Hello all! Thought I would start this off as our existing thread is full!

Hi everyone had scan today all is good baby is right sixe for dates and healthy - also she thinks it's a girl - she said 70% chance it's a girl.
So I'm happy.

Hi everyone. Just updating the list as it has not been done for ages (or is it just that we all talk so much ). As before, I have not kicked anyone off of the list as you will all be part of the January 2010 club as far as I am concerned. I have moved peoples dates around (as per scans etc) where I could. Also I have added a couple of people who have joined but were not on the list. If I have missed anyone or if anyone from the bottom of the list no longer wants to stay on there, then please amend as you wish.

I was so worried I nearly threw up whilst waiting

Well I am happy was also prescribed something to help with the sickness all day since I am loosing weight - will try that tomorrow.
But also excited it's a girl .

timmette how could they tell it was a girl?

timmette how many weeks are you? i thought that the earliest the sex could be known was 14 weeks?
well i got my scan date throug hadn not til 6 july so that will make me 2 days short of 14 weeks! bit gutted as still ages to wait but good as i may get to see more and then it will only be 6 weeks from then or my 20 weeks scan. though i will prob end up with a scan at 22 weeks!

She saw it on the scan they also saw it with ds when he was 12 weeks - they do warn that it is only 70 - 80 percent accurate so early.
I am 12 2days and was 12 and 4 days with ds.

There is still a chance she is wrong - so no pink shopping until scan next month.

There are articles on the internet about it can be seen as early as 11 weeks.

Great news timmette are you going to tell the family it's probably a girl?

Lovely news timette. Sorry you're being so sick though, that must be grim, and really hard with another little one running about.

Bethoo I'm 6th July for scan too, in a way it seems like ages away, but on the other hand I think it may rush up

My symptoms are back with a vengence, after calming down I've now had lots of sickness, and 'hot' boobs

I got home from work today at 2pm (my halfday) and had been moving furniture about (mobile furniture). I felt guilty as was so tired I went to bed for 2h with DD sat next to me watching children's channel, I got her out in the garden for a bit after Tea though.

Had my 12 wk scan today and everything looks peachy! Little Pipsqueak was kicking and waving away, very cute! Sonographer was really nice and gave me loads of pictures. Next scan will be around 20 weeks. Glad to hear both my scan buddies got on well too!

From looking at that link and looking at my scan pictures I would guess that i'm having a girl lol.
Wonder if i'll be proved right at my 20 week scan

so, my scan was at 6.25

I have just go home. I live next to the hospital. over 2 hour wait for scan and one hour wait for blood results- madness.

Anyway the bean is kicking away, merrily, looks human (?!!) and has little toes and everything. Risk of downs is 1 in 33300, so that's all good.

The thing that bothers me......?

ITS A BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! was so hoping for a girl!! I guess I just hoped I'd have a little DD clone- wow I had no idea they could tell that soon

Crumpette, I hadn't realised until your post yesterday that you lost your dd this year; I'm very sorry. I hope this is not an insensitive thing to say, but, I think I would be glad the new baby was a boy.

Hey thanks biccy yeah, I guess I was irrationally hoping the new baby would be exactly the same in every single way to dd-

To be honest though, it may be easier to not compare/be disappointed/give kid issues if it is a different sex.

It was definitely healthy, so I am happy. I'd rather have a healthy little boy than no baby (I just have never ever thought of boy names! help!)

I am still quite surprised they told me though- so early? I have been googling 'nub' pics! I can't measure the angle on my pic! DP thinks I am insane and is just rather proud that this, ehem, 'nub' is so visible.

I'll try and work my scanner and stick it up here in the next couple days so you can see what a boy apparently looks like

Hi all,
Hope everyone has a good day at work or at home. Had my first appointment with midwife yesterday to fill in the usual 1,000 forms. She seems really nice though and veh relaxed - so I can stop worrying about bossy people for a while! She did tell receptionist off for booking my appointment too early though - as couldn't take blood for combined test yet as I'm a few days short of 10 weeks (didn't tell her that I couldn't come next week as am at a Blur gig in Hyde Park!!).
Am off to visit some friends in Ireland today and the not drinking thing is going to be tricky - while I'm having the odd drink there will certainly be raised eyebrows that I'm not 'enjoying their hospitality'! Here's hoping they're too polite to ask... (though given the bruise the midwife made taking blood yesterday I may be able to get away with 'just gave blood, can't drink for 24 hours' which served me very well for dinner out last night!!)

Just updated my details on the list... midwife moved date by a day (!) and added location.
