Heh - sweetkitty - I just saw this

By sweetkitty on Sun 06-Jan-08 21:58:21
I have NEVER glowed in pregnancy, in fact tonight DP says he hates me being pregnant. I am a miserable whinging pregnant old cow!!!

First 14 or so weeks I hate all food everything makes me feel sick, have to eat to stop being hungry but open fridge go yuck close fridge again.

SPD's is already rearing it's ugly head, agree pregnancy is a pain in the arse for me too (and hips and front of pelvis), hate feeling completely knackered.

Don't get me started on what my skin and hair are doing, my 2yo DD2 keeps putting "cream" on my forehead spots and shouts Mummy got lots of spots!

Still to look forward to are getting huge, heartburn, peeing myself, feeling unable to breathe (and anything else I can think of).

Yes the end justifies the means but I hate being pregnant (this is the last time though ever)!!!

sweetkitty · 23/09/2009 12:52

Bessie - that must be another sweetkitty I know I say that everytime, it's the exact same this time, feel sick, got spots, miserable, don't have SPD yet though. BUT THIS IS THE LAST EVER TIME EVER, I am getting spayed once this one is born lol

AnAngelWithin · 23/09/2009 12:55

thanks memorylapse and sweetkitty. It is just so hard, especially as I still feel sick and have sore breasts and need to go for a wee every 3 minutes! It would've been better if they could have definately said 'yes its gone' or 'yes its all ok' but it never works like that does it? Will update you all on friday anyway when I know more. I'm going for a lie down now, i am so tired. Hope you all have a lovely day x

Stokey38 · 23/09/2009 13:41

Hello, found out on Sunday when I had to go to A&E for broken toe! Bit shocked, but happy shocked. I already have DD who is 15 months today. Feeling okay but tired and paranoid about every twinge (am sure I was like this last time as well though!). Due 30th May, so just about made this thread

Suey2- The Peach does look nice doesnt it!

Kaylo- Thinking of you.

Prinpo-Fingers crossed it turns out to be one of those annoying unexplained bleeds and everything is fine.

Angelwithin- Hope the blood tests come back good.

Memory- Good news on the scan. DONT Google!! so tempting I know.. But it never usually helps! Think positive

Bessie- We on the July 08 antenatal thread did remind Sweet Kitty of exactly that!!

Stokey38- Welcome aboard! What a suprise!

So much for my lazy day! DD is being a whingey mare! Also remembered i needed to pop into town. Typically couldnt get what I wanted but did see a lovely OiOi changing bag. I had said about a new bag to accomodate the two so thought why not! Treat myself!

MinnieMummy · 23/09/2009 14:31

Dorothea I think the work situation with me is that because they announced that we were going into a consultation phase back on June 1 which might result in redundancies the fact I got pg after that time means it counts for bugger all. I'm not 100% sure, but then I can't exactly phone up our HR dept and say 'just a hypothetical...'! I have a friend who works in HR for a different company so I'll ask her whenever I do tell her (not yet!). My interview is just under 4 weeks away so support tights and lots of loose flowing clothes I think!!

Yey more newbies, fingers crossed for good news for everyone waiting at the moment.

cupcakefairy · 23/09/2009 15:14

Sweetkitty did you just refer yourself to your EPU for your scan next week? I would like an early one but my doctor wouldn't refer me.

Angelwithin I'm so so sorry- I know exactly how you feel lovely. I had to wait in limbo after a scan where they 'couldn't see enough' for 2 more weeks and 2 more scans to find out my poor bean had died. I just cried and cried for those 2 weeks and a long while after. It is a horrible thing to go through. Hoping you get good news but there's definitely one of my hands to hold if not. The pregnancy loss section of this site has amazing support.

memorylapse great news that your bean is hanging in there. Please don't think the worst and DON'T GOOGLE! Don't you know that's like a cardinal sin for women in early pregnancy DH told me off for lookingup ectopic pregnancy last night as I am paranoid

I'm 6 weeks today and still no spotting. Last time I had spotting from day 1 and a red bleed at 6+3 so fingers crossed! My booking in appointment is on the 3rd. I might give the mw my sob story and beg for an early scan!

Can't believe we're almost on a second thread already! Chatty ladies!

cupcakefairy · 23/09/2009 15:19

Oh and also angel I felt pregnant for ages after my mc; it's just a cruel thing for your body to do isn't it I was so relieved when my boobs finally went back to normal.

Kaylo · 23/09/2009 15:53

Well hello.

I'm sorry for all the people having a rough time of it. I'm feeling nothing today, literally nothing. I've sternly told myself that theres bugger all I can do to change the circumstances, so if it's bad news on Friday I WILL NOT feel guilty with myself or blame myself/dh/kids/life/god... I'm thinking positive - of course I'm still worried, I want little peach to be ticking over nicely in there and staying comfy in there for the next 8 months.

I had another clot this morning, a nasty one . More like the tissue that the nurse was describing to me But I tell myself 'oh well' because I can't do anything else. I have awful back pain near my bum on the left side - feels like sciatica. I also have pain in my pelvis which feels like SPD. Can't turn over or walk comfortably.

To top my day off, I got my ante-natal notes through the post as well this morning with a booking in appointment for this coming Monday. I hope I actually get to go...

Angel I hope your dates are just wrong and your bean is safe and well. My hand is here for you to hold. I know it's hard to stay positive - I'm having the same problem

xxx

Kaylo · 23/09/2009 15:59

Sorry...posted too early!

memorylapse you give hope to us all I'm thrilled the scan went well for you!! Don't worry too much about what the sonographer said - I think sometimes they get careless, or maybe just tactless when they're explaining things.

