Yay to all the new mummies & welcome to the new bubs ! i've been lurking here and there but not posted anything over the last few days, great to hear all your exciting & lovely news.
I had a bit of a drama yesterday, resulting in several hours spent at the hospital. Had my show start appearing last Friday morning, and has continued pretty much every day since. This has been with some cramps right down low that have been short & irregular so not enough to get excited about.
However a two pence sized clot appeared yesterday so thought better get it checked out at the hossie. They were great & put my mind at rest, nowt to worry about, however when checking the baby's heart rate on the ole ctg, discovered it was a tad on the high side- arggggggggghhh! Kept me in for a couple of hours, registrar did an internal (such a pleasant experience- NOT !) sent me home once it the trace had levelled out, I went back in last night just to let them double check- thank God all normal or else they were looking to break my waters and probably resort to a c section ...phew ! Think they were being especially careful due to the emcs last time and risk of scar rupture.
I really thought that was it, part of me relieved & resigned to the section, best that baby's safe and that I am well but ...Part of me still really wants to see if my body can push this one out naturally.
To anyone else going through similar- aren't these ongoing cramps a total bugger ?! Just start once and for all, godamnit !
I know it's best if the baby comes in its own sweet time (am not even overdue yet, at 38+3) and have to be patient BUT am not wanting a repeat of last time- '3 days-posterior-agonising-back-pain-latent phase-at home-followed by-every-medical intervention-topped off with an emergency-c section.'
No easy answers, girls, I know but just needed to have a whinge about it !
DH is taking DD out in the morning for the shopping so I will have a lie-in & luxuriate in the bath, then we have a 4th b'day party at the village hall- cue 30 little hyped-up kids tearing about for 2 hours, DD will love it though, even if my eardrums don't !
