Does anyone else feel pregnant one minute (sore boobs, tired, emotional) and then completely fine the next?

Yesterday I felt hormonal and exhausted, today I actually feel quite chirpy and have dragged myself off for a swim and late night food shop??

Last time I just felt awful all the time for the first trimester, from what I remember anyway.

I have been told midwife will not see me until 12 weeks, feels like a long time to wait.

Kaylo · 08/09/2009 21:15

I'm gonna be one of the last ones waiting for my lil peach aren't I?

You're all gonna have your LO's and I'll still be carrying mine

pamelat · 08/09/2009 21:23

You'll be getting more sleep Kaylo

Just realised that every other site works my due date out as 12th May, our actual wedding anniversary.

My DH has just found out he has an exam with work at the end of May, ooops. Oh well.

Are people using mumsnets dates for EDD?

pigleychez · 08/09/2009 21:26

Kaylo- I wouldnt worry. Im only the day before you and if DD's anything to go by ill be the last! I was 2 weeks late with DD and she had to be forcefully evicted!

Kaylo · 08/09/2009 21:38

at your DD, clearly she was very comfy in there

I guess I could go either way really, DD was 5wks early and took us all by surprise, DS was just a day early - MW had told me to be ready from 34wks as they expected me delivering earlier!!
And basically she scared the hell outta me!

memorylapse · 08/09/2009 21:48

god I feel sick..dh has just pointed out that our center parcs break in a weeks time could be interesting as it looks like Ill have my head down the loo most of it..my boobs feel like cannon balls

Kaylo · 08/09/2009 21:53

memorylapse I hope your Centre Parcs break goes well and you all have an amazing time. And you never know - LO may give you a sickie break

My heart goes out to all of you that are green with MS already, I'm not yet chucking but I'm sure it's coming.
Tummy feels funnier everyday

carikube8 · 08/09/2009 21:58

No chucking up here either but I have completely lost my appetite (so maybe I'll finally get rid of baby weight from DD!). Still not getting too many pg symptoms though so it still doesn't seem real.

Kaylo · 08/09/2009 22:05

My main symptoms are tiredness and weeing a lot!
Theres the odd crampy feeling but just feels like AF is around the corner wanting a cuppa!

Possible TMI Alert
When I just went to the loo about 15minutes ago (not that it matters when...) there was a gloopy dischargy type thing. Is this normal cos I can't remember?

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 08/09/2009 22:16

I don't feel pregnant today either, and the more people I tell the more worried I get that I'm not pregnant! Very tempted to POAS today. Someone tell me I'm being ridiculous... lol

Kaylo, that's probably the mucus plug forming, I wouldn't worry.

Does anyone have a distinct feeling as to what sex their baby is? I feel like I'm definitely having a boy, but I'll know for sure if I get a hairy belly again like I did with ds1! (Boy hormones made me really hairy!)

Kaylo · 08/09/2009 22:19

Thanks JATGB I truly hope it is

I have this unexplainable feeling that I'm having a girl. I have no idea why, nothing in the way of symptoms to suggest it but I just feel it. Guess we'll find out

Jennylee · 08/09/2009 23:26

I did a search for drunkenmistake, I'm not sure she will be coming back although i hope so

Jan9ne · 09/09/2009 07:51

Hi girls,
I'm a bit worried. Just went to the loo and i had pale-ish/orangey type blood-loss. I guess it's blood mixed in with mucus. There's not enough to drip into or stain my knickers (sorry - TMI) but when i wipe it's definitely there. I have no pain or backache. I had a similar thing with dd at 8 weeks and pregnancy was fine. I think that was a breakthrough bleed tho - won't be a breakthrough bleed now tho as am still 2 weeks off what would have been my af. so worried and making myself sore with the constant wiping and checking - arrgghh....
Also i feel like the few symptoms i had have gone.....

Jennylee · 09/09/2009 08:46

Hope thats not the case, is awful though hope it stops.

memorylapse · 09/09/2009 10:20

Jan9ne...if you are worried, get yourself along to the EPU..it could be a bit of implantation bleeding?

woke up feeling very nauseas today..I can smell everything if that doesnt sound daft...
got my 3 rd lot of HCG results and they havent doubled..they have just under doubled so the EPU nurse is not concerned and said they will scan me as planned on monday..I dont feel I can relax until Ive had that scan..despite knowing that HCG doesnt always exactly double in 48 hours

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 09/09/2009 10:23

Jan9ne, with my last pregnancy I didn't realise I was pregnant til about 10 weeks in. When my period was due, I had a very small bleed and thought "that was weird, where's the rest of it?"

Everything was utterly fine, I think it was just my body having a bit of a hiccup, or maybe an implantation bleed. (Because I'm not entirely sure when we conceived as it wasn't planned)

It's very common to have some small amount of bleeding in early pregnancy, but if it gets any heavier I would contact your gp for reassurance. I'm sure it's just one of those things!

Btw, I did POAS last night for reassurance, don't be afraid to do that if you're worried your symptoms have gone! I must have done it about 6 times AFTER my initial bfp last time lol

Jan9ne · 09/09/2009 10:29

Thanks for your support xx
Bleeding has (seems to have stopped) - it really was v light and not bright red more pale tomato so am hoping that's a good sign...
Spoke to doc she's putting me in for an early scan for hopefully next week when i am 7 weeks. I had a similar (heavier) bleed with dd at 8 weeks, reckon that was break thru. Still no pain. Feel v v tired tho despite a good night's sleep (also despite dd ending up in bed with us as didn't have the energy to do baby whisperer last night!) Good idea JamesAndTheGiantBanana think i will do a digi test. xx

sweetkitty · 09/09/2009 10:57

Morning ladies just trying to catch up, felt a bit sick myself this morning, it kind of comes and goes.

