here we go...
Guess in the next one will be the one where we'll be waiting for the first kick! hooray it's the weekend! i haven't had any stretchy stomach feelings, maybe a quiet period pain rumble (!? is that what you mean?) well what a beautiful day i'm lying on sofa under a blanket, laptop on lap and sky baby channel on in background (i've just shed a few tears of happiness for a manchester mum who has just screamed her head off and given birth to a baby boy).

can't remember who asked - cads? re: measurement of c to r . i had one scan at 11+1 babe was 4.5 and another at 12+2 and it measured 6.0 cm.

have good sats jen

Thanks everyone for such a warm welcome!

Sorry Deige to hear about your sickness. I read about that in one of my books and it sounds very unpleasant. I freand of mine has the same and lost 1/2 a stone. I really do hope that it wears off soon

My EDD is 19th Nov! I am very excited. This will be my first bubba

Enthusia · 17/05/2005 18:27

Hiya all

Crap day because of head and warring staff. Trying to forget about it now!!

Mind you, I was trying to keep a low profile at lunch so went and ordered one of those cushions, so that was a good use of my time!!! Fiver on its way Rodeo I went for plain white as well, think they will run out soon!!!

Bamik, ChaCha and I are both new to all this too, how are your symptoms?

ChaCha - Chips, yummy, think I have a salad tonight

Xena · 17/05/2005 19:06

I'm bleeding again

BEKsmum · 17/05/2005 19:37

Xena are you all right? Let us know when you can we're worried about you, try and take it easy and if it's not teaching you to suck eggs, call your mw and see what she says to do. Keeping everything crossed for you and sending you {{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}

BEKsmum · 17/05/2005 19:48

Rodeo yuck thats far too much information re the pillow thank you [wink.

Bamik welcome aboard and good luck with your first pregnancy, hope it all goes well for you, Chacha & Enthusia are in the same boat as you so you should all be able to compare notes. We're all hear to offer advice too if you need or want it

Diege welcome aboard too, wow no. 3 very brave, a few of the other girls are on the same no. so they'll be able to tell you what you are letting yourself in for. Hope the sickness wears off soon and that the rest of your pregnancy goes smoothly. I'm due the same day as you by the way and this will be my second.

Had a good day today, feeling a lot less sick, took ds to the park on his bike, then he went to Microsports and then he's been to tea at a friends so dh & I get to have dinner in peace this evening which will make two days in a row - hooray.

Got some lovely photos developed of ds today so will be busy putting them in the album tonight.

Xena thinking of you sweetheart, hang on in there.

Speak to you all tomorrow.

ChaCha · 17/05/2005 20:40

Hi Enthusia - i don't know about you but i'm counting the days till the summer holiday. I don't know what i'll do with myself, all that time off! As if teaching isn't stressful enough without added faff - yuk!

Beksmum - Good to hear that you're feeling a bit better, you and your DS seem to do a lot together and I hope i'm able to entertain my kid/s the way some of you do so well on here. Hope you have a peaceful and relaxing evening

Xena - have you spoken to m/w. Am sure it's all okay, pls keep us posted. Thinking of you.

Enthusia - you're right to go with salad. I was violently ill after the chips and spent two hours absolutely crashed out in bed - had gone for a 'lie down' after being sick!!! Am feeling a bit crap but have asked my DF to make me some toast and look after me a bit.

I shall announce again that i received my maternity exemption card today!!!!! LOL They forgot to attach the certificate though.

4 more days till 13 week scan...whoppeeeee

ChaCha · 17/05/2005 20:59

Rodeo/Enthusia, was just reading my receipt from motherbliss and noticed that there were two items - one for the standard pillow and one for the cover, does that mean you get the two separate or is it just a breakdown? sorry to be so thick!!!!

rodeo1 · 17/05/2005 21:02

Oh Xena, how worrying Although I'm sure everything will be ok for you. Keeping everything crossed for you nevertheless x x x

Just noticed on the stats board LilJ had her nuchal on Fri and hasn't reported back yet
LilJ - If you're out there let us know how you are

Also to all the other non-frequent (is that a word?) members, we'd love to hear from you all! Even if it's just to check in! I do realise that myself and a few others (mention no names chacha!) do monopolise this thread a bit but it's just because we're a bit sad!

Love to all x x x

rodeo1 · 17/05/2005 21:05

Oooh not sure chacha - can't get into my e-mails (how handy!) at the mo, will let you know when I can

ChaCha · 17/05/2005 21:18

LOL @ Rodeo!
Me??? Dominate the board??
That's it! I'm on strike! Beg for my presence!!!

mummygow · 17/05/2005 21:21

Xena hope everything is o.k !!!!!

Bamik and Diege hope you enjo the ante-natel group as much as I do!!

How many of you got pillows today?? They sound great will have to have a look but will have to wait till end of month for splashing out.

Chacha sorry to hear you were sick again today. I havent been sick for ages but did feel yucky all day but in the last 2 hours have stuffed my face (probably make myself sick)

Becksmum I'm on my second too

I have been stuck in house for days as dd has a cold but if cough is not too bad tonight she will be going back to nursery tomorrow.

rodeo1 · 17/05/2005 21:44

Awww Chacha (I always want to call you 'Chachi', Fonzie's cousin in Happy Days) Don't be offended!! You also remind me of that panda in London Zoo (is that where your name originates?) Can't you apply your eye make-up correctly? Now I've really offended you!!

