Am 7 days overdue today and will get a date for induction this afternoon when go for midwife appointment - fingers crossed I won't need it but at least it's an end date I suppose.

Congratulations Belgrano and MoodyLou. Great news and then for the birth stories. Feeling sorry for all you others waiting. I know just what it is like ... DD was 2 weeks late and I was sick of waiting by the time she arrived. A CS this time at 3 days before due date made a 9sort of) pleasant change.
Fingers crossed for the last babies coming ...

OENONE ROSE BORN 23.07.09 7lb 8oz

Hello, news from me. Haven't read up what's happened since I last checked in but congratulations everyone who has popped and good vibes to all who have yet to!

George born naturally in midwife led unit at 9am on 01-08-09, 4.220kg or in other words 9 lbs 3 ouches - had no previous warning he would be a biggie (I'm 5'4 and usually very slim so perhaps being very average on the antenatal measurements should have been a clue.)

Stayed in for 24 hrs ish and because it was an individual room in the midwife unit my DP stayed all the time too. We are so lucky to have had such a fantastic birth experience.

Day 4 and one of my norks is leaking real stuff which I'm very relieved about - overnight day 2-3 poor thing tried to feed for hours and hours until about 3am we were so worried I sent DP out to buy formula (oh the guilt) and then we took ages to make it up coz paranoid about sterilising etc. Lovely boy then had about 50ml of it and conked straight out to sleep for the next 4 hours. Such relief.

Hi all,

Guess nearly 2 weeks down the line the birth announcement is well overdue!

Sophia Munashe born 23/7 @ 06.22, weighing 3.8kg and 52 cm tall.

Had quite a hard time, so trying to put the whole episode out of my mind.

She is absolutely perfect though, and we're both completely besotted !

i don't what happened but i haven't been on here in a loooooong time! i hope you are all well. i read wooljo's very sad news, and it broke my heart. i hope you are doing ok woolyjo.

i had my daughter 3 weeks early on 16th june at 00.08am - mia rose! 6lbs 3oz. the labour was very quick taking 7 hours in total. she is beautiful

it will take too long to read all your posts since i was last on so hope you are all doing well and enjoying your little ones!

Just to let you know James George was born on 5/8 (9 days late!) weighing 7lb 7oz. Very quick labour once established labour started and both of us are well. Will see you on post-natal thread!

Late entry but I too had my little man on 5th August, 12 days late! Arthur William - 10 Ib 2 oz - fabtastic waterbirth. Absolutely smitten and very glad to be post-natal, finally!

Wow it feels like I've just walked into an empty room .....

I hope you are all chatting away on the post-natal thread (which I can't bring myself to look at) I hope all is going well.

It feels a bit like Niamh and I are stuck here. I had a big slump about 3 weeks after having Niamh (the post pregnancy hormones giving out)and am still struggling to climb out.

I still can't believe this has happened to us. People tell us it is early days still (Niamh would have been 7 weeks old today)but it feels like a lifetime.

We have decided to try again for another child as our wish for a baby and a sibling to DD is still there. It will be an anxious pregnancy as I also had two miscarriages in the run up to having Niamh.

Hi woollyjo. I haven't posted here before but have followed your story. So sorry for what you're going through, and I hope you're getting lots of support in real life. I know a couple of people who've been through similar and it does get easier but give yourself lots of time. I wish you so much luck with trying for a new baby. Enjoy your DD, treasure your memories of Niamh, and look after yourself and your DP. xxxx

woolyjo you've been in my thoughts and i'm glad that you are at least feeling able to post and in such an eloquent way.
you sound like a very together person although you probably don't feel it at the moment.

woolyjo Hiya, good to hear from you. You are honestly never far from my thoughts, I really mean that and I do hug my LO and treasure her and think how lucky I am. My first baby was born woth the cord round her neck twice and a huge 'true knot', she needed help breathing when she was born and luckily she was ok but the MW commented at the time that most babies would be stillborn. As u can imagine it was my nightmare through my pregnancy and I just hate that it has actually happened to you and your family, words just can't describe how unfair it is. I'm still so sorry for you all.
