Oh scully
Keep us informed!! Start a live labour thread!!

I've just juiced 2 pineapples and drunk the lot - no signs of imminent labour but I do feel very sick

bozette · 10/07/2009 22:21

Go scully won't be long! Good luck!

I'm back in my pre-pregnancy jeans!!! They're a size18 as i'd put a bit of weight on just before I got pregnant but still! yey!

Patchybob · 11/07/2009 10:02

Go Scully Go!!

Tried to update the list for Phoenix after her fantastic news, but couldn't figure it out!!! Hope she is up to doing it later! xx

ilikeyoursleeves · 11/07/2009 15:09

Oooooo lost going on! Congrats to Natty and Phoenix! Best of luck to Scully & Activity for soon to be born babies!

I am feeling soooooooooooooo tired just now. I felt like I'd been drugged when I woke this morning! Thankfully I got some more sleep as DH took DS out for a bit. I'm getting so impatient, still have a few weeks til my EDD but I just want to meet my baby NOW! I'm eating loads of spicey things but nothing's working, boooo.

Anyone else getting loads of Braxton Hicks?

Congrats Natty and Phoenix! Yay. More babies please. Get hatching girls...
No sign here but I'm notquite 39 weeks yet so suppose it's a bit early to start getting impatient. It's way down low between my legs though and masses of BH contractions.

Well i am absolutely knackered. just got back from Blackpool with DH and DS. the idea was to really treat DS on his last weekend as an only child and also help to pass the time quicker!! we had a really good time

good luck scully and congratulations to phoenix

i'm 38 weeks today, i cant believe i am going to meet my daughter on tuesday - so pleased i havent got another 2 weeks plus to wait. DS was 11 days over due and mw said yesterday head was completely free so think this one would make me wait if i wasnt taking matters out of her hands!!

lydiathetattooedlady · 12/07/2009 07:51

hi everyone, first of all good luck to scully and activityapple sounds like you'll both be very soon!
Glad to hear all those with c-sections are healing well!
so far so good here, have persevered(sp) with breast feeding and Bill is doing really wll, only lost 2 oz. he had his best night last night and now goes 21/2 to 3 hours between feeds which i think is pretty good! nipples aren't sore anymore!
pre-pregnancyclothes i got back in mine on thurs but my tummy was a bit tender so am back in my stretchy waist bands!
how are other peoples dc coping with the new additions?? dd is brilliant with bill but seems to hate me, she keeeps telling me to go away and that she doesn't want to see me, had a big cry about it yesterday i hope it doesn't last. i expected some jealousy towards baby but she's soooooo good with him its me she cant stand and screams and cries about me taking her baby away when i have to feed him! oh well it cant all be plain sailing i guess.
anyway good luck as i said before to everyone speak soon x

Gillyan · 12/07/2009 09:23

lydia well done with the BF - I'm jealous! Bill is one of the best boy baby names I have heard - fantastic! My tum is still a bot sore cos I've got a blood clot there so I put some strecthier stuff on yesterday after my initial joy a the old jeans!

JetLi · 12/07/2009 10:38

I think we're in business in this house - was grumbling and niggling a bit yesterday. Got DP to do his husband-ly duty and then went for a curry - good old Frank made sure it was nice and spicy to help things along. Woke up with pains about 6-ish and had a couple of paracetomol and went back to sleep. Woke again at 9 and the pains seem to be good and strong and regular and I've had a show. I've had a bath and put the TENS machine on. Not entirely impressed with being electrocuted but it is distracting at least. So just pottering about at home to see what happens.

Will keep you all informed

It's all very confusing - they're 50 seconds long and 4 minutes apart (using ContrctionMaster). But I can still talk through them if that makes sense - just that seems really close together? What do you think?

It's just a little web based contraction timer program. Saves faffing with a watch and pen and paper.
Knowing my luck I'll go on like this for a couple of days!

Patchybob · 12/07/2009 13:14

Jetli how exciting looking forward to hearing the good news xxxx

Lydia I am sure your dd will settle soon, gosh they know how to make you feel bad don't they! xx

JetLi · 12/07/2009 13:59

Bummox! It all seems to have stopped now... My own fault - decided to make space in the freezer for the joint of pork for today's tea (I figured I'd be eating hospital food tonight and the only way to do this was to finish (or chuck) half a tub of honeycomb ice cream. So I ate the ice cream, froze the pork and now labour has slowed right down and there's bugger all for Sunday dinner
Bummer bummer bummer!

krumbockmummy · 12/07/2009 15:34

So sorry jetli my fingers are crossed for you that it all starts up again.

and congratulations to phoenix

Got a wedding to go to in abit hoping the weather holds for them.

Good luck to all xx

alibobble · 12/07/2009 15:39

Aw Jetli you have my sympathies. Had 5 hours of 3 min apart 30 sec contractions on Friday into sat but all came to nothing... not before a trip to the hospital after 3 hours to find nothing much doing. been knackered ever since. Due date is Fri and baby seems to have turned as a result of action (was back to back but now sort of sideways but not sure). Am dreading it'll keep doing this stop start thing. This was attempt 5 since 32 weeks when I had a bleed. Very fed up as DD was 7hrs start to finish but this ones been awkward since day 1. Must be a boy?!

ilikeyoursleeves · 12/07/2009 15:56

Good luck JetLi! I hope it starts up again but know how frustrated you must be, my contractions came and went with DS. Can you go for a power walk? I did this then my waters broke

Still no action here, have given up thinking 'today's the day' cos I just end up disappointed when it's inevitably not!

JetLi · 12/07/2009 17:37

Thanks everybody - gosh I was really looking forward to that roast pork as well!!
Anyhoo I've managed an hours sleep this afternoon and the contractions are still happening albeit quite sporadically. Got woken up with quite a strong one a little while ago.
I think you're right sleeves - a brisk walk is in order I think. DP is quickly running the lawn mower over the garden and then we're off out for a lap around the park.

  • 5 false starts Ali - I don't envy you that at all! But that's good news that baby is not back-to-back any more. I must admit I was worrying about that same thing this morning as I had so much pressure in my back passage - sorry TMI! Going to do a bit of timing now, and see where we're at. If anyone else wants Contraction master it's here xxx
Patchybob · 12/07/2009 19:18

Boo hoo on the roast port Jetli, hope things get started for you soon x

Well tomorrow is d day for the c section, need to be there at 8am so leaving here early on. Will let you all know how it goes. Probably post via facebook and then on here when I get home.

Feeling so excited and nervous...can't wait to see the baby and know it is all ok x
