Hello to all

Congrats to mrsmope and london on the safe arrival of your twins.

I am swelling up everyday my left foot more then my right?? Is any one else wishing for rain and cold weather? (complain when its cold complain when its hot) But finding it really hard DD wants to go out all i wont to do is hide in the house with feet up and the fan on.

Good luck to the csections tomorrow xx

bozette · 28/06/2009 21:35

Congrats london11 andMrsmope and goodluck tommorrow to dannyg and Plot2.

I have spent today looking after my friends 5 and 3 yo's as well as my own 21 month old. I had to have dh around to help as ijust couldn't run in enough different directions in the park!! Big respect to those of you with multiple littlies already, i don't know how you do it!

Cheekycel · 29/06/2009 08:37

Good morning all! Especially the ladies having C-sections today, so that u'll be holding your little ones soon!

I'm still lazing in bed, how great is ML hey! Seems like it will be another scorcher today. Have nothing planned will probably be having a couple of cool showers.

Bumpwise, everything is still the same ie. nothing happening! 38+3 and nothing! As anxious as I am about the birth I'd rather have this little one out now so I can start enjoying her and the fabulous weather!

Be careful in the sun today, stay hydrated, sit in a paddling pool if it helps!

Chat later

Phoenix · 29/06/2009 09:18

Congratulations MrsMope

Good luck dannyg and plot2 for today's c-sections

Well my LO didn't put in an appearance at the Take That concert . I am so paying for going there today, my body is aching from top to toe. I just want to sit all day but i've got so much washing to do that i kept putting off last week and i've got ds to entertain too, but saying that he is quite good at entertaining himself and letting me rest

Will just go update the list

lydiathetattooedlady · 29/06/2009 09:43

Good luck Danny and Plot2 and HUGE congrats to all of you who have popped since I last looked - you've been really busy! Loads of gorgeous boy twins too. Well done everyone, it makes me very broody seeing all the gorgeous names and hearing about the births.
Happy weeks everyone. Good luck in this 90 degree heatwave we are supposed to be having. Can I recommend a wet towel or flannel or sarong draped over you at night if you're getting boiling hot at night like I am. It works a treat.

xxhunnyxx · 29/06/2009 11:08

God I'm in such a vile mood this morning! It's a good job I live on my own lol. I had trouble gettin to sleep last night and then was waking up with back pain and then I was rudely awoke by a text from my Dad at 7.30am! Who the hell texts ppl at 7.30??? Especially pregnant women who aren't up for work!
I'm just sooooo irritable and the slightest thing is really pissing me off. I don't usually suffer much with PMT so I'm not used to feeling like this and I HATE it.
I'm used to bein so independant and bein able to do everything myself so it's pissin me off that I can't do things and havin to rely on other ppl to do stuff but things not gettin done.
I think I need to get out of the house and see some friends etc but I'm worried I'll lose my friends since I'm so horrible at the mo lol.

Sorry for the winge!

lydiathetattooedlady · 29/06/2009 11:11

hunny its perfectly normal at this stage to feel like that! i was really pissed off with my friends who let me down for our shopping trip on saturday giving me 30minutes notice! it had taken me ages to find someone to have dd, they dont understand it takes planning once you have a children to do anything!
have started a name thread in baby names if anyone would like to judge please be nice though as starting to think this baby will have no name!!

JetLi · 29/06/2009 12:07

Good luck to today's sectioners, Danny and plot2!
One of the lads here got dragged by girlfriend to the Take That concert at the weekend - he just announced "It was completely horrid - like being on a GIANT Hen-Do!" He made me snigger anyway.
Had a shit day yesterday - nasty ligament-y and stretchy pains, coupled with a few of those vile knitting needle up the fanjo ones - utterly horrible. I'm sure this baby has some tools in there with it now . I had a horrible twangy pain at one point - like being pinged with a big rubber band inside, and I shot off the bed expecting my waters to have gone, but alas no. I could only get comfy either on the birthing ball or in the bath, in the end. Feel much better today though.
Finally got the GP to see sense and I'm now proudly sporting a repeat prescription for Gaviscon - 500ml at a time!!!! I was so sick of pissing about with 150ml bottles.
Tomorrow is my last day at work and I'm feeling very odd about leaving now. Plus Ma JetLi has gone into some Psycho-Grandma-Loony-Frenzy mode - she's thinks shes helping I know, but I can't abide all the fuss and I think I'd rather be here in the office in air-conditioned bliss, with my headphones on.
Quite fancying doing a big cooking session for the freezer this week - but I'm a bit bothered by the impending heatwave - I might really do myself a mischief in hot weather with the oven on full blast as well. I think I'll probably do some overnight casseroles instead and put the slow cooker on.