Enthusia · 18/05/2005 08:34

ChaCha, I thought you may have got your name from a Missy Elliott song - The part of the body she refers to with this words is quite appropriate for this site

Xena - How are you today?

ChaCha - Have not really checked my receipt, but if you paid £18 something, in total, like me it is 1 pillow and 1 cover - so probably just a break down of it.

ChaCha · 18/05/2005 09:13

Crikey - is it something i said?!?

Enthusia - my favourite film as a child was 'Grease'. Cha-Cha Di Gregorio (she was the dancer)was my favourite character and so the name kind of stuck. Hope that sheds some light on my unusual choice of name.

Have a good day.

rodeo1 · 18/05/2005 09:35

I'm only joking sweetheart - the place wouldn't be the same without you!

Have a good morning everyone. Off to hunt out that old grease vid now! x x x

hamster · 18/05/2005 09:47

Good Morning all,

Dp says I have to use pillows, as I can't sell him the reasons for having a "proper maternity" one. Says they're a waste of money.
I will keep on and on and on and on though till I win (which I will)

Well today, I mostly be feeling not too bad. Felt a little icky when I got up for work this morning, soon passed thankfully. Just the tiredness to battle now.

Everyone at work is beginning to notice my tum. Not hard to miss though, I look about 6 months pg already!

Xena. I really hope you're ok. Sure you will be fine. It's quite common. Just take it v.easy. Let us know. {hug}

Beksmum, glad you were feeling a bit less sick yesterday. How are you doing today?
How's everyone else doing in the m/s department?

Chacha, I like your name-it rocks. Wonder how everyone else came up with theirs? The mind wonders.....

rodeo1 · 18/05/2005 10:03

A while back on mumsnet there was a offer of a free sample of those mums essentials vitamin capsules, did apply for some? Because mine came this morning (along with a copious amount of bills)!!

rodeo1 · 18/05/2005 10:10

Oh gosh yes Xena, how are you sweetie? Such an idiot blabbering on about vitamins x x x

Enthusia · 18/05/2005 10:19

ChaCha - no offence meant!

BEKsmum · 18/05/2005 10:31

Morning girls, lol out loud at you lot, you are very funny. Rodeo you're on great form!!

Xena how are you doing sweetheart, did you get some rest last night? Please let us know how you're doing if you get a moment still got everything crossed for you.

Rodeo the place definitely wouldn't be the same with out Chacha it would be quiet for a start!!

Chacha are you feeling victimised? We're only teasing honest. Great name and even better choice of favourite film, mine too along with An Officer and a Gentleman and Bugsy Malone!

To be honest I do a lot with my son because he hates being at home. He is a complete pain if we stay in so at one time I was doing a club or activity with him everyday. So if I'm honest it's really for my own sanity that we do so much but I would definitely recommend joining groups etc if you are staying at home as it makes such a difference and can help combat post natal depression

Mummygow sorry I'm sure you've probably told us this or it's on the stats list but how old is your little one?

Feeling fairly good today so lets hope that last weeks extra burst was the last of the morning sickness, still feeling whacked out though.

Got to go and get ready as taking ds out for a ride onhis bike with his best buddy then he'soff to pre-school so I can slob around and do nothing hooray!

Have a good day all and I'll catch up with you all later.

busyalexsmummy · 18/05/2005 11:08

morning everyone, still icky, still got ms-will it ever go??????!
shock horrow was bathing ds last night and found headlice-ewwwwwwwww, spent the entire program of bad girls combing my hair with a nit comb so much so my head hurt afterwards as i did it soi hard and throughly! rang dr this morning and they said they dont use the treatment shampoos anymore becuase they dont work, great so we have to keep washing hair in tea tree and combing trough with the comb and thats about as much as we can do. my poor ds, theyve really been eating at his por little head, its covered in little gash marks, its so hard aswell trying to keep a 15 month old still whilst i try and comb through and pick out the eggs, luckily though i think we must have had it for only about 48hrs as there seems to be very little eggs thankgod. what a nightmare!
have got dentist tommorrow which is scarey as havent been in about 5 yrs so worrying as to what they will need to do to me! :-(

ps, woke up this morning without having gone to toilet in the night and found a perfect little baby bump-oviously where my bladder was full as, as soon as i went to the loo it dissappeared!, exciting though!

hope everyones well xx

toomanypushchairs · 18/05/2005 12:07

sad news from xena, she is at the hospital now, am waiting to here if she has to have dnc. She is worried about the g.anesthetic

Xena · 18/05/2005 12:54

Hello, the hospital have let me home and I have to go back in the morning, as toomany said I'm very scared of the GA having low blood pressure makes it scary for me. I'm really sad can't quite belive whats happened. Althougth when I went for a scan a couple of weeks ago they said the baby was ok but more like 8.5 wks rather than 11.5 I can't help but think they were wrong they think it carried on growing after that for a coupl of weeks but probably died a week ago.
All the best to everyone else.
Diddle I hope that your BD goes well but I think my body has had enough pg's now and probably won't be joining on the TTC thread.
xx Thanks for thinking of me.

Diddle · 18/05/2005 12:55

OH my god, have only just read about Xena, please keep us informed, i hope everything goes ok and that the baby will be alright, or has it already gone?

Diddle · 18/05/2005 12:57

oh Xena, i am so sorry. you must feel like crap. Look after yourself, and you never know once the pain and upset has subsided you might change your mind. I'm here if you need me.
