Hello everyone, I gave birth to baby Louis my 3rd boy on 31 August. A healthy boy hurray! I was 11 days late and got induced with the drip at 11am after having waters broken. Louis was born at 8.40pm. Apparently my actual labour was only 3hrs long! I have weird veins so the drip was going into my tissue at first. When they sorted this out at 6pm I went from 3cm to 10 in about 30 mins. Anyway i got my healthy baby soon after that.
I got out of hospital 2 days later but once home I ended up with a kidney infection which developed into septecaemia so i was rushed back into hospital and straight onto the drip for a week. Anyway they got it on time so all is well now and I'm on the mend and am finally out and about pushing my double buggy.

Hello everyone!

Good to hear all your birth stories and to see that most (if not all) of the August babies are out now.

Just to let you all know our good news, Nathan came off his breathing support on Tuesday (CPAP) and is now just on nasal oxygen. He can come home on oxygen, so it shouldn't be too long now before he comes home!!! Hooray!

We are trying to establish breast feeding, he's doing great when he can be bothered and is awake, but that's not every feed yet. Once he can feed, and stays off the breathing support, he just needs a hernia repairing before he comes home - not much to sort out now.

So, although I was the first one to have my baby, looks like i'll be the last one to bring him home. He's worth it though - such a cute little bundle of smiles - and chubbing up nicely at 8lbs 8oz.

Hurrah hurrah hurrah, Michaela! So happy to hear that Nathan is doing so well and will be home soon. I've been wondering how he was for ages. Great news. Hope the hernia op goes well.