Sorry to hear a few of you are experiencing bleeding, please remember that bleeding does not always mean the worst, some women bleed right through their pregnancy and the baby is fine, cervical erosion and hormones are another reason.

My experiences have been DD1 large red bleed at 10 weeks, smaller bleed at 11 weeks all well, DD2 nothing, DB3 small amount of brown staining at about 9 weeks, went on to mc, DD3 small amount of red followed by brown all well. Very common to have bleeds as I have found out.

memorylapse - HCG fluctuates throughout the day so it could double then not double hour by hour IYSWIM, also it calms down a bit the further you get on so doesn't double all the time, I know what you mean about teh scan though.

james and kaylo - I am thinking girl, same feelings as always, I am starting to have an image of her in my head, well basically another clone, am thinking about names too wrong I know but I cannot help it.

kaylo - very sad story, I have a friend who is in hospital right now and 30 weeks but keeps bleeding her first DD was stillborn and she has another DD at home, poor thing makes you realise how lucky you are.

I am a bit at all these GP/MW appts, I am waiting until hopefully I am scanned at 8 weeks then I will go see the GP who will say "congrats" when do you think your due? Get out his wee wheel go "I agree" right we will book you in to see the MWs, I do hope my lovely MW from last time is still about, could not have asked for a more lovely MW, I was very lucky, I could have kissed her when I spoke to her on the phone and knew she was on call and would be up in 10 minutes.

Jan9ne · 09/09/2009 11:25

got clearblue digi and it's says i have to wait for morning wee to get accurate conception indication....dammit! has anyone done it after morning wee and got acc result? I cannot wait until tomorrow!!!!!!!

memorylapse · 09/09/2009 11:47

Jan9ne..I did the clearblues in the afternoon, and the conception indicator still went up

Jan9ne · 09/09/2009 12:00

Thanks memorylapse,
I just tested. My wee looked quite weak so i was prepared for a pos test but not nec an accurate conception indicator. Anyway it's showing 2-3 weeks which means i am 4-5 weeks pregnant. I am actually 2 days off 6 weeks so i guess that's an ok result? would have worried if it had said '1-2'weeks. will test with early morning wee tomorrow and see if it rises to 3+ weeks....
this is driving me crazy. i am normally v rational and sensible.................

memorylapse · 09/09/2009 12:45

Jan9ne..you might have conceived a little later?..I know it says that the conception indicator gives a more accurate result in the morning..I hadnt been drinking a lot so got a 3+ result..but if youve been drinking a lot, your wee will be more dilute, so possibly not as much of the hormone will be detected?

I feel horrific..think Im going to have to tell my mum as she will seriously smell a rat when she comes over tomorrow and Im ralphing every 5 mins

memorylapse · 09/09/2009 12:47

I'm really struggling to keep up with you ladies. :D Feels like I don't even know who's who yet cos everytime I start to get a hang of it there's loads more people again and so many more posts.

I'm sorry that bleeding's causing worrying for some of us. it just seems to me that it is really common to get bleeding but I do understand that it can feel a bit scary too.

Thanks for the comments on my MW visit. I've thought about it more and realised there was nothing wrong with the visit, I had just thought it would be the long visit now where you talk about everything. But that's the 12 week visit they told me. AND I feel very lucky to have the MW I've got. She was soooo lovely and I felt like I get on with her really well. Couldn't ask for anyone more perfect for me. Plus she did take my worries seriously. She just said she's not sure if she can get me an appointment to the hospital any sooner. BUT.. she had called the hospital and they called me back today. I'm going to see some diabetes expert plus a dietician next week. The woman that called was dead lovely as well and she said we'll try to sort out my blood sugar this way so that maybe with the help of next week's appointment I'll manage til the 12 week appointment. So I'm very happy now with the way they are taking care of me!

I really feel for everyone who feels even a tiny bit sick. Not a nice feeling. hang in there.

MinnieMummy · 09/09/2009 14:29

Hello all, can I join too please? Due 15 May, no 3! I know Pigley and Sweetkitty as we all had babies last July. Kaylo I was second to last to have mine so I know what it's like to have to wait longest, you get really that everyone else has their bubbas plus I'm not good at that final stage of pregnancy. To be honest I'm not good at any stage, so I apologise in advance for being a grumpy mare! But as you're 20th May I'm sure there will be more people along soon...

Pamelat my DD was born on our wedding anniversary last year, can't say it was how I would have wanted to spend the day but at least me and DH were together and it does mean a doubley-special day for the future.

Haven't told anyone in RL yet, I've been quite enjoying the sense of it being 'our little secret' but then yesterday I went to Cotswold Wildlife Park with some friends and got a bit panicked we went into a goat enclosure and then it was only as we left I saw the sign telling pg women to steer clear.. I didn't touch any, DS did but I sanitised his hands thoroughly and tbh I didn't see any really new borns (they were all pygmy varieties though so a bit hard to tell!). If I had seen the sign before we went in then I would have been in a dilemma about whether to tell friends or not... I'm sure it will all be fine (repeat until you believe it)
