London11 Lovely piccies of your LO's, gorgeous!! Hope you're feeling better as each day goes by.

Beccabump I agree entirely, people can be so ruthless & selfish. You would think that the landlords would adjust things to cater for the fact that their tenant is about to pop! You would think that THAT would take precedence over everything else and that they would delay their conveyancing citing the circumstances?! Surely all folk in the chain would understand. Easy for me to say as I too would be wanting the place to be immaculate for viewings, but if you went into labour then you couldn't be there, duster in hand, could you? There is a limit to what you can physically do; you have to rest!!

Had good service at Sainsburys tonight, only 1 till was open (as v quiet) so we joined the queue and then 2 members of staff tapped us on the shoulder and opened a new till just for us, with 'position closed' behind us. Then the cashier couldn't find the code/price for the bag of fresh cherries and so her supervisor gave us them as a gift for the new baby A rare perk of pregnancy, cool!!

rubyriley · 27/06/2009 21:40

x-post with yours Woollyjo but you'll pop soon, don't worry!! I'm definitely standing in line after you, due on 8th, and mine too burrowing out, as you say, with tools. Blooming uncomfortable, little tyke, but glad he's moving and healthy (I suppose!!)

Sometimes feel like head well engaged, then pops back out and much more comfortable, then back down. Sometimes feels like having a sweep from the INSIDE!!

Mij · 27/06/2009 21:43

More congratulations due!

Still here. Still nothing more going on. Lost a bit more plug. Mum has come up a week early so at least that's one thing off my mind, although dying a thousand deaths at the state of the house (and I'm a very scummy Mummy - not at all house proud and only clean/tidy when the need arises or we have guests coming, so it must be truly appalling for me to worry about it). Tried to call triage again tonight (as they said I should mosey in for a check up) but no answer so I'm figuring they're too busy. Will call again in the morning and see if they can tell if I'm losing fluid or it's just part of the show.

Thinking of which, keep having cross-purposes conversations with DP because we work in the theatre and so when one of us mentions a show, we assume we're talking about work!

QueenFee · 27/06/2009 22:54

becca Thats one impressive bump! As for keeping the house tidy for viewing I would take the attitude at this stage that if they want it clean and tidy they can pay for a cleaner - after all they are kicking you out at very short notice
I may also be inclined not to answer the phone

london11 many congratulations on your 2 gorgeous bundles. I am sooo now!

Been on long shopping trip today with DCs so hoping this means that it will help get cervix more favorable for my induction on wednesday. 3 more sleeps yay
I am having bits of a show so hopefully that means something is happening. I am not bothered about the induction but would just like my body to be as ready as possible when it comes round IYSWIM!

Sorry woolley if that means I am jumping the queue... Hope you have your baby in your arms before then x

Gillyan · 28/06/2009 00:13

congrats london beautiful!

wooly hang in there.

It's mega hot here too!

Had to go up to the hospital today - got a urine infection and temperature and got really bad swelling in my ankle feet and legs, it's circulation odema rather than water and it's something to do with the section? feel really poo!

baby is fine, totally gorgeous and so content, having a pretty easy time with her so far just need to get myself better now.

i will try and do pics again tomorrow

I'm not looking forward to this heat wave we're supposed to begetting!

Sorry for crap typing I'm using one hand xxx

Mij · 28/06/2009 04:59

Up at silly time counting movements cos for some unknown reason I woke up already worrying. How stupid are these bloody pg hormones? Will be pacing around now til I get some significant movement . Now wishing I had a home doppler or something...

lydiathetattooedlady · 28/06/2009 06:57

morning! why is it the later your toddler goes to bed the earlier they get up??!! she doesnt usually have a nap during the day so goes 7 til 7(ish!) she had 20 mins in car yesterday was a little sd at bedtime wouldnt go til nearl 9, was up at 5.45 argh!
congrats to all the new mummies, im so jealous! london11 brilliant birth weights gorgeous pics!
hunney i'll echo evryone else and say your ex is a n
b head. he'll really regret his actions when he decides to grow up!
im starting to get a bit scared at the size of this baby, is it possible to have a baby at 6lb13 and have the next jump up so high?? im hoping this has all been a mistake as to me mearuring so big but im really starting to panic! plus all the baby stuff we've got only goes to about 8lbs, im thinking a dash to asda may be in order to get some bigger ones!
no more signs of labour for me, so very jealous of you queenfee and mij after what happened last week i was sure this baby may turn up early but doesnt look like it! oh well only 2 weeks and 2 days left!