BonzoDoodah · 29/06/2009 13:33

Ha JetLi at the Gaviscon - I've been on teh 500ml bottles for months now - one a week! I was at the hospital today and asked for a prescription for more as I'd run out. The idwife came back and said "here he's given you enough to last the rest of the pregnancy..." I was thinking YIPPEE a gallon bottle ... got to the pharmacy and was give a 150ml bottle [hmmm] ... who are they kidding? That's a day dose!!!

London and LargeGlass - gorgeous babies!!! And lovely bump pics Becca and Hunny BeccaBump is it in your contract that you have to show prospective buyers round your house? If it's not in the contract then just tell the estate agent it is NOT happening. Your Landlords have been completely unreasonable so they have no right to make you show people round (unless contracted to) - and there must be something in there about "reasonable" numbers or timings. And as someone else said I wouldn't be tidying up for them and once you have the baby tell them to F-off. For at LEAST 3 weeks. What can they do? Take ou to court? And the court would say you were being entirely reasonable. Good luck with it.

BonzoDoodah · 29/06/2009 13:38

Well my news is that I went for a sizing scan today (36+2) and saw the consultant afterwards. My darling blob is estimated at 8 1/2 pounds already! With a head diameter of 9.5 cm!!! (We only dilate to 10cm for a reason!) Sooooooooo with another 4 weeks to go it looks like a natural birth is off unless sproglet makes a very early appearance. I'm gutted and had a good cry whilst waiting to see the consultant.

Have a CS booked for the 22nd July. Sob.

mumofshortie73 · 29/06/2009 14:03

Oh Bonzodoodah bloody nora ! I am feeling disappointed on your behalf (i know how much you are wanting to go for a vbac) but will be keeping everything crossed for you that due to lack of room, your baby will cease to grow any more and you will be able to push it out naturally or as you say, it will make an early appearance !

I have knackered myself today by taking DD to the swimming pool, I can't believe doing s'thing so simple would be so exhausting. Think I may take up DH's kind offer and have a sneeky siesta while he takes her for a trip to do some food shopping. We hadn't been to the pool for weeks and I'd kept promising, she was so thrilled to be there and splashed about like crazy.

krumbockmummy · 29/06/2009 14:47

So uncomfortable today having BH since dropping DD off at nursery but they seem to be getting harder, feet have swollen and have a needle like stabbing pain in lady garden area.

Phoned the hubby, before i even told him any thing he said phone you bk in a min and hung up Giving him another 10 mins then i will ring him again. bloody s.o.b lol!!

Keep cool ladies xx

Belgrano · 29/06/2009 15:01

Oh Bonzo, that's a shocker you poor thing. I feel for you. Was your first large? I can't remember why you had the C section first time around. Get on that raspberry leaf tea and pineapple and sex and all that other stuff to coax it out early!
I thought mine was bad - was measured at scan at 36+2 and was estimated at 7 lbs 1 oz already but no noises about C secs so I guess I am considered ok to push out a nearly 10 pounder if it goes to term. Gulp.
I think mine has turned breech today too. Was a lot of movement in the night and today's hiccups were clearly under my ribs, not in my groin as usual so I am gloomily convinced i'll be in C sec land too.

lydiathetattooedlady · 29/06/2009 16:42

ooh bonzo i do feel sorry for you! how do they estimate the weight when doing a scan like that?? i had one done but no one has suggested a weight just said 'it'll definately be bigger than your first!'
have decided i am not venturing outside again until ive had the baby as i cannot cope with the HEAT! i got so cross i nearly cried!
thanks for the in put on my baby names thread you were nice!
im off to have a cold bubble bath!

