Suspect I may sit here on my own for a few days, as found out pretty early that I'm now 3+4, due 3rd Feb 06.

I'll introduce myself anyway!

Age 31, DH 39. Live North Herts. Ttc #1 for just over 4 years, including 1 missed m/c last October.

Ecstatic to be pregnant again , but also nervous because of m/c history.

Womba - glad you made it over. It seems that almost everyone has a sad tale to tell - if you've had chance to read through the thread now then you'll understand that you're not the only one who's cautious this early on - I think we're all too aware of how precarious the first trimester can be, and stories like yours serve to remind us that there isn't really a point at which you can consider your pregnancy safe.

Now, aren't you a little young (by about 30 years!) to be living in Eastbourne . Lovely to be near the sea though - I'm quite of that!

YeahBut (great name BTW - I shall smile every time I see it, as she's my fav LB character) - welcome to the thread . You're due just a day after me, so will be interesting to compare symptoms - do you have any yet, apart from the +ve test of course!

Tabs...Eastbourne is definitely the home for the Purple Rinse Brigade.. but i'm happy to say that we actually leave in Sovereign Harbour which is 2 miles along the coast from all the 'KISS ME QUICK' hates and sticks of rock!!
This place is known as the St.Tropez of the South Coast!

I've just suddenly remembered that i haven't got a Doctor here yet.Well, at least now they can't refuse to take me on!

ixel · 05/06/2005 17:01

Hello all. Took Tabs' invite from my other thread, and just popping up here to say hi, despite test only done this morning, and alot of doubt that the very feint line is there.Welll, I guess if I come back to this thread within the week, I'll have done hundreds of repeat tests and started to believe it. Suppose this is not the right thread to put out a plea for a moses basket as we sold ours after ds??!!

Tabs · 06/06/2005 07:28

Tabs, You are so organised! Didn't realise you wanted a bit more info so here we are - I'm 30, (also living in Holland, Kando! Been here for about 18 months now.) I've had placental insufficiency and IUGR in both previous pregnancies so will, in all likelihood, be under the care of an obstetrician throughout this pregnancy if things go well.

I'm feeling OK at the moment in that I have no sickness to speak of but am bone-crushingly tired ALL the time!

babylily · 06/06/2005 09:24

Can I join you!
I'm 4+4 with baby 2. DD is almost 2.
Due date will be Feb 10th.

Shocked as got pregnant in first month of trying - had expected it to take much longer.

Feeling a bit weird - last time I was ecstatic and dreadfully worried from day 1, but this time feel more laid back. Also convinced it's a boy!
Had very bad SPD with last pregnancy, used a wheelchair and critches to get around. Have no idea how I will cope with a toddler and work, considering I'm limping already....
bestest wishes to all xx

YeahBut · 06/06/2005 09:26

Congratulations BabyLily!

teuch · 06/06/2005 10:23

Been away for a couple of days and took me ages to catch up...Munz, I am so sorry hun we'll see you when you feel ready again.

Hi to all the new folks - it starts to make it all a bit more real as more people join the thread

Well, this morning is the first day I have come very close to actually vomiting - wahey! bring it on! Feel like crap but I find it quite reassuring...

Hope everyone else is well - I am exhausted as was volunteering/working at an event fri/sat/sun then back to the day job today! Not great as was really long hours and loads of junk food but hopefully bubs is holding in there.

Have informed the midwife - via a stupid form that you have to submit - and should hear from them this week.

teuch · 06/06/2005 14:59

where is everyone today?

Just had a call form my midwife and no-go on the early scan but I am going in next tuesday & thurs to get bloods done for HcG...if they have approximately doubled between the two tests then that is apparently the best indicator that everything is progressing as it should...nervous already.

I also have my booking appt on the 30th...seems a long, long time away!

hotmama1 · 06/06/2005 15:04

Thanks for letting me be an honorary member. Got my booking appt on Weds so I'll see what date the midwife gives me - may be joining you permanently - as I have previously said will prob be in the Feb 06 postnatal group as dd was 9 days late.

Hope you are all feeling O.K. - looks like there may be some new members looking at the postings on Mn today.

kando · 06/06/2005 17:43

Hello ladies! Hope you are all well. I saw the doctor on Friday, who gave me an EDD of 3rd February, making me 6 weeks pg. Got to start the heparin injections though - picked them up today, so tonight's the night ... yeuch! I'm hoping I'll get used to them pretty quickly, but I have to say I'm feeling pretty nervous about it. It's for the greater good though, and it's not forever. Only 34-40 weeks to go ... !

