Just checking in for the first time in ages to say congratulations to all those who've had your little ones already.

Sorry I haven't been here throughout but busy days and early nights have killed my internet habit recently. I've just caught up on all your birth stories and I'm feeling quite exhilerated yet terrified of what lies ahead.

I hope I'm not too far behind. Due tomorrow but I'm still feeling far too comfortable! So far, I've been willing baby to hold on but now that my hospital bag is fully packed, the waterproof sheet is on the mattress and my parents have just taken DS and DD away for the weekend, I shall be trying EVERYTHING to get things moving over the next couple of days.

I haven't read above so sorry if I missed anything.

I had my baby on Wednesday 22 July at 2.20pm at home using hypnobirthing (which really worked) and a bit of gas and air at the end.

We've called her Matilda and she is 7lbs 10.5 ounces

Many, many congratulations to hobbgoblin, accebar, ilikeyoursleeves, slushy, starmucks and julyjuly. What a story ILYS!!!!! Well done to your SIL as well, for staying so calm.
How are you krumbock? I'm guessing baby could be here by now - if not then I hope you enjoyed your cousins wedding.
Spent all day feeding and sleeping with DD - she's lovely but turning into a serious milk monster.
DP will be back to work on Monday - I'm really not looking forward to being on my own at all.

Hi ladies, congrats to the new arrivals. Haven't had time to catch up on all the news, will do a quick read once I've posted. We called our wee boy Connor, still deciding on the 2nd name He is over his jaundice now and feeding well, has regained the weight he lost and is slightly over his birthweight now, so very happy that he did that within 9 days.

Baby Samuel Peter Leopold Krumbock made his arrival 24th july at 2:14am weighing 8lb 7oz.
Full head of red hair, will post pics and birth story when i can. But got my VBAC xx

Congratulations everyone!!!! Slowly but surely they're all arriving, only a few of us left waiting now. No news from pop1973, Eviebear, betsyboo or chaya5738??? Surely they've arrived by now?

I'm only 3 days over, went for a long walk both yesterday and today and had a curry last night, but no sign as yet. Have to say, am not really trying to get this baby out yet as am happy for it to wait a little while until slightly further into the summer holidays, am only bothered about making sure it comes before the homebirth/induction deadline. We'll see eh? Have to say though, the flippin heartburn is doing my head in! You'd have thought, as I'm at least 2 or 3/5 engaged, it'd start to get less but it only seems to be getting worse.

Have had a lurvely day today, started off being a grumpy mare due to waking up lots in the night, but got the house cleaner and tidier which always makes me feel better. Then took the kids into town and to the park, got back, had a sleep/rest for a bit while DH went to his second home (B&Q) and then got the bouncy castle out for the kids for a bit. The fact that the sun has been out most of the day cheers me up no end anyway

And congrats to anyone I have forgotten too. Sorry, preg brain and general obsession with going into labour are eclipsing everything else!
Feeling cross I am still pg and now 5 days overdue. Had curry tonight, had sex almost every night, lots of walking, bouncing on ball but just gives me a load of braxton hicks and that's about it...
ooh - had a sort of show as well, except no blood, just a lump of snotty stuff this morning (sorry, TMI!) so maybe things are happening??

Chellebelle, I know what you mean about not really wanting baby to hurry. I'm enjoying the last moments of the relative peace and quiet of 2DCs before the arrival of my 3rd and I see you're on your 4th! Starting to feel a bit niggly though and walks to the park after the kids are becoming slightly uncomfortable (starting to feel like I need to pee whenever I get into brisk trot after scooter mode!). Also my DCs are with their grandparents this weekend so an imminent arrival would be very helpful!

Belgrano, I do feel for you. Life becomes so focused on will it/won't it be today. On the positive side, curry and sex every night isn't such a bad thing - I bet there's not much chat about nightly sex on the post-natal thread! The show sounds positive. My DD arrived within 24 hours of my having a show last time.

I just came across one of your posts on the baby names topic as Arthur's top of our list for a name. In fact it's about the only name we can agree on. Are you still keen? It's had a marmite-like reception from everyone we've mentioned it to - people really do love it or hate it (my in-laws are in the hate-it camp) but I can't honestly think of one I like better and it goes very well with my other Ds and DD's 1900s style names...

I had my son Charlie Joseph at 8.58am on 19th July.
I had a 6 hour labour with just gas and air which I'm really pleased about. He weighed 8lb 9.5oz.

Hello thank you all for the congratulations

Went into hospital at 4pm on thurs because waters were dripping so mw asked me to go in to go on a monitor. By 9pm waters had broken but no contractions so went home at 10:30pm was in full labour and at 12:30am was bk at the hospital 6cm dilated

I am so happy i got my VBAC, used gas and air and had him by 2:14am 24th July. The birth was great, the MW was brilliant.

Only problem i had was that i got a clitoral tear which court a blood vessel and i lost over 3 pints of blood. Everything else went really well.

Very sore at the moment, have stitches and DD is very tried and is playing up but she is enjoying being a big sister, but is wanting to do to much thank god for the playpen which the moses basket is on or she would never leave him alone. i am breast and bottle feeding manly breast but very sore on both nipples .

Will go and find the post-nat thread, he has a full head of copper/red hair and is perfect in every way.

Great news- Charlie Gordon arrived last Sunday night, 19th July, weighing 8lbs 1.5oz.
8 days early.

Guess what ! I GOT MY VBAC !!!!!

So delighted, he is a wee smasher.

I haven't got time to read the thread as I am currantly b feeding my daughter. Islay was born at 08.06am 21 st July after 66.5 hurs in labour. she is amazing and wieghed 8lb 4 oz and was 8 days over due but well worth the wait!

sorry that was 6 and 1/2 hours not 66!

Just noticed on facebook that cheekycel has had her baby. She updated her status to say she is still in hospital due to high fever but baby is doing well. Congratulations and hope you get well soon

Really glad for those of you who had your VBACs. Jealous really as that's what I wanted but my big babies stopped all that happening. main thing is to be healthy and out.

I really feel for all you mums in waiting. DD was 2 weeks over so I know about the finger tapping and trying all the remedies.
The good news is that the heartburn STOPS!!! It has been Goodbye Ranitidine! How wonderful!

I'm home from hospital now and BF baby Gregory. I'm with Krumbock that it bloody hurts for the first few days but that's only while your body gets used to it and the let-down reflex starts up. Uh-oh ... grunting from the crib means it's that time again .... good luck all

Alfie is so big now he doesnt look like a newborn anymore some one commented at the w/e that he looked like a 6 week old and all alert but hes only 3 still hes still gorgeous and cuddly to me

Still here and still waiting Due date today but no signs at all.
Had membrane sweep today due to slight query about dates but cervix is still firmly shut so am not expecting anything imminently.
Is anyone else still out there??????
