Thought I would start a new thread for may. Just got bfp and I am really excited. I think I'm due 30th April/1st May but there are so many people on April already. Heres hoping for a healthy pregnancy. I will just wait for lots more of you to join me. xxxx

Spireal - really sorry to hear about chem preg. I had the same thing in July - faint line on Fri and then tested again on Tues - no line and then period started. If it helps, my GP said there was no reason why I shouldn't try again straight away and obv we did because here I am. Apparently you get a fertility "boost" in the couple of months following chem preg so hopefully you will be lucky soon. x

I think baby brain has kicked in. Came home, had old bottle of water in car - went to throw bottle in wheelie bin and threw house keys in as well . Fortunately had spare set in bag. Just rung DH at work and asked him if he will fish them out for me when he gets home (don't want to catch anything nasty from bin, plus he is 6'4" so can probably reach bottom of bin whilst still standing on ground!) - he thinks I have gone nutty.

HK72 Welcome! How are you feeling? Where are you? You have totally come to the right place if you feel a bit isolated - I am in the same boat, with family in different country/continent and just moved to a new area so know no-one. This is good, supportive thread!

I've gone up a cup size already. Waves of dzziness and nausea yuk! Going to seriously have to pace myself. Much earlier than last time: it was 8 weeks this time less than 5! Feeling v bloated, too. Glad to have symptoms, though.

Suey2 - same here, I am back in old maternity bras already. Which consultant are you seeing at the portland? someone recommended mr o'brian to me.

well the cyclizine seems to be helping..Ive taken 2 tablets today and have kept food down..I still feel very sick but not so much that Im throwing up..spoke to epu today as was a little bit anxious about taking the cyclizine..but she said both cyclizine and stemetil are drugs of choice for hyperemesis

Bessie I was recommended ursula Lloyd. Apparently loads of gps use her and she's ace. I'm sure they're all good: I was working with a mdwife today who highly recommended katrin somebody. It'd be pretty funny if we were there at the same time, eh?

Surely all being well we will be there at the same time - both needing c-sections and due dates a day apart. I have been vaguely considering attempting a vbac, I keep having to have a word with myself to stop this silliness.

I had a positive pregnancy test this morning - first time I've ever been pregnant and very unexpected. Exciting though. Think I'll be due around the 22nd May.

Baby brain has kicked in for me (although really I think it went some time ago with DS and just never came back) as I went to the GPs for my appt this morning and the receptionist said 'er, sorry, no, your appointment is tomorrow!!'. So I was 24hrs early, duh!

Welcome to all who've recently joined. I still can't believe how quickly the thread moves.

Feeling a bit crap today, with (sorry TMI) a bit of an upset stomach/diarrhoea issue. Worried in case this is a sign of something that is mild for me but dangerous for a developing baby. Also hurts a lot insides all twisted and painful. Desperate for DP to finish DS's story and put him in his cot they are reading on our big bed and I really need to lie down ...

I have been having the period type pains as well, my Doctor said it's normal and I do think I remember that with my other two as well.

Anyone else getting sharp pulled muscle type pains in lower abdomen if they stand up too quickly? I had this before and its starting now too.

Hope everyone is good, am just going out but will try and read up on everyone later

BRB - I have had this, it feels like its a bit better this week, but when I'm sitting on tiny chairs at school and standing up quickly, I would feel a pulled muscle type pain. I am assuming it's normal if others are experiencing this.

I went to hospital today in regard to high BP. They just took more blood to check kidney function, I think they are monitoring me for pre-eclampsia. I feel fine, apart from the normal symptoms like nausea and tiredness etc! I have to go back in on monday to be monitored.

Jan9ne so sorry to hear your news. If you want you are very welcome to join the Emmsys girls over on the conception board. We have all miscarried before and are at varying stages of trying again. They are an absolutely wonderful bunch of ladies. You too Spirael though I still hope you will get good news