Phoenix · 28/06/2009 07:57

Mij - I've been awake alot in the night worried that baby isn't moving too. Been prodding at my belly alot and getting little movements but not enough to make me relax. I have got a doppler and he sounds fine and is moving more now i'm up.

Gillyan - you're feeling so poo, hope you feel better soon. Glad DD2 is doing well

Becca - I certainly wouldn't be running around tidying up for viewings at this stage of pg. Let them view as seen or not at all. Good for you putting your foot down and setting times for viewings. Hope you're doing ok

Take That concert tonight , fingers crossed i don't go into labour .

becca don't be running around tidying up a house to help them sell it! What are they going to do if it's not presentsble? Kick you out?! I once wanted to view a house that was tenanted but couldn't cos the tenant said that he wasn't well, it went on for about 2 weeks so just tell them that. Be firm with them and make sure they know that they can't be doing viewings when you've just had baby, that would just be horrendous!
I know it'll prob be in your contract that they can do this kinda thing but you'd think they would be more considerate under the circumstances..what's happened to common decency eh?

I'm feelin a bit today. Don't really know why, just very hormonal and tired and just got a general feeling of being pissed off. It's like PMT X 10!
Hopefully it's a sign that my 'end of pregnancy' hormones are kicking in.
My mum is on her way round at the mo to try and cheer me up.

Mij · 28/06/2009 11:10

Hello everyone. Little br kept me waiting for an hour for movement, then had about 25 in half an hour, so could relax, but too late to get any more sleep. Phoenix, glad your LO perked up too.

Midwife coming round in the next couple of hours to check out if I have actually got ruptured membranes or it's just a very watery show (still losing little bits of plug so hoping the latter). Very pleased don't have to hang around in hot and stuffy labour ward only to be ignored for hours! Sending DP, Mum and DD out to do the shopping so I can have a bit of peace too. Bliss! Although will be spending the time putting clothes away - have about a week's worth of dry washing covering all the upstairs floor . No wonder I can't find any knickers...

Hi all,

Haven't been on for such a while as developed a few liver problems late in my pregnancy and was back and forth to the hospital every couple of days. My boy/girl twins were born by Caesarian section last Friday 19th June at 38wks + 2 and they are gorgeous. Look very different from each other the girl weighed 7LB 3oz and the boy was a bit smaller at 5LB 15oz. They are both doing really well. I feel OK but the caesarian was much more painful than I expected. Also, thought that I would be back to normal straight after the birth like with a natural birth but still look five months pregnant a week later and very bruised.

Good luck to all the mums in waiting.

Mij · 28/06/2009 12:21

Congratulations MrsMope, sorry to hear the end of your pg wasn't very restful, but what a great outcome, and what amazing weights! My DD was 6lb 11 and a singleton!

Sorry to hear you're taking a while to heal. I had a op similar to a CS to have an ovary and tube removed, and you have to just keep reminding yourself you've had major abdominal surgery and yes, it will take a bit longer to get properly back on your feet! Frustrating I know, but the more you give yourself a break (I know that's impossible with newborn twins, but YKWIM ) now the quicker you'll be skipping around again. Good luck with the healing! Have you tried arnica for the bruising?

LargeGlassofRed · 28/06/2009 14:03

very quick one again in between feeds, have put a couple of pics on profile.
Congratulations to all the new arrivals.
Freddie and Stanley are doing well trying to get them to feed at the same time could do with another 3 hands .
They are going about 2 hours between feeds now.
Will try to do my birth story soon before I forget everything.
Good luck all in waiting

Hello all

Congratulations to all the new mummies, especially those of twins. I'm a twin and quite fancied having them myself as this is most defo the last pregnancy.

dannyg you are in for a c-section tomorrow same as me - good luck, lets hope we both have good experiences like Christiana and Gillyan.

Thanks for the birth story gillyan, doesn't sound at all as bad as my imagine runs away with!

Probably won't post for a while so good luck to you all

x

Beccabump · 28/06/2009 17:27

Good luck for tomorrow dannyg and plot2 I hope all goes well with your sections and that you are back here soon with your babies to tell us how it went!

