June2009 · 11/06/2009 14:31

erm LOL, obviously meant "baby whisperer" there It's high time this little bundle came out and I recovered some of my brain cells!
Still not managed to catch up here and itching to finish tidying up my office.

Just checked Tee's fb but nothing so far.
Her dh's last post was yesterday: "(Tee) settled in nicely, hopefully will be seen first thing tomorrow morning."
How long does a c-section take? I reckon she has got her baby by now

Take care!

Naat · 11/06/2009 16:38

LOL June! I read it and thought but you never know There are so many whisperers out there

llynnnn · 11/06/2009 17:49

hi all, just a quick check in to say STILL no baby and STILL no real signs! looking very very likely i will be needing that induction tomorrow.

Daisy - I really dont want to be induced, but have also heard of the placenta getting 'worn out' and if you wish to go over the 42 week mark you have to go in for monitoring each day to keep a check on things. i can totally understand why you are worried about being alone though, such a hard decision. do you have a back up if dh couldnt make it?

Blueberry - congratulations on the birth of your daughter! fantastic news!

naat & bunnymother - i've also taken down your mobile numbers so i can let you all know hope thats ok?!(dh wouldnt have a clue how to post on here!)

Effie - great news about Rupert's progress, hope you get to start breastfeeding asap

Hi to everyone else, if I dont get chance to post again before i go in tomorrow morning the very best of luck to you all and i hope by the time my little girl is here there will be lots of other exciting baby news!

sending baby vibes xx

Naat · 11/06/2009 17:54

llynn of course, no problem! Will be waiting for your news! If you don't post again today, all the best for tomorrow, you're going to have your LO in your arms soon!! xxx

ermintrude13 · 11/06/2009 18:01

llynn Hope all goes well for you tomorrow and look forward to hearing your news

june you could have told me you were being ironic and I'd have believed you

Hope we get Tee's news soon!

chocciedooby · 11/06/2009 19:15

Congratulations Blue Can't wait to hear the details and babys name

Good Luck tomorrow Lynnn - It will all be over soon

Had a mad afternoon. So much for relaxing. Spent the morning cleaning, laundry, wrapping gifts for the boysd from the baby, fathers day gifts, dads gift etc etc. When I collected the boys from grannys they both had meltdowns for 30 mins which was exhausting and especially embarassing in front of the neighbour that dropped in with her girls for an hour.

DH on way home from work. Will be glad when he is here to answer the bloody phones. They have not stopped ringing all day and I'm not even due until next week!

Sorry for the moan, its all I seem to do these days. Have no patience.....

June2009 · 11/06/2009 19:23

Lynn Good luck for tomorrow, and I hope you start labour before then, you never know!

Blue CONGRATS!! What's your daughter's name? I hope these first few days are going well for you.

I can't catch up... must try harder tomorrow :D

I have tidied up and filed everything I can in my office, chosen my annoucement cards, picked up my new glasses, done some laundry... feeling a bit like insy and caught myself looking at the skirting boards this afternoon ;)

I haven't had any more plug coming out at all so it may just have been "something else". Legs are better and I can walk and go up and down the stairs yay!

What are the babies doing still inside? there's so much more to do outside. I am trying to lure her out by playing music and singing french lullabies but no can do!!

Just checked Tee's dh's fb and one of their friends posted "congratulations" but there are no other details.

bigcar · 11/06/2009 19:44

evening all

blueberry, huge congratulations to you

llynnn, all the very best for tomorrow, hope it all goes smoothly for you, can't wait for news

effie, so pleased Rupert is doing well, hope the breastfeeding goes well

tee, thinking of you hope we get to hear news soon! Hopefully tee is holding her lo now and didn't get bumped for any emergency css

june, I hate to say it, but I'm afraid my brain is still mush, I think maybe that takes longer to return to normal after each baby

silk, hope you're ok!

daisy, hope you got on ok today. The main risk with induction is that it increases your risk of intervention, not sure by how much, sure there is probably a thread on that somewhere. Whether you go for it in your circumstances is entirely down to you useful I know How you are induced depends on what your cervix is up to and what your hospitals policy is. I've been induced twice now and all that has involved is having my waters broken as I have been a couple of cm dilated each time anyway. If your contractions don't start or a irratic they can put a drip up to speed up the contractions. Being induced usually means a higher level of monitoring too but you can usually move round the bed, unless your unit has mobile monitors. My inductions both ended in cs but please remember that had nothing to do with the induction at all

hopefully we'll have a lot more babies over the next few days! Waves to all

evening everyone and huge congratulations to Blueberry
Good luck for tomorrow llynn hopefuly the threat will kick start things for themselves tonight
Hope Tee is ok and the cs went well today.
Hi Bigcar Its lovely of you to check up on us all I hope things are going well for you
June I had loads and loads of mucus plug(TMI) last week and have had nothing since I just hope it means we will have speedier births
Naat hope you have a good ddate tomorrow and are feeling good
hope everyone else who is waiting is coping with everything and trying to get some sleep

daisy5 · 11/06/2009 20:50

Thanks all. Another sweep today and it is looking better, still just 1cm but soft and cervix posterior. Induction booked for Tuesday as only day they could do it, but I think he will come before then. Just had my mini sneeze in my knickers and lots of pressure so that's good. She said they would just break the waters, no need for anything else.

Thanks bigcar, erm and doris for your thoughts on it.

Better go as dp waiting for me, will catch up properly tomorrow.

daisy5 · 11/06/2009 20:51

Good luck lynn for tomorrow.

DorisIsAPinkDragon · 11/06/2009 21:42

For anyone interested photos are up, (for a limited period only

Congrats to tee and blue the LO are coming thick and fast now. We'll soon be able to graduate to postnatal!!!

Effielou · 11/06/2009 21:59

Hi ALL.

Congrats tee8 and blue and thanks to nahui* for your update xxx

Hope all of you are not too fed up at the mo-- you will all get your bundles soon and it will be worth it.

Well....... We managed 2 BF not very successful a couple of licks and he latched on once- but my nips are soo big and his mouth so little, but considering how poorly he's been- its a good start. We had lovely cuddles and eye contact today. I was slightly pee'd of this morning, as his lovely nurse who is really very nice told me when I rang- that after I'd left last night- she engaged with Rupert and had real eye contact and a real "mummy" moment I felt like screaming down the phone saying "but I'm his mummy"- she was only trying to say he was beginning to act like a normal baby-- but I had a real tinge of jealousy!!

But apart from that - we all had a really good day-- more please xxx

ps I've even started singing and putting on make-up-- and I picked the kids up from school xxx

Hope you are all well xxxx

loooouise · 11/06/2009 22:00
