In honour of Christiana CS tomorrow thought I'd start a new thread as the other one getting unwieldly.

oh bless you hobgoblin!!! You really sound like you've had a rough time of it. Hope it all goes smoothly from now on and hopefully in a few weeks this'll all become anecdotal evidence to chat about over dinner! Have spent the morning reading your overdue threads as have reached due date today but this baby is still not a reality so am happy to leave her in there for a while at least. Plus the longer she stays in the less summer holidays I have on my own with 4 kids! Have got midwife this afternoon so wanted to get some back up before I go as don't want to even look at booking a induction til I'm 41 weeks. This is the first baby I've had in this area so will find out what local policy is later. Fun, fun, fun!

40 wks on Monday, still no sign at all of this baby all BH and pains have gone, must of been the huge bowl of mint choc ice cream

But at least DD is better now has got over her vomiting bug, fingers are crossed we dont get it.

just to let you know that our little matilda ellie was born on 20/07/09 at 13:50 after just 5 hours of labour in hospital.

went into labour naturally on sunday night (42 week induction was booked for monday night, the curry and the reflexology did it, I think) and went to hospital on Monday morning at 8:40. Was only 1 cm dilated and they nearly sent me home but then my waters broke. The next five hours seem a bit of a blur, they seemed ages to me but everything went really quickly and Matilda Ellie was born naturally at 13:50 that day with just gas and air to help. 3.6 kg and 56 cm.

was a bit of a kerfuffle after that as placenta wouldn't budge, but that was removed with spinal anaesthetic. all without complications after that. just getting used to her now and trying to rest.

Congratulations Mrs Crunch! That's brilliant news, lovely name too. Sounds like a bit of an ordeal so you must rest now.
I am amazed how many of us are still waiting TBH, the moon must be doing something weird as there are lots of us on the 'still waiting' list who are past our dates now. Hmmm, maybe it's the weather .

hey all ...one finger typing on crappy keypad.
all went super today. went into theatre at about 11 for preping. started at 11.30 ... struggled to get baby out of the hole as so big ... but baby Gregory arrived 10 mins later weighing 10lb 6oz!!! Thank goodness we went for the elective CS!
Baby apgars were 10 10 10 so very good. Only thing is his blood sugars are low so they have to heel prick and test every couple of hours... poor boy. He's feeding fine though.
Otherwise I'm feeling pretty good and M and DH have been in for a goodnight kiss.

Pleasure tinged with sadness that we're all popping and life will be strange without MN; assume it's natural to drift away from the site without the excitement of pregnancies and new babies arriving

Congratulations Bonzodoodah, at his size. Poor little thing having the heel prick tests. Noah had to have them before every feed for 24 hours cos of my GD.

hi all excuse lack of punctuation, baby zach is here!!!!!!!!!!! ...and on the boob.

omg such a story, in a nutshell my contractions started 1115pm on tuesday night, became fast and furious within a few hours (over a min long, 2-3 mins apart), i called the hosp and they said to hang about at home for a bit seeing as i was in labour with ds for 4 days. however i knew the baby was imminent about 5am so had to grab all the bags and ds (who thought it was all so exciting, he was copying me shouting during my contractions lol) and dh drove to sils house about 70mph... on the way there we went over a bump and my waters broke all over the (new) car, i was screaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaming with continual pain and when we got to sils i just knew baby was coming. hospital is 20 mins from sils so we ended up running into her house, me screaming in her bathroom and we delivered the baby literally 10 mins later on sils bathroom floor!!!!!!!!!!! sil was talked through what to do by 999 on phone, she was brill, so calm considering. thank the lord all was well with zach and he came out fine and was crying and was pink. paramedics arrived 2 mins after the birth! we were taken to hosp and i was sewn up as i had 2nd degree tears again. least i got gas and air for the needlework!

stayed in hosp last night and all is well so we got home today. i was in total shock and broke down once we got to hospital. fine now tho and baby zach is fab. ds1 is staying at sils again tonight but met his bro today, a little aprehensive at first but stroked him gently and tried to feed him a biscuit, awwwww.

Congratulaions to sleeves, Bonzo and Mrscrunch

Had a horrible night and morning waters have been dripping since 7 pm last night and every time i move its like i wet myself TMI No pains or anything?

Loved my waters breaking last time it was like some one turned on a tap full blast laughed all the way through that bit, it was so loud it woke DP up

Waiting for midwife to call me back, so will keep all posted xx

Hoping he comes soon before saturday, have cousins wedding which she has paid for a sit down meal for us £60 per person, really wanna go!!!

Just a quick update as v tired. I had my baby girl at 1.45am 22nd july. 8lbs 2 oz baby latching great.

I went back up at 12 as no break between cc and a lovely mw showed me to a room gave me gas and air and turned the lights down.

She checked me 4 cms so great I stayed and at 1. 40 I asked her to check again as the pain was really bad she said 6 cms 3 mins later I stared pushing and my baby was born 3 mins after I started pushing.

Not a stitch yay. Her agpars were 9 and 10 and she is beautiful and feeding really well. My mw was great she was even getting into awkward positions rather than move me and let me decide what I wanted to do.

Her big brother loves her and although he is having a few tantrums he seems to be handeling it well and he is overall happy.
congrats to all the other arrivals and hope all our ladies in waiting have some good news soon.

Edward Orson made his appearance in keeping with schedule at 0.53mins am 20th July, weighing 6lbs 11oz. I had hoped for a vbac but 24hrs after my waters broke on Saturday, I had still to experience any contraction and wasn't at all dillated. Still it was a much, much better experience than my previous cs delivery and the mw were amazing both prior to surgery and post natally. And so far we're managing to bf which is sore but brilliant. Congratulations to all the other new mums, and thinking of those still patiently waiting.

hello. Just checking in - still waiting. Have had pains like indigestion around top of bump all of yesterday and baby pummelled me for three hours solidly from the inside. Honestly it was like he/she was doing the GMTV Mr Motivator routine in there. Got pretty fed up of it tbh.

Have got 41 week mw appointment on monday morning and reflexology appointment monday afternoon. at 39 week mw appt she booked the induction for 40+10 ie. friday 31st (well, the "phone up and see if the hosp has a bed spare to do the induction" - if they don't I guess it's not going to be until the following monday)

getting a bit lonely around here. can't wait to join you on the postnatal thread. Really. Can't. Wait. !!