Congratulations to mrsmope too! Wow so many babies now and it's still not July!

soozze · 28/06/2009 18:32

Wow so much activity in such a short space of time.

Congratulations LGOR, rattling, London11 & mrsMope !!! It?s so lovely to see your pics lgor and London, they are all so gorgeous. I really wanted twins this time too.

Activity I did have a sweep last time and it didn?t hurt, was just that uncomfortable smear type feeling. But from what I hear I think it depends on the person and also the midwife doing it.

Christiana the camera would?ve been a great present but ds already has one, wish we?d saved the idea now. We?re thinking a laptop toy ? does anyone have one? I?m not sure if it?ll be loved or just played with a few times and left, he might be too old for it. Hope the weather picks up for you soon, it has a big effect on mood I think too.

Mij hope alls going well with you, and it?s not the main waters yet. My lo is quiet most of the day, but then makes up for it at night. It makes the counting 10 movements thing worrying some days. Also mostly they?re not really big movements, more a sort of lump sticking out every now and then.

Dannyg hope your hv visit went well. My ds didn?t talk much at 2, but over the next year he became a real chatterbox. Good luck for the cs tomorrow. Good luck to you tomorrow too plot2 !! It must be so exciting knowing you?ll have your baby tomorrow.

xxhunnyxx · 28/06/2009 18:55

Congratulations to the new mums, I'm losing track of all these babies now and who I've said congrats to .

I've just added a bump pic to profile.

moodylou · 28/06/2009 19:12

Congratulations LGOR, rattling, London11 & Mrsmope

Good luck for tomorrow Plot2 and dannyg

I'm right behind you in the queue Woollyjo. I'm getting very of everyone having their babies and am hoping i don't go too far past my due date.

Activity - lol at doing a Mariah! I'm the same. I've got one bag for labour, one for the hospital stay after and a bag with things for the baby in it. Dh has also got a bag for labour full of food and drink as well . I'm just taking the two labour bags into the hospital to start with though...don't want them thinking i'm planning on staying for a week!

Mij · 28/06/2009 19:16

Good luck everyone for CSs tomorrow.

LGOR awwww, what lovely little lads!

Feeling soooo much happier because, even though now having really quite strong BH (well, that's what I'm still calling them cos they're coming and going) MW said there was no evidence of waters going, and I'm still all round healthy. Can't believe it's going to be much longer though, just cos the BH are making me slow down now. And still losing bits of plug. DP supposed to be working an hour train journey away tomorrow so won't be making that call on whether or not to go 'til the last minute. I'm getting deja vu - it's almost exactly what happened last time, different city but same situation, and in the end he had to come charging back on a late train, even though I told him I didn't think it was the real deal and he should stay and finish the evening's work. Bloody good job he ignored me!

QueenFee · 28/06/2009 19:57

Hi All
mrsmope congrats on the twins safe arrival x
I was worrying last night about movements as they appeared non existant. Today bubs has made up for it! so much for my lack of sleep then. My feel are dreadfully swollen and DH thinks I should see the Dr but I have a feeling they will just send me away I mean I am usually a size 12 but I have the legs ankles and feet of a size 22 no kidding!

I have realy found it hard to do anything today, which is frustrating as I know how much (ordinary boring) stuff I need to get done before wednesday.

good luck for tomorrows csections

I have 2 bags packed but I am sure I had more stuff last time and am a bit worried that I have forgotten something important?

mij glad all seems well.

Have been trying to mumsnet off my mobile. It will let me read the thread but not post so my news will have to come through Facebook. (it lets me do that for some reason!)

Misspaella · 28/06/2009 20:19

DannyG and Plot2 good luck tomorrow.

Mrsmope congrats (and anyone else I have forgotten) on your arrivals.

I have 9 days left and I have NO SIGNS of things progressing. BH are the same. Bump is the same. Everything is just the same!!! It is so hot here and another week of heat is going to drive me mad. I could barely take DD for a walk last week or to the park. DS thankfully is at nursery in the morning so is feeling quite tired by lunchtime due to the heat so not too much running around after him.

My LO is also keeping me awake at night dancing in my belly. Is anyone else awake from 4am?!?!
