursery full of active kids so wanted to avoid any boisterious paddys, plus was having a nightmare trying to get a dr's appointment to fit around my work hours so needed time off/late start.

DD decided to wake at 5.30 which really isnt great when you feel so tired anyway! Anyone else wake with an extremerly dry throat? Its so annoying.

SamandSophsmam- sorry , no advice here re tests... Ive only ever done 2 tests and they have both have been BFP's!
