Hello everyone,

Another bad night here for GC, but I only got up once at 4am then DH did the rest thank goodness!

I have had a lovely day today. My friend from my school days came down from York with her DH and 3 DS's (age 5, 2 and 11 months) and my best mate who is 7 months pg came up from Southampton with her DP and we all went to a nearby Forest Commission place called Alice Holt with loads of play parks for the kids. We had a picnic and it was such a lovely day, I didnt want to go home!

Gyo - I forgot to tell you that I used the test you gave me and it came back negative and then AF came two days later so all clear here Thanks for test though (Sorry wagoners I kept that info from you but I had a little 'scare') I still have the other test if you need it back???

Hope youre not too sad about your sis but it will nice for you to go and visit like you said.

Ses - Cake sounds great. I am still up for any meet up but am on hol until the 12th Aug and busy that weekend. Think I can do most days in the week after that.

Sorky - glad you are ok. Hope your DH is over the pain soon...for your sake!

Moosy - hope your SPD doesn't get any worse!

Kayz - sorry about your day!Hope you have a better evening.

Hello to anyoneI missed

glaskham · 02/08/2009 19:57

evening.... just popping in quick- still hectic with DD2... she's currently crying in her cot... is anyone on the wagon interested in some VGC newborn-1mth baby girls clothing? I can send via courier once they're all sorted- which could be within a week maybe... she's all into 0-3 now so no point keeping hold of it all. There's LOTs of next etc... if anyone is interested email me at [email protected] and i can send some pics etc.

idreamofbeanie · 02/08/2009 21:15

Hi Ses - I'd def be up for a meet-up in York, it'd be lovely to meet you and J. I am due on the 27th though so I'd better not make any promises.

Glask - DB and SIL have given us bags and bags of clothes DN has grown out of so we really can't use any more. Thanks for the offer!

Gruff - sorry for rubbish night but sounds like you had a lovely day.

Sorky - LOL at DH suffering loudly . Hope he is feeling better soon.

Moosy - hope the SPD isn't too bad, I'm sure the girdle will be gorgeous .

Tink - as ever I am in awe of your shopping.

Right, think I'm off for a warm bath and then bed - can't believe I'm saying that at 9.15pm but I'm sitting yawning already.

bumpsnowjustplump · 02/08/2009 21:20

Ses i am up for a meet i Reigate. CAnt do this week but am prety much free from then on in...

Kayzr · 02/08/2009 21:22

Ses, Yup to meet up!! Very fast post, on laptop and half the keys have gone!!

Grumpy Grumpy DS2 here!!

tinkisback · 02/08/2009 21:44

meant to say what are you thoughts ladies on boden items not buying yet was looking at them for dd1 for her winter clothes

any thoughts?

has anyone bought from them before?!

essenceofSES · 02/08/2009 22:03

Great! Sounds like I have some meet ups to arrange
Will post more in the next couple of days...
IDOB - I did think you'd probably be v pg!

I'm feeling exhausted. Just come to bed and sitting in bed feeding before settling down.
Hope we all have good nights.

Moosy · 02/08/2009 22:11

Sounds like a perfect day Gruff, I hope you had better weather than we had here!

I might be up for a Southern meetup at some point, but don't arrange anything around me, I'll just see what you all decide and see if I'm up to driving! Would be lovely to meet you all though Am I the only one who hasn't met anyone in RL yet?

Glask, I might be interested in the tiny clothes, I don't know how much my cousin has left from what I lent her , Sorky had said she'd send me some stuff but I don't think that's first size so if you've got no better home for it then yes please! I feel a bit guilty being the last in line on the wagon though as I have no one to pass on to after me, although maybe Kayz'll have a girl next!

Hope you all get good nights with lots of sleep

Kayzr · 03/08/2009 06:25

Morning,

Moosy, I like that. I do hope to have a girl next. MIL claims it is impossible to have 2 boys and then a girl. Hopefully she is wrong.

Woke up feeling like rubbish. Got a sore throat and a headache. Mum's just had a cold though so I have probably caught it.

Hope you are all well this morning.

tinkisback · 03/08/2009 08:45

hi

my friend has 2 boys and a girl

thats how my awful cold started

Moosy · 03/08/2009 09:29

Kayz your MIL is a loon (but you know that already) of course you can have a girl after 2 boys - I have 2 older brothers and I'm a girl!

Have had another disgusting episode this morning, went in to get the DDs up and found that DD1 had pooed in the potty and DD2 had used one of her toys as a paint brush and done some decorating it's the second time it's happened recently and if it happens again I think she'll be in the free ads.

sorky · 03/08/2009 09:56
GYo · 03/08/2009 10:23

essenceofSES · 03/08/2009 10:44

Sorry Sorky

IDOB - would make things v memorable if she did put in an appearance!

I'm trying to get some washing on the line and go into town but DS is being v clingy this morning. I think he may have a bit of wind that's not shifting.

Moosy · 03/08/2009 11:16

Eek, I've just spent over £50 on bits to make DD1's birthday cake I find this sugarcrafting quite addictive...

tinkisback · 03/08/2009 11:38

ohh moosy cake bits sound good

Sparklytwinkletoes · 03/08/2009 11:58

Ses, I used the top tier of our wedding cake for DS 1st birthday cake, as we haven't had him christened. Its normal to take the old icing off, give the cake a little 'drink' (pref alcoholic! but I think there are other options, like fruit juice? might be making that up... Brandy it is!), then re-ice it.

DS was re-iced with white icing and had a little pair of blue bootees and a blue rocking horse on it. We put it in front of him to look at the candle and he grabbed a bootee and ate it! It was very funny and quite sweet - at least it was his cake! Could have been embarassing if it had been meant for another child!

Am feeling lousy today, after yet another bad nights sleep. With DS, I was happy being pg all the way to the end and never got any of those impatient "get this baby out of me" feelings that loads of people seem to mention - but this time, blimey! I can't believe I've still got 9 weeks to go to the EDD.

And whilst I'm on for a whinge....

I'm bored of playing with play-doh!

Am trapped inside till tesco direct deliver a new blind for DS bedroom. Think I'll have a nap with DS after his lunch to try and catch up a bit, otherwise DH is likely to cop a load of my stress later too...

Kayzr · 03/08/2009 14:25

Hello,

Ses, we did the same as STT for DS1's christening cake. Well we used the middle tier as our top tier was chocolate. We took the original icing off and re-iced it.