JetLi · 29/06/2009 17:14

Oh dear bonzo - that don't sound good - a mere 50mm off the magic 10cm. So for you if it stops your VBAC.
I'm sort of imagining that head measurements are going to be pretty damn accurate (even if estimating the weights of babies from the scan measurements is not particularly).
Wonder if they did head diameter at my last scan - I never thought to make the connection between dilation and size of head, but it's bloody obvious when you've written it down like that!
(This coming from a woman who had a pure "lightbulb moment" on the Tube in London a couple of years ago when I finally cottoned on to why they call it the Circle Line )

soozze · 29/06/2009 17:37

oh no bonzo hopefully your lo will come early - still plenty of time before the 22nd.

I've just spent the afternoon in the garden when suddenly it started really bucketing it down, no warning at all !! everything is soaked out there - all the washing I humped around all day and was feeling so good about Do you think i need to rewash all the baby blankets etc??

oddly ds, who didn't really want to be out there today, ran out soooo excited as soon as it started raining and is still out there standing in the rain like a loon

I don't have swollen feet this time. I'm convinced it's because I'm having a foot bath most nights. Last time I looked had shrek like feet and spent much more time with them raised up, even on pillows while asleep.

dannyg · 29/06/2009 18:49

Hia all just a quick post was at hosp @ 7 today as told no food or drink since 11 night before. Shown to room has all checks and changed into gown was 3rd on list. 12 first lady went down 1.30 sho tried to put cannula into hand completely bodged it up, i was in tears she left (no canular). Told anaesatist would do it!!! 2.30 feeling very dehydrated told drip would come 3.30 no sign!!. 4pm consultant came in, sorry due to emergencies Ive been bumped off list today, come back tomorrow at 7am (ground hog day!!!!) then 1hr wait for pre meds again!!!!. sorry for whinge but ds'2 has to stay at Nanny's again and i feel pants 15hrs with no food or drink in this heat. Hope your all ok & a big congratulaions to those who have given birth since my last post. heres hoping for a better day tommow x x x

xxhunnyxx · 29/06/2009 19:03

oh dannyg what a bummer! At least by this time tomorrow you will have your little baby and you would have forgotten all about it. And fingers crossed you'll be first on the list tomos. Good luck and keep us posted x

Patchybob · 29/06/2009 19:58

Dannyg that is truly pants, can't believe it. keep your chin up and tomorrow will be the day xxxxx

Gillyan · 29/06/2009 20:14

Congrats ,rsmope well done

Best of luck tomorrow plot2 and dannyg - I'll be thinking of you both and I hope it goes smoothly for you! Bet you're both feeling sick now?

I feel fantastic today, water infection is gone and yes I got cranverry juice - I am a veteran of UTI's!

Got Summers birth registered this morning!

I am thrilled to bits cos I I started BF again last night and LO hasn't had a bottle all day! MW said no problme to have had abreak for a few dyas then started up, my nipple scabs had come off and my breasts had gone down a tad from the rock hard melons they were. I'm so pleased! I saw ther milk pouring out yesterdya and couldn't bare to waste it so I expressed some to see if there was much there and I got 2 ounces which the MW said was really good for the first time and that my 2 days of BF from birth had had an effect.

babe has put a few ounces back on and had her heal prick test done today - I have to say I seem to be blessed with a chilled out little dude of a baby! I heard someone saying in the park yesterday that they were driving around a 3 am with their baby trying to get it to sleep!!! I am very lucky!

Recovery from section - I am so much better again today, managed to walk round Sainsburys yesterday and go to the park for 2 hrs. I can now get up from lying down onmy own and I can put my own knickers on too! Woo! It's only day 6 and I thought I would be feeling much worse.

Hope you are all okay and not suffering in this heat too much

soozze · 29/06/2009 20:20

dannyg that's awful, thats such a long time to wait without food and drink and then to do it all again the same night. They should definately put you first on the list in the morning. Best of luck for tomorrow, you'll be holding your baby soon xxx

Phoenix · 29/06/2009 20:23

Oh no danny, how crap. Hope they put you 1st on the list tomorrow for messing you around today.

I can't believe what ds has done today. He's wet himself twice. Last week he told me he couldn't wee in his night time nappy til he was in bed and today he has done it in his pants . I know alot of the LO's are doing this too but i honestly never expected him to do it