JuA · 06/06/2005 20:27

Hi all! I have had a very feint positive yesterday - and I reckon my due date will be 9th February. I have a dd who is nearly 18 months and I had a m/c at Christmas 2002. It doesn't feel very real at the moment - although that may have something to do with the fact that dd is not well and I am suffering from a lack of sleep.

womba1 · 06/06/2005 20:34

Babylily.. my EDD is also 10th Feb... race ya!!!
Congats Kando and JuA!!

babylily · 07/06/2005 08:05

Morning all and how is everyone feeling this morning?

Me - a little sick and very tired! Going on holiday tomorrow and trying to find out the italian for 'I'm pregnant please be nice to me'!!!

hiya due date buddy- -womba1!

My DD is nearly 2 and gave the baby in mummys tummy a kiss this morning.

womba1 · 07/06/2005 08:42

Morning All!! Well,i don't remember my boobs being quite as sore as this last time round! I couldn't even handle the duvet touching me lastnight and as for laying in my fave position on my front... no chance in hell! I wanted to make the most of it before my bump started getting in the way but my boobs have put pay to that idea!
But.. i don't feel sick which is a huge deal for me. I'm an entamaphobe and am completely phobic about me being sick or anyone else being sick. I didn't so much as feel queasy in my last pregnancy so am praying that i'm the same this time!
How is everyone doing today?

ixel · 07/06/2005 08:52

I've done 3 tests now, all positives but feint. Got my docs appointment tomorrow, so currently going through the worries about getting a dating scan appointment and then finding out I'm not pregnant after all and looking like a nutter.
Am in complete empathy about sore nipples though. And its out wedding anniversary today; dh has bought me a new bra, which he'll expect to be tested out for his approval!!

Tabs · 07/06/2005 09:04

Morning all .

So Kando - you're my due date buddy at the moment - wonder how much we'll all move around after our scans?! How did the first injection go?

Hi and welcome to babylily and JuA.
Babylily - I'd go for saying bambino and pointing at your tummy if the full italian proves too much!

Yeahbut - please excuse my ignorance but what's IUGR?

I'm a bit confused about my ante-natal care now. Got an appointment through from hospital for July saying that it'll be my booking in where they go through all my medical history etc, but I've already done that with the midwife at my docs surgery! Better give them a ring and find out what's going on I suppose.

Also still need to book my early scan. I'll be 7 weeks next Friday so can have it anytime after that, but still tempted to wait until 9 weeks.

As for symptoms, I wish I had some more to convince me that everything is ok! My nipples have started to get very very slightly sore now, and not sure if my sleeping patterns are entirely normal, but otherwise nothing! What I wouldn't give for some morning sickness!

m/c in march, so very , very nervous about this little bean, fell preg again straight away

TicTac · 07/06/2005 09:33

Hi All,

Can I join you in this thread please. I am 6 weeks pregnant and due on the 5th Feb '06.
I have a few funny twinges down below yesterday ad today but have also now started to feel generally a bit worse for wear.
This is my first ever pregnancy and I am sooo scared that something will go wrong and I will M/C

teuch · 07/06/2005 10:02

Morning and welcome to TicTac and spacecadet and congrats! You are in good company here as everyone is cautiously excited

I am actually due at the very end of January but I prefer the 'comfort blanket' of being with others so early on rather than some of the Jan one who are 10-11 weeks...just seems such a long way away for me!

Still feeling nauseous and shaky, worse in the morning - I commute by bus [spewing emoticon]!! but tends to hang around most of the day and gets worse again in the evenings. My hair has turned to straw and I am an emotional wreck...I am embarrassed to say that I nearly burst into tears this monring reading about Sail8 ...just picturing all those boats like Dunkirk...

Sorry, have lost it today!

TicTac · 07/06/2005 10:30

Hi Teuch,

Thanks, I am very excited and very scared...I thought falling pregnant would be truely amazing and it has been but I never banked on having so many worries to boot!

So when are you due then?

spacecadet · 07/06/2005 10:48

hi tic-tac, i dont think you stop worrying until you hold thebaby in your arms, thenn you have a whole host of diff worries!

TicTac · 07/06/2005 10:49

Is this your first spacecadet?

teuch · 07/06/2005 10:49

Tabs has a great philosophy on worrying about early pregnancy....I'm sure it is further down this thread!

My due date calculator say 25th Jan, I estimate 30th since I ov later. So I am somewhere around 6+5 I think! I didn't share my late ov date with mw so that they would get a wiggle on and get appts in the diary sooner!

I have to say that when I found out I was pg the first time I was super-neurotic...this time I am much more relaxed (honest Tabs!).

I am thinking of going to one of these ultrasound clinics (not a private hospital or anything) to get an early pg scan...any thoughts anyone?

TicTac · 07/06/2005 10:54

Early Scan...that sounds fab! I have not heard of these clinics...do you know where I might find one and from when you can go?