And for the love of god don't google. I keep having to tell dh off for that!! He keeps reeling these things off to me that can cause bleeding, bless him. He's just as worried as me!!

xxx

MooMoosmum · 23/09/2009 16:15

Hello,

I am due 18th May with my second DC. Have a fabulous DS who is 22 months, so will be about 2.5yrs between him and the new DC.

Feeling awful. being sick 9 or 10 times a day and am only 6+1. It was the same with DS, but not until around 8 weeks. I guess I just got lucky this time!

sweetkitty · 23/09/2009 16:16

hi ladies having a rough day but could be worse I suppose so shouldn't really whinge.

Kaylo - you are right, you cannot blame yourself and feel guilty, there is nothing you can do to prevent a mc, when you think about it, you have sperm meeting egg, then all the chromosomes have to arrange and organise themselves, then from that one cell everything has to be made, it is amazing but a lot of scope for things to wrong no matter what we do, will keep everything crossed for a miracle do not want to lose anyone on this thread.

cupcakefairy - yes I self referred, just rang up the EPU and asked for a early reassurance scan due to previous mc, she took all my details and asked if I had had any bleeding (I couldn't remember my LMP and it's the 1st August and we were counting and using opks)

minniemummy - fingers and everything crossed for you x

pigley - well done on the bag, I find the more you have the less stuff you take with you, most days I am lucky if I have a nappy and a bag of wipes in the back of the car.

Stokey - welcome and congratulations

suey - I have been looking at an iCandy Peach blossom too, looks good I like the buggy with car seat on the back option as most of my journeys are little ones so it would be nice just to take the baby out the car in the car seat and into the pram. £700 though don't think I will be getting it, I think this will be pram no 10 for me, DP will leave me for sure so think it will be good old P&T

Stokey38 · 23/09/2009 16:38

Thank you. I totally forgot how stressful this time is, every slight pain I get I am thinking the worst! It's such early days yet as well, haven't even made an appointment to see my GP as still can't quite believe it's happening. DP and I haven't told anyone yet... going to wait a couple of weeks! I am sure I was like this with my first pregnancy, I'm not the worlds greatest at not worrying about things!

Kaylo · 23/09/2009 16:51

Stokey and moomoosmum - Welcome to the thread!! I wasn't being rude earlier - I'm sorry As you can see theres a lot going on.

Wishing you both a stess free pregnancy

TwentiethCenturyHeffa · 23/09/2009 18:31

AnAngelWithin - sorry to hear your news Hope all of you going through uncertainty get an answer soon.

Welcome to the thread Stokey and Moomoosmum.

Memorylapse - sorry that the scan wasn't as reassuring as it could have been but glad little bean is hanging on in there for now.

pamelat · 23/09/2009 19:20

Sorry AnAngelWithin

Congrats Stokey and Moomoosmum.

I am going to research these early scans. I think it would be (mainly) reassuring to know what is happening, even if I have to pay.

I have still not been sick but I am eating ALL day.

Can I please confess todays "diet"

2 slices of toast, handful of dry cereal
mini cheddars
hot beef baguette, large
flap jack
do-nut (works fault)
slice of bread

and awaiting duck, roast potatoes, roast parsnips and other veg from DH

I can not believe how hungry I am. I could eat a lot more than I have.

I figure its not the time to cut back!!

suey2 · 23/09/2009 20:07

See you and raise you, pamelat!
Fruit n fibre
2 slices toast
Scrambled egg on toast
2 slices lemon drizzle cake
2 crumpets and butter
2 portions fish pie and peas.

I am at the very least growing a carb baby! Carbs definitely help with my nausea and I have been feeling super dizzy today. Guess that's the low blood pressure then.

Quite fancy another slice of cake.....

Kaylo · 24/09/2009 07:57

Wow look at you guys, all that food!
I'm starving but just can't face food right now, could be pregnancy related but could be stress.

Mmmmm, scrambled eggs on toast does sound awfullt nice tho. Would have to put cheese on the top tho

Not so much bleeding now, just pink/browny/orangy smudges on the paper when I wipe now. Fingers hurt from being crossed so hard. Am trying so hard not to be too hopeful just in case peach isn't happy. Or even there .

Ooooh, cake, fish pie, cumpets. You guys make me hungry!!!

TwentiethCenturyHeffa · 24/09/2009 08:07

I'm not really that hungry either Kaylo. I'm not actually feeling that sick which is making me worry a lot.

My MW called yesterday and rranged a booking appointment for next Thursday so that's good. I have to go up and collect a booking pack from the maternity unit today. I keep wondering whether I should save any concerns for next week or mention them today if I get a chance. There's really nothing worrying other than lack of sickness - I was so sick with DD that it's making me panic a little. On the other hand, I'm absolutely exhausted which I wasn't with DD.

Anyway, I'm going to grab some breakfast while DD is transfixed to Timmy Time.

Kaylo · 24/09/2009 08:26

oooh, Timmy Time, I have to admit I cried at that yesterday. My kids were singing along to it and I blubbed my eyes out

DorotheaPlenticlew · 24/09/2009 08:48

And so the roll call of CBeebies features that make us cry expands. So far on this thread we have reported tears in response to:

Chuggington
Timmy Time
and the "Summer" song

Anyone else? I should add that I have now seen the Autumn song (complete with Keats quote) and managed to stay dry-eyed, but only just, when DS said happily, "they're eating apples!"

TwentiethCenturyHeffa · 24/09/2009 09:01

Cbeebies is clearly dangerous for pregnant women!

suey2 · 24/09/2009 09:43

No worries at the moment on cbeebies: no risk of feeling teary with mr tumble! In fact 8 fat sausages is making me feel very queasy....

I agree about the summer song: just lovely. Blub!
